This is a good sized brush for applying foundation. I used it with Australis foundation and it applied on really well. Big enough to that you can do a decent area at a time, but not too big that it feels like a giant is doing it. I used to use my fingers so this is definitely a step in the right direction. It goes on a lot smoother and more evenly than if I used my fingers and seems to last longer too.

Tips: Don't forget to clean the brush every so often
This is a great brush for liquid makeup, I purchase a new brush every 6 months (not necessarily as recommended but because I feel more comfortable replacing it regularily). I Wash it with warm water and a little liquid soap once a week and wrap the brushes in a tissue to dry overnight (tip wrap it into the shape so not bristles become disjointed). Would be ideal if it came with a cover or in a pouch to travel with. Other than that a great valued product.
Tips: Mould the bristles to shape after washing, it keeps it in shape.
This brush is quite a good price. The flat base of the handle is easy to sit the foundation brush on it's end. The bristles are soft and packed densely together. It's handle Is short and makes it easy to use around the face. It applies the foundation to the face however it leaves streaks and you need to follow up with a stippling brush to buff out the streaks and harsh lines. I like to use the brush by applying the foundation to the face in a dot format in the area needing coverage, then brush out the foundation towards the hairline after which I follow behind with my stippling brush to buff out the streaks and harsh lines. I do put the least amount of foundation to the brush as this helps with the streaks. Then build up the foundation to get the desired coverage. I'm happy with the effects of this brush and don't believe that a foundation brush can set the look you want alone. You will always need to follow behind any foundation brush to get a flawless effect. I like that it's a inexpensive and for that reason I don't hesitate to recommend it. Also the fact that it's short handle makes it a breeze to use Ideal for newbits learning to apply foundation with brushe's and not going to break the bank. I'm not too sure if this is a cruelty free product, it's not NZ branded that's certain. If looking into first time brushes you can't go too wrong here.
Tips: Wash before first use. dry either on the side or at an angle never dry brushes handle side down as this will deteriorate the glue in the ferrel and shedding of the bristle hairs will occur. When using liquid foundation wash it after each use if possible with either a spray brush cleanser or every 2nd day with brush shampoo and deep cleansing shampoo weekly. This prevents any bacteria growth and gets rid of build up. Also ensuring a flawless makeup application and prevention of any skin irritations. Also when using liquids use the least amount and build up as you go. Like any make up build up.... most of all have fun and enjoy your makeup routine....
I was excited to try this brush because it was an affordable price. However I was slightly disappointed. Sometimes this doesn't blend my product out very well. Sometimes it leaves my foundation looking streaky.
It's bet if it's cleaned after every 3 or 4 uses otherwise the final outcome isn't as good.
Whilst waiting for a prescription at the pharmacy recently I came across these brushes. I already have brushes but I thought "you never know" it could be a real gem.
The black handle is easy to hold and I love how soft the bristles are and how packed in the bristles are, for such a cheap brush I was starting to think I was onto a big winner.
I dab some foundation on and start blending, for a start it was easy but then it turned to custard. I was left with streaky lines and had to buff the rest with a stippler brush, I did try several other foundations but had the same result. But I don't actually mind using this brush then following up with a stippler brush.
It's easy to clean (I used the bossy brush cleaner) and it came up like new.
Overall Its alright and it won't be the last time I use it. It's great as a back up brush or for a beginner
This was my first ever foundation application tool. I was so proud of myself when I would swipe foundation all over my face, even though I wasn't actually happy with the result.
It leaves brush strokes across my face which I then need to buff out with a beauty blender or fingers. This was particularly noticeable down my nose and the bridge between my eyebrows.
I still have the brush, but I rarely use it any more. Not a big loss though as it is fairly priced.
I have a few manicare brushes and have recently (last 6 months) started getting into liquid foundations (I was a mineral foundation junkie before) I had tried with a stiple brush, sponges and thought and I’d give a normal foundation brush a go.
This brush looked like its manicare brush counterparts with a nice long simple black handle.
The bristles felt nice and soft but firm enough to do a good job of blending out my foundation.
I decided to use this with my Kat Von D Lock it Foundation. I dotted the foundation on my cheeks chin nose and forehead and tried to use the brush to blend this out.
I’m not entirely sure if the Kat Von D foundation is just too much for this brush as I’ve never tried a foundation brush like this before but when trying to blend this out it was quite streaky and really hard to blend nicely. It left lines and streaks and I had to use my stipple brush over the top to buff it out. The Kat Von D Foundation is a super thick formula so this may be part of the problem but I didn’t enjoy using this brush at all.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this brush but I haven’t gotten rid of it as I will try with other liquid foundations that are a bit less full coverage. It still does work I just couldn’t use it on its own.
This here was one of the very first foundation brushes I purchased when I was still back in high school, I still have it stashed in the back of my draw as a back up. I love it, it seamed to blend my make up really easily and the bristles on the brush didn't hurt my face at all as some that iv tried recently have been a little painful to use. The bristles were easy to wash but i found last time I washed it the bristles in the middle have started to get quite matted so it makes it a little dificult to get all the old name up out. Over all it's a great make up brush especially for the cheep price
