Tips: Do not buff too aggressively! And don't use too often either as it thins your nails!
I have a new found pamper session thanks to my best friend and it's keeping my nails on point and looking gorgeous with polish. In order for this to happen my nails need to be in the best possible shape so I bought this to help keep them on point. I paid $7.50 for mine so got it for less than RRP which was a score.
I love that it's numbered and the instructions are clear, starting from number one and going on until you reach the fourth. I find that step 1, although I don't want to take off too much nail is far too soft to get anything off in a hurry. It needs to be two levels grittier than it currently is to get anywhere. I do enjoy the other steps because it gives my nails shine and makes them look their best without visiting a salon. I find that I have to use a more abrasive file first and then go on to step 1.
I find step 1 is great for removing left over nail polish that I forgot though as well as the yellow tinge that is left after nail polish is removed. The buffer which is step 4 leaves my nails simply shiny. I am almost waiting for it to sparkle and twinkle like they do in cartoons, it's that shiny.
Using this before hand just makes it so much easier for the nail polish to go on smoothly and have a more satin finish than if I just slop the polish on unbuffed and unshaped nails. Although step 1 doesn't work like it says I still love it and highly recommend.
Tips: If the step 1 isn't abrasive enough for you like it was for me; file first with a normal file and then use it as a second step.
I love these nail bars! They are an amazing product! They are the saviour between manicures, when you want to bring health back to your nails and keep them looking (and feeling) lovely. This product is a four step process which buffs the surface of the nail very gently to remove the bumps and then polishes it up to look very shiny. The effect lasts for days and is a great alternative to using a clear top coat nail polish. Would recommend!
I have a love/hate relationship with my nails. Every few months I become sick of the sight of them, and will get acrylics for 3-4 months, before deciding to go au natural again. By this point, they are worse than before - rough, dull and out of shape. The Manicare 4-Way Nail Buffer is exactly where I start. I have a quick tidy around the edges, before smoothing and shining. The smoothing and shining is really where this $10 product is magical. I have seen no other product that smoothes and shines the natural nail, without the help of a polish or treatment. I smooth off any ridges and then shine, shine, shine. To be honest, I often do follow with a nail hardener that adds extra shine, but if the condition of your nails isn't so terrible, you certainly wouldn't need to. I finish with a lovely hand cream and my hands look like they've had a trip to the salon.
If you are wanting some at-home manicure goodness, this is the perfect product to add into your routine. This is also great for anyone in a job where they can't wear nail polish, or for those who don't want to fuss around with their nails as it gives a quick, clean, natural finish.
Tips: Add this into your manicure routine.
i have collected many of these over the years, get used by all the females and often the males in my house. great for strengthening your nails and making them so smooth and shiny. great to use before applying nail polish
I invested in one of these after I had my acrylic nails off to go back to natural nails. My nails were in terrible condition so I followed the steps no 1 green file nail which it did then step 2 purple remove ridges yip did that and I had plenty. Step 3 white buff & smooth and yes I am impressed so far. Step 4 grey polish & shine wow my nails look really shiny. This is so easy to use and you get professional looking nails it only takes 5 minutes and your done great looking nails
Tips: I use a clear polish to keep my nails looking good an natural
This great tool does it all. One of the great features is it tells you on each side exactly what it is for, too easy. I love the fact that the emery side is not too harsh and it dosent leave your nails rough. My favourite part is the buffer. When I dont use nail polish I always buff and my nails are left super shiny and looking healthy. A good value all round nail tool.
The Manicare Nail Buffer 4-way is a whole manicure in one tool pretty much.
It has a step by step process which I think is really useful for knowing you really have done your nails in the right order or if you're a manicure novice.
The side I was least fond of was the emery board because I prefer a smaller emery board that can get around the nail a bit more. Other than that I found all the sides really good and they certainly did what they claimed to do. After using this tool my nails looked and felt shiny and revitalised.
If you don't want looks of different nail tools hanging around this is the perfect tool for you.
This reminds me of the woodwork workshop back at school, where you would start filing the edges roughly and then smooth it slowly my using softer sand paper :-P
It works amazing! First I use it to shape my nails then to smooth them step by step. And unlike other flies which leave your nails white of the edges, this gives a really nice look and feel. I use it at least every week and I always have it handy in my bag just in-case my nail breaks during the day.
I love this, it is easy to use and the words on each side make it easy to remember which side you want for what.
I like that the 'flie' side is not too coarse and still effective.
It buffs my nails up super smooth and shiny... it's great!
