I have combination skin and suffer from very stubborn blackheads around my nose, along with visible pores in my T-zone area. I've been a user of pore strips in the past, along with various spa treatments, but I've never used anything like the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum before so I was excited to see what it could do. The vacuum itself has 3 suction level intensities – soft, normal and strong and it also comes with 4 different heads that can be interchanged – small circular, oval, large circular, and a microdermabrasion nozzle. I used all 4 of the nozzles and found them to be easy to interchange, and the availability of different suction intensities was great as I used different settings on my forehead and nose. The oval nozzle was my favourite attachment, as was the easiest to get in and around my nose where most of my blackheads are. The vacuum itself is charged with a USB charging cord, which easily plugged into my phone charger, and operating it was simple and easy with a push of the button to switch between intensities. I charged the device for the recommended 3 hours before my first use. There is also an app that can be downloaded and connected to the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum, with pretty good camera quality. The device doesn’t come with a storage bag or pouch – so I will continue to store it in the plastic tray it came with. My skin felt less congested after use, and there was visible ‘gunk’ in the nozzle too, which was really pleasing to see. I made sure I had clean and hydrated skin before use and believe this gave me better results, and I was also conscious of keeping the device moving rather than stay in one spot for too long and risk pink or bruised skin. This is an easy-to-use compact device designed for anyone wanting to minimise the appearance of blackheads, and while it is a fun to use and does give some results, it didn’t remove all my stubborn nose blackheads. I will continue to use the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum, and hope I continue to see improvements in my skin.

Tips: Start on the lowest setting, and keep the Vacuum moving to ensure you don't bruise your skin. Prepare for some downtime afterwards too, as I found my skin was a little pink following treatment.
This actually works! I really loved this and will 100% continue to use it. It was super easy to get started and use after charging. Would definitely recommend using the app it’s so interesting to see actually how congested you are. I couldn’t get the app to work on my iPhone for some reason but I grabbed my partners Samsung and it worked perfectly. I prefer to use the oval head I feel like it worked better for me to unclog. The microdermabrasion head is also great, just the exfoliating head left my nose super smooth. This has left my nose so smooth and I even got my partner using it which is unheard of! Would recommend this so much more than any blackhead strip I’ve ever used.
Tips: Use after cleansing in the shower. Ensure to not stop for too long in a single spot to avoid getting red/marking. It’s a bit tricky to clean the heads out with just water what I found works best was using warm water with a cotton tip.
I must admit when I first got this item I wasn't expecting much. Usually theese devices over promise and under deliver on what they do, but boy was 8 pleasantly surprised!
The set up is super easy. Download the app while the device has its first charge. Simple. The QR code didnt send me to the app directly but if you type in the brand name into the app store it pops up first time. Once its charged you turn it on and connect via wifi and its connected. (That actually sounds alot harder than it is)
From then on its party time. A good hot shower or steam realy loosens up blockages and the camera is so clear once its turned on. I honestly thought there wasn't much in my skin but I was dead wrong and it was super satisfying watching all the blockages burst out of where they were hiding.
The suction is soo good. And very strong! Make sure you keep moving so you dont accidentally give yourself a little bruise. All the attachment heads worked well but my favorite by far was the oval one. That and a low suction setting turned out to be my favorite combination!
This thing actually works! And the app allows you to record what's happening if you want to have a look later on or your an up and coming pimple popping youtube creator!
Clean up is also super easy. I just cleaned of debris with a tissue and cotton swabs and spirits with isopropyl.
I am so amazed and happy with this product and I have already raved about it to so many people!!! Complete 10/10 for me.
Tips: Steam and soften skin. Make sure for best results you do this step first and if you have cotton swabs handy it makes clean up easy.
