Manicare Microneedle Derma Roller

At first I felt really intimidated by the thought of rolling little needles on my skin but I was also intrigued as a Beauty Therapist had recommended I try it help with a few enlarged pores that I have developed since turning 40.

This Micro-derma Roller is very easy to use and completely painless. I have been using it in addition to my skincare routine every 3 days at night time. In the first 2 weeks I noticed a few minor breakouts with tiny pimples on my chin which is usually my offending part of my face. I think this was my skin getting rid of bacteria at a deeper level and coming to the surface. I initially used Matrixyl as my serum but found this to be a bit strong and tingly on my skin so I switched my serum to Hyaluronic Acid instead. After the switch my skin has settled and the result is evenly hydrated skin with a good plump texture.

I am happy so far with the results and will continue to use until the 3month recommended period of using the device before disposal. After that I am keen to try Derma Rolling at a Beauty Therapy Clinic with a greater length needle to get the full salon effect.

I think this is a great product to start the journey of Micro-needling. I definitely agree that my pore size on my nose, chin and cheeks has reduced in size. My general skin texture is overall very smooth and looks good.

The only downside would be that it's not a more long life device, it would be good if the head could be replaceable after the 3 month time period rather than throw away. That seems a bit wasteful.

All in all, I have enjoyed Micro-needling and look forward to setting aside time to do this as my skincare routine. You really can notice the difference in how the products in your skincare penetrate the skin and start working at a deeper level. If you are sitting on the fence, definitely give this device a shot. It's easy to use and not scary at all!

This derma roller is a microneedling tool, with a 0.3 mm needle length (perfect for beginners), that promises to help boost collagen to achieve firm, plump and radiant skin. One of the parts I really like that came with the this tool is the plastic container it comes in - it is very handy to keep the roller clean.

The roller comes with instructions on how to use, and the process is quite easy and fast. I used it three times a week during the trial, leaving a day in between to allow my skin to heal. The trick is letting the weight of the roller do the work and don't push down. After each use my skin would feel a bit tingly, but it didn't hurt.

After using it, I would apply my face oil or moisturiser. I felt my skin it absorbed the products better after using the derma roller. I am not so sure my skin feels more firm and plump, but it does feel a lot softer and smoother since using the roller. I am unsure if that is because my products have absorbed better, or it is the result of the roller itself, or a mixture of both.

Given it is an easy and quick process, and only three times a week, I will be keeping it as part of my skin routine.

I used no other products apart from a basic cleanser and moisturiser with Hyaluronic when trialing this product.

To prep my skin I double cleansed my face to make sure it was a clean as possible before using the derma roller.

The first week of using this I only did it twice a week to check how my skin would react to it. I then proceeded to use it every other day.

It looks very intimidating and instructions can also be a bit intimidating as well. But a quick search on YouTube manicure has a instructional introductory video that physically shows you how to use properly.

NO pressure is needed when you start using on your skin just let it glide over. Going horizontally, vertically, diagonally on each section of you face.

I found this easy to use once I got over the fear and uncertainty of rolling needles on my face.

By the end of the second week of using I noticed my skin seemed a lot brighter and pores seemed slightly reduced in size.

My skin did not look overly irritated or red from using this product at all as I thought it would. Nor did it hurt or sting.

Now after using for nearly a month I have started to notice the creases in my forehead reduce slightly as well.

The antibacterial/cleansing spray and plastic storage container makes it easy to keep sterilised and clean.

I think this would be an amazing tool for someone with acne scaring or uneven textures On their skin.

I wondered how this wee machine could do everything it states. I followed the directions on the first day, and it was great to have the extra email with more in-depth information sent out by the beauty crew. A nice cleansed skin and rolled the micro needle over my cheeks, chin, neck and forehead. The sensation was of pins and needles all over my skin. For the next few hours there was a funny sensation of numbness and tingling. I noted the fine lines and wrinkles I have to see any difference for the length of the trial. Having been sent the brush cleaner made me feel better about using the roller. I googled a few reviews to see what others thought of the product and to see what was expected of it. I have some sun spots and combination skin - wrinkles and fine lines. All things it is meant to be able to assist. I found the roller easy to use, it was able to be manipulated into the nose area and onto the bridge of my nose. I do not get many blackheads generally but within a week of commencing this roller I had none. It was like it sired the pores out and allowing them to breathe. Using this product also made me stay with a cleansing regime which assisted in my overall complexion improving. I liked the packaging, allowing for the roller to stay protected in its case. The overall look of the packaging was interesting as it had the bumps in the box, giving you an idea of what it’s to do. The instructions were clear and concise, this was assisted with the pictures to show you where to use it and directions to roll it. Overall I had my husband telling me my skin looked lovely, less fine lines and more supple. I looked intently at the results and found the following - less fine lines No blackheads or enlarged pores Wrinkles reduced this I was very impressed by Soft skin Supple skin More youthful appearance- tones and colour Tightened skin - not so baggy around the neck and chin area. Very happy with the results and will look forward to any new changes as I continue to use it

This roller is very light and has a lovely shape that fits easily in the hand. After using it I spray it with antiseptic to sterilise the roller. It comes in a clear plastic box to store when not using that helps to keep it sterile. I was a little nervous about trying this as I thought the needles may hurt, but was pleasantly surprised at how painless it is. I used this twice a week for just over 3 weeks, increasing the amount of rolls per week and have had the most unexpected, brilliant results!! For years I have suffered with broken blood vessels on my cheeks and after the second week of using this, they have nearly disappeared! I had no idea this would help them and can not believe the results! My complexion looks a lot clearer and it's lovely not having red cheeks! I haven't noticed any change in the fine lines on my face but will keep using it and will let you know if this improves. After doing my face, neck and decolletage, I apply my night cream which soaks in so quickly and lovely. I highly recommend this product!

