Tips: heat it up with a blow dryer and when buying buy for your eye shape
Before I knew any better I used to use my pair pretty religiously. Then one day I splashed out on an expensive pair and I would never look back.
Will these curl your lashes? Yes. But not completely. Because its quite rounded you have an increased chance of pinching your outer lashes and you cant quite get right at the root...
Of course, if you don't care THAT much, these will be fine.
This was the very first eyelash curler I ever used. I bought it at the pharmacy, and raced home, eager to curl my eyelashes like a proper grown-up.
I failed miserably.
Part of it was my technique, but part of it was that the Manicare Eyelash Curler isn't designed for my Asian eyes.
It's quite curved, which meant that I wasn't able to grip all of my eyelashes at once, and had to go at it several times.
That being said though, it is a great eyelash curler at a basic price - if it does fit your eye properly!
I bought one, as I forgot mine while on holiday. I found mine didn't really curl as my QVS one. But its a great cheap curler if you're just starting out.
Tips: Make sure you hold it down for long enough that you actually curl your lashes (that way you don't have to go back for a second or third go)
I found that once I curled my eyelashes, the curls lasted for an hour before they straightened up again. I like the look when it is curled! Easy job to do :)
Tips: Heat the curler up to make the curls stay longer!
Its hard to write a good review of this as one of the black seals broke off not long after i got it and it is too small and fiddly for me to fix. It still works ok without but doesnt give you much confidence when things start falling apart.
I currently use these curlers, they are ok , they do the same job as expensive ones I bought. I curl my lashes every day and haven't found any that are any better
Tips: Give the curler a quick blast with a hairdryer before using make sure that its not too hot before you put in on your eyes by testing on your hand.Gives a more dramatic curl.
Positive: Curl lasted all day with mascara application. Soft rounded curl rather than straight up. However my hooded almond eyes makes it difficult to get the curler close to the base of the lash. The lack of spring-loading action means I needed to apply lots of pressure... something I'm reluctant to do due to pinching! Overall though, a reliable curler.
You can never go wrong with Manicare. Inexpensive products, available almost everywhere and although basic, actually do the job. I use the curlers often and it makes my natural lashes pop, even without lashings of mascara.
My eyelashes got stuck to the pads and it felt like they were going to get pulled out. Maybe I squeezed them together too hard? I'm not sure curlers are good for your eyelashes, I'd rather just hold the lashes up with my finger until the mascara dries for a safer and more natural curl
Tips: Be careful!!