I have used the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum a couple of times over the past week and have been pleasantly surprised with the results. It was easy to download the app onto my Samsung through the play store and then log in via wifi settings. I had a quick look on the website for tips before using and made sure I had opened my pores by having a shower the first time and then a steam basin the second. The camera enables you to see where any blackheads or clogged pores are and you can see the blockages literally sucked from them! I had about a 4 day gap between using it and the difference the second time was noticeable with not as many blockages. There are 3 suction settings, I started with the lowest when I first tried it to get used to it, then moved to the strongest suction as I got used to it. My teenage daughter also used (with my supervision) and she was impressed as well. My skin was noticeably smoother as well after using the microdermabrasion tool, there are different sized nozzles depending on where you want to use it on your face. The smaller oval one was great for small areas around the nose, lips.
Tips: * Make sure you have opened your pores prior to using - e.g., shower, steam basin etc. * Download the app before using so you can see where the blockages are with the HD camera. * Don't stay in one spot for more than 3 seconds and don't go over the same area more than 3 times or you may bruise, leave a red mark. * Use the smaller nozzle for your T-zone area. * Clean the nozzles with a cotton bud to get rid of any gunk that gets removed at the tip. * Use a cold compress after use to reduce any redness. * Don't rush when using.
Pros: Looks sleek & modern Excellent camera 4 different tips Battery lasts ages
Cons: Handle is slick, making it easy to drop Uses/has it's own wifi (should be Bluetooth) Pulls gunk up but not necessarily OUT
Careful with this device. It can be addictive just looking at the 'icky-ness' of your skin as you don't have to have the suction going. That being said, I highly recommend avoiding the strong suction as 2 friends used it at that setting and they both ended up with redness that didn't go away for 2 days. Best used after a shower with freshly cleaned skin. Don't linger, always keep the device moving while suction is on. Keep in mind the vacuum may not necessarily pull out all gunk, in that case do NOT go over the gunk again and again - just pull it out carefully with a pair of tweezers.
I was so thrilled so be picked to trial and review the manicare pore vacuum!. The HD camera was incredible, and being able to see your skin up close like that while using a tool like this was fantastic. I have teenage sons whom also gave the pore vacuum a go and it quickly and efficiently dealt with spots- my only recommendation however would be the inclusion of a cleansing brush for easily cleaning the attachments after each use. My favorite attachment was the microdermabrasion tool- the areas around my t zone are looking much clearer and feeling smoother. I have have noticed a significant difference in the pores on and around my nose- this tool has now become part of my weekly skin routine, however for my boys- they've each downloaded the app and have grabbed it a couple of times already to deal with spots!!
Tips: -You mustn't stay in the same area or you will end up with face hickies!!!
First off let me start by saying this product was amazing but damn it was CONFRONTING! Seeing my skin at 10x magnified zoom via the handy little app on my phone was very real and I dont think i was ready for it hahaha! The packaging was great and full of clear and straight forward instructions and really great helpful tips for use, unfortunately though what it didn't give directions for was how to clean and maintain the product. Doesn't say if its safe to rinse it in water to clean and the best way to clean the camera to maintain its longevity. The app was super easy to find on the app store and theres a QR code on the side of the box for even easier access. It was super easy to use and connect to. The product itself was good, it had quite a bit of suction and a variety of different heads for different desired results. It missed quite a few spots on my face and when i went back over to suck that gross stuff out I found my skin slightly bruised. It did suck out alot of gunk though and it was satisfying watching it on the camera afterwards as the app gives you the option of taking videos and photos. I'm usually really grossed out by this sort of thing but found it fascinating on my skin!! Overall the product was great and I've already recommended it to family and friends and will definitely use it on the regular but will be very careful to take it easy next time and only go over my face once instead of doubling back. Thank yo Beauty Review and Manicare for this opportunity! :-)
Tips: Calm that red face down afterwards with a cold face cloth or ice pack
The Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum - I’d seen this online, and was keen to try it.
Out of the box, it’s a quality product, well made, balanced, and easy to use. That ease of use is both in the handling - as in, using it for facial care - and technically, as in connecting to your phone.
