I really like this buffer. The shape makes it easy to hold and use. The numbered sides mean you don't need to try and remember which colour is next. For a reasonably cheap product it does a really good job at leaving nails smooth and shiny and well primed for painting. Only down side is the first two sides don't last quite as long as the 3rd and 4th.

The file side of the 4-way buffer is very subtle and I found the emery board wore away very quickly... so this product is not the best for the file. The other 3 sides however work really really well. I use this every time I do a manicure. The sides are numbered so you know what order to use them. This product is very good for smoothing nails. My nails peel and this product smooths them over ready for painting.
Tips: Dont reply on this product for the file - you will need to purchase a separate emery board.
I have a new found pamper session thanks to my best friend and it's keeping my nails on point and looking gorgeous with polish. In order for this to happen my nails need to be in the best possible shape so I bought this to help keep them on point. I paid $7.50 for mine so got it for less than RRP which was a score.
I love that it's numbered and the instructions are clear, starting from number one and going on until you reach the fourth. I find that step 1, although I don't want to take off too much nail is far too soft to get anything off in a hurry. It needs to be two levels grittier than it currently is to get anywhere. I do enjoy the other steps because it gives my nails shine and makes them look their best without visiting a salon. I find that I have to use a more abrasive file first and then go on to step 1.
I find step 1 is great for removing left over nail polish that I forgot though as well as the yellow tinge that is left after nail polish is removed. The buffer which is step 4 leaves my nails simply shiny. I am almost waiting for it to sparkle and twinkle like they do in cartoons, it's that shiny.
Using this before hand just makes it so much easier for the nail polish to go on smoothly and have a more satin finish than if I just slop the polish on unbuffed and unshaped nails. Although step 1 doesn't work like it says I still love it and highly recommend.
Tips: If the step 1 isn't abrasive enough for you like it was for me; file first with a normal file and then use it as a second step.
I remember the first time I discovered a nail buffer I was impressed that there was a tool that could give me healthy shiny, looking nails without wearing polish or a base coat. This is a handy and affordable nail buffer to have and even has a nail file for in case you need one in emergencies and can't find your emery board. I say in case of emergencies because that side wears really fast and if like me, you like to slip the emery board under your nail and file at an angle this buffer is too thick to do that. I would say the other sides last longer and help you achieve a squeaky shine with your nails that makes them look healthy and manicured without polish. This buffer isn't too expensive which makes it affordable to replace. I think that I could get more use if the green size in instead was replaced with another purple side. But it's not a bad product and very handy to have.
Tips: Works best if you wipe off all the nail dust off all the sides with the exception of the green side and store in a dry place.
Due to my pure laziness, i usually use the simple nail clipper with a built-in nail filer for my nails. However, one day i was attracted by the colour and unique look of this nail buffer, so I decided to bring one home.
I think this nail buffer would make a great gift to include in a nail hamper. The block contains a nail file, a nail ridge remover, a buffer and a side for nail shine; 4-in-1.
A disadvantage of this product is that you can really see the sides beginning to wear off straight after your first use... which makes it look a little worn out, and the boards felt quite soft and delicate (apart from the file), so i wasn’t actually sure if it was going to work, or whether i was using it right.
However, after applying my usual clear nail growth treatment, i could clearly see a difference. My nails looked a lot smoother, shinier, and a lot healthier than before buffing.
For time-saving purposes, i still prefer to use my nail clipper with the built-in filer, as it’s more time efficient for when you’re always out on-the-go, but will definitely try to incorporate using the other sides of the buffer into my nail care routine when i need healthier looking nails (which probably only happens once in a few months- due to my slow-growing and short-lasting nails).
Recommended for anyone who loves or needs a little extra care for their nails, and doesn’t mind spending a little more time on it.
I love that this buffer is 4 in one, including the side for shaping, rather than the standard 3 way buffer. Great little size making it much easier to handle than one of the longer buffers, and love the shiny, buffed nail look. Classy and polished :)
Tips: Careful not to over-buff as this can thin and weaken the nail.
This buffer is really solid in the hand and easy to use with the coloured sides also having the order of use printed on them so you know which side to use next. It leaves your nails smooth and shiny and ready to be painted. The only downside I found with this buffer was that the sides wore down quite quickly although purchasing a new one is easy as they can be found almost everywhere.
Tips: Putting a cuticle oil on your nails before buffing helps to keep your nails moisturised as well as helping the buffer work quicker.
I always use this little tool for my home mani/pedi's. It's a great one stop shop, leaves your nails smooth and with no jaggard edges after cutting.
My only note is that i find the actual file part not that strong so i prefer to use a glass file to get a good shape and then use this for the buffing and finishing. So it works as a great team to a stronger file
Tips: Pop in your handbag for those nail-breaking emergencies, because there's nothing worse than having a rough jaggard broken nail catching on everything for the rest of the day at work!
It reminds me of those people who stand in the malls selling that nail drop stuff then they use their "special " buffer on their 'special oil' on your nails. This does the same thing without the drops for a much cheaper price. I love this tool!
Tips: Put some bio oil on your nails then use the buffer to buff it in for extra shine and nourishment.
Great product which buffs nails so that they are naturally shiny! Unfortunately it doesn't last very long. I became a bit obsessed with buffing my nails and the block wore out within using it 10 times
Tips: Be gentle with the buffer as it is more fragile then you think.