I was highly suspicious of how effective an at home Derma Roller could be. Could it really change my skin? Make it more youthful and glowy looking? Help reduce the look of pores? Work on my cystic acne scar tissue? It turns out my suspicions were unfounded.

Manicare Microneedle Derma Roller was far more effective than I could have hoped for. But first...

It's a lightweight, silver plastic contraption with loads of miniscule needles on a cylinder. I found rolling it over my face did not hurt at all, in fact it felt like someone was lightly tickling my face - which I found weirdly enjoyable.

I started off using it every other night, rolling it three times horizontally/verticallydiagonally. I found after rolling my skin would be red and tingly - like sunburn. I keep my skincare simple, so just used a hydrating moisturiser, and the morning after rolling my skin was plump and glowing.

By the end of the trial I can now roll five times each way every second day, and the roller's really showing the benefits. My skin looks younger. The pores are not so prominent. I've rolled my upper lip area and the deep wrinkles there definitely look better.

At the start of this trial I was unconvinced, but now I'll be raving about this product and buying a new one once the three months are up for sure. I can't wait to see what long term results look like.

In February 2021, my skin clinician advised me to buy Derma roller. I was sceptical of bruising my skin and breakouts. But when I read the BR article about Manicare Microneedle Derma roller, I raised up my hand and was excited to receive it and start using. Manicare Microneedle Derma Roller came 3 weeks ago. It is well packed in the curvy plastic case and the after-use sanitizing is super easy and quickly dries to pack the roller away for next time, which is very important after use step. Over the last 3 weeks I used roughly 3 times a week. The first time i followed the instructions, I was still figuring out the best way of rolling it on my skin in different directions without extra pressure. It becomes hard not to apply pressure while rolling, but you get used to in next few times and start using it exactly how fingertips are rolled (not surely that feeling) on face.

For skin to sink in the benefits of skin care products it is best to use before sleep.I got used to the painless microneedles rolling over my skin at 4th use. I use a regular gel face wash, and starting rolling from my forehead sections, both side temples, both Cheeks, nose sides and top rail, upper lips, chin area and neck area just below my chin. I rolled the Derma Roller side-to-side 2 times, up & down 2 times, diagonally 2 times. I did make sure to cover all areas on each section of my face and neck plus the hyperpigmented areas (areas of concern on my forehead and cheeks) were worked on exclusively. I also exfoliate my skin every week to let the skin care products and derma roller work effectively.

Right after use, I apply my 2 night skin care serums followed by night cream. This allows the needled parts of skin to soak up the serums. I could see a change in my skin 2 weeks ago, with a glow with pigmented areas starting to fade, and my skin feels smoother too. I have scars on my cheeks from breakouts years ago. Along with those changes, using the Manicare Micro needling Derma Roller never caused any redness on my skin. When I woke up every morning from nights of using the roller and even when I did not use it (days when I did not use it, as I used 3 times a week only), my skin felt plumped and cared for.

I love myself and I love taking care of myself. I will continue using the painless derma Roller now for sure. This is a part of my skin care routine 3 times a week. I have recommended this to my sister and few friends who have skin issues. It delivers great results. I will continue using to get more out of this for sure. It is so crazy that the microneedles work at home, if used with care on your skin, same as visiting a professional skin clinic. Saves so much money! Amazing! I found this super easy to use as per the instructions. Sometimes I felt my skin was a tad sensitive the next day. It does take a little time to carefully roll your whole face in all directions as suggested. My skin is feeling great although I havn't noticed a huge change in the size of my pores yet. I will continue to use this long term an think its a great tool to add to any beauty routine.

This was such an epic trial! I was a little anxious about the idea of derma rolling but it was entirely painless and very easy to do.

The derma roller arrived looking far less intimidating than I thought it might. You can’t see rows of needles, they are super small, it looks like slightly raised rows. I tried it on my hand first and felt basically nothing. On my face, it’s hard to explain, it feels like a textured roller, ever so slightly prickly on my forehead where the skin is tighter.

I used the roller once a day at night, three times a week. The routine sounds a little onerous with all of the directional rolling but it really does only take a minute.

I started to see results a week in. My redness definitely reduced and my pores seem smaller. My skin feels and looks smoother. I haven’t noticed a difference yet in my fine lines but I have high hopes with continued use!

I also believe this aided my serum, it absorbed beautifully after using the roller.

It’s so easy to use and feels like you’re doing something really good for your skin, I enjoyed adding it in to my routine.

So affordable in comparison to beauty treatments, and easy to use, you can’t really go wrong!

I received the manicare microneedle derma roller on a trial team (Thanks BR!) and have been trialling it for a few weeks now and i love it! I had previously done a bit of research about derma rollers but had never actually used one so i was super excited to try one as i struggle with acne scars and uneven skin tone. Using the roller for the first time i was nervous it would hurt but it didn't and was very easy to use. I rolled every part of my face 4 times (4 different directions) and then afterwards i used this skin brightening cream i had and a serum. Both of these products i had used but didn't find they done much for my scars in the past but the roller made the products actually absorb into my skin! I had a very dark acne scar above my lip for a few months and after using the roller it has completely disappeared which is super amazing. After every use i sprayed my roller with the isopropyl alcohol spray by manicare to disinfect it. I didn't have a specific routine on when i rolled my face i just done it when i felt like i needed to. I will be continuing to use this derma roller as i think it is amazing. I have young skin so i cant really say how it works for more mature skin but i would highly recommend for hyper pigmentation from an acne scar.