The nozzle selection is good, they’re easy to clean, and effective - you do have to test a couple out, and see which works best.
The image on your phone is genuinely helpful - you can see problems up close, and know when to move on. On that note, you’re either someone who loves watching pores being cleared, or you’re not…I’m in the former camp, so it’s quite satisfying watching pores being cleaned. You can record video, so you could start your own YouTube channel for people who like watching oozing pores (joking). On a serious note, the camera is a great feature for checking parts of your body you can’t easily see. For instance, I could finally check my back and even deal to a pimple.
I think the skin vacuum works well - it’s quick to use, and seems to be effective. Some parts of my skin that have always had problems have improved, and it feels smoother. This is definitely part of my skincare toolset.
Tips: Tips: You need to start out with the most sensitive tip and lowest power setting - there’s a lot of power in this device, and I found I mostly used ‘soft’. Moving the vacuum is essential - you don’t want to just sit in one spot, but the app prompts you if the vacuum isn’t moving enough.
What a cool little sucker! Loved the camera and being able to see my skin up close and what gunk was coming out of it! It also showed dry patches so I’m definitely going to up the ante on my moisturising regime!!!
Now in terms of the tool itself, the suction was incredible! I did manage to give myself a mini-hickey on my chin by holding it in place for too long, so pay attention to the instructions and keep it moving! And select the strength you need for your skin or the area you’re working on.
It doesn’t hurt at all, although I didn’t get a chance to use the dermabrasion tool as my skin is recovering from my first ever allergic reaction (to a cleanser). I did try all strengths and recommend starting light and working up to the strongest suction. I was sceptical about it being able to draw out blackheads, but it absolutely does! One thing I found tricky was maintaining the suction around curves, but this gets easier with practice, you just need to pay attention and I found it easier in front of the mirror.
The tool left my skin feeling nice and clear, just like after using a pore strip. I used a toner afterwards and my skin felt nice and smooth the next day. At first I thought it was pretty expensive, but if you use pore strips regularly (or would like to!) this is worth the investment and soon pays for itself.
Tips: Follow all the instructions - especially the one about not staying in one spot for too long to avoid bruising!
I have used the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum 3 times over the week long trial period. My nose has always had congested pore and blackheads, so I was keen to see improvement in this area. Setting up the technology side of things was easy...even for a 50 plus tech amateur. Easy to find and load app via Google play onto my Samsung phone. Popped the hand piece on charge and then got into it. Pairing the hand piece and phone was a little confusing....you must have the handpiece switched on and then the Manicare interface will pop up on your broadband selector on your phone...you may need to turn WiFi off and then on to see it come up. I tried the soft and normal suction first then upped the suction to the maximum. Wow sucky!! But I was still able to keep the hand piece moving over my nose...it is suggested and the piece automatically reminds you, not to stay in one spot more than 3 seconds, or else you will get a small vacuum hicky (remember those in the teenage years?). It was tricky getting around the side of my nose, and the oval nozzle came in handy here. The micordermabrasion nozzle worked well for an area of rough skin. While you don't see the pores immediately clear with the suction, the gunge is certainly brought to the surface and you can clear this residue with application of toner (not supplied) after. Certainly the process was more fruitful on a hot day versus a cold day.....even when I had pre washed with warm water. It was super scarey to see my nose looked like a strawberry on my phone 10x magnification. But I can definitely say that after 3 uses, the effect was less and my skin was smoother and clearer. I did notice the handpiece heated up in my hand, but not to the extreme. A privilege to be able to trial the Manicare Salon Magnifying Pore Vacuum, as I would never purchase, for fair of wasting money, but I hope this review gives others confidence to do so.
Tips: Do keep moving as instructed. It will cause bruising if you don't. Also don't use on open wounds, sunburn or broken skin and if you have sensitive skin, go soft with suction. Super funny when the suction gives as you glide and you find the handpiece has jumped to you lip. Don't panic when using the device....if you follow instructions you'll be fine.
