Wow! After the first use I felt an improvement in my skin texture it provided a much deeper clean than purely using my hands and I felt my face felt so healthy after as I said one use! As a couple weeks went by my skin was actually clearing up a lot quicker than when I just apply cleanser with my hands. Because your hands are covered in dirt from your day I found it much more sanitary to use a brush for a better clean. The vibration settings helped your cleanser penetrate the skin deeper which helped my skin clear up.

Tips: Would probably use the faster vibration and only for a minute as my face started to tingle after that.
The design: I love the baby pink colour! The size is great, fits easily into my hand and doesn't take up a huge amount of room in the shower, also fantastic to take away.USB charge is great, easy to charge. It's quiet in operation and lightweight. This brush has a five hour charge when fully charged which is pretty impressive. I thought the bristles on the brush may have been a bit soft but they are actually just right. They left my skin feeling great and soft. I felt it cleaned my skin well, I used a foam cleanser in the shower. I tried using the brush with cleanser directly on the brush and on my face. Both ways worked well, a personal preference really. Manicare recommend that you use it for a minute both morning and night. The only con of the brush would be that a automatic shut off after the minute would be helpful. I would definitely recommend this brush and they say that you can buy a massage and exfoliating heads as extras which would be good to try. I will continue to use this great little but powerful brush, I can only see my skin getting better with continued use.
Should start by saying only been using it for two weeks. Initially I was sceptical that the product could make a difference in such a short time but it definitely has. I think my skin is more glowy, I guess as it’s taking off dead skin or the blood flow is stimulated by the buzzing? I think I have less blocked pores on my nose too. Its been easy to use the product and I like that they provided a stand to put it in while the brush dries. Downside: I wasn’t sure how much I should move it round at first and there wasn’t any instructions on that part of how to use it. Also as it only comes with a USB cable not a charger that isn’t ideal. I’ll keep using it after the trial though and will look out for the other two products in the range as I’d like to see what they’re like.
Tips: I’ve been using mine moving it in little circles in the patterns in the instructions- from the centre of my face across forehead, down nose and across checks.
This is the first time I’ve used a electronic face cleansing brush, and it did not disappoint. The brush is soft, cute in pink, compact in size, quiet when in use and easy to use just push a button to turn on and once more for more speed. I used it with a charcoal face scrub, only needed a small amount. It made my skin feel very soft after use. And with a toner and moisturiser afterwards my skin was silky smooth. The fact that it can be used in the shower is a big plus for me, makes using it much easier and user friendly. It plugs in via USB so can charge easily. I’ve been using mine a week twice daily and haven’t had to recharge yet. I will be buying more brushes for it in the future.
Tips: Buy a few brushes could be a family shared product.
I was excited to be chosen to trail the Sonic Mini. This arrived in a cute package with a pink bow to show case the facial cleansing brush. Charging was quick and instructions easy to follow. Clip on the head and activate by pressing the power button 1-2 times to increase speed. Replacement heads are sold separately if needed. Recommendation was to use 2x daily which I thought was too much. Water resistant, light weight and quiet, the cleaning aspect actually worked well. I applied cleanser to the brush and then directly to wet skin. The head cleaned easily with soap after use. Fun to use, this would make a great gift however I personally wouldn’t buy it as at $59.99 a little expensive.
Tips: Fully charge before use.
When I was a teenager who was trying desperately to conquer the mountainous terrain that was my face, I often used a facial cleansing brush. I remember exactly the stinging, roughed-up feeling that the rather stiff bristles used to leave on my poor red cheeks. Thankfully, using the Sonic Mini was nothing like those bad old days.
First of all, I love the design. The half-sphere shape sits neatly in your palm and the soft, matte pink is stylish enough to leave out in your bathroom, not tucked away in the back of a draw! The bristles of the brush are flexible and almost rubbery they're that gentle.
I have quite sensitive skin and I don't use a cleanser in the morning so I used this just at night for a minute or so. I could see from the brush that it was working to take off my sunscreen and makeup. Obviously, it's not suitable for removing eye makeup but it left my face feeling clean and fresh, without being scrubbed. I also use a cream cleanser, not a foaming one, and it did the job just fine. I imagine getting up a good lather with the brush would be more fun though!
I played around with both settings and I preferred the more vigorous one. I don't think the 'sonic vibrations' make much of a difference at all on the lower setting. I'd love to try the massage attachment that can be purchased separately. I imagine those settings would be more beneficial there, than with the cleansing brush.
The charge has held all week and I liked that it came with just a USB cord instead of a full power unit, so you're not having store yet another plug!
Tips: Depending on your skin type I'd recommend easing into this one! Try once a day and then move onto twice if your skin enjoys it and you feel it's necessary.
My only experience with other facial brushes is the Olay Regenerist so will compare to that as I would consider them in the same price range and level.
Cute and fits nicely in my hand. I love that this is rechargeable via USB so no need to purchase additional batteries. First time using I’d lather my face with face wash and use the brush to lather it up. Good speed and pressure. I found the bristles far more gentler than Olay. Face felt really clean and supple after use.
This is a great alternative if you want a cheap but reliable face brush. It doesn’t have many options for speed or pressure like the fancy ones but I guess this does the job for a basic brush. Good if you want to trial whether facial brushing is for you.
I’ll use this daily and it’s quick and easy. I have good skin so this works for me. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade but I’m more than happy with this for now.
I remember the first time i used this and right after touching my face i noticed immediately how much smoother it was. From the first time using it i could tell that it did have a deeper clean on my skin. After wearing foundation for the day, i would see that the foam on the brush would wash off extra foundation that my reuseable makeup wipe + hot shower hadnt taken off, which i didnt even realise was still on.
I have sensitive, oily acne prone skin so i was interested to see if it would help my acne without being too sensitive. Over time i noticed that my pores werent as filled as they usually were, and it did help with my acne (not completely though, but that is probably due to my cleanser). The brush has two settings, low and high, and i found that the high setting was too harsh on my face if i used it twice daily so i mostly used the low setting. I did find though (particurarly on the high setting) if it got anywhere near my undereyes, they immediately flared up. In the manual it did say to avoid the eye area, but even brushing over it once or twice made my undereyes get extremely sensitive and scab a bit. It mostly did this on the outer corner of my eye, and right under the middle of my eyebrows. I also found my skin wasnt getting as oily as it usually does. Before using this product (used the same cleanser) i found that by the afternoon my skin would start to get oily and shiny, but i havent faced this problem yet at all, as my face stays dry for the whole day.
My main negative to the product is that its very hard to dry. The instructions say to wipe it down then leave it in a dry place which I do every day, but i find when im picking up the brush, the bristles are still very wet.
Tips: Be very careful when cleaning near the eye area, and be prepared for it not to dry properly.
I received this product as part of a trial team review.
Manicare Sonic Mini is a facial cleansing brush that uses “sonic vibrations” to purify the skin. The device is a half sphere shape that is baby pink in colour and has a soft silicone casing. It comes with a sensitive bristle brush head and a designated USB charging cable. There are also additional heads that can be purchased separately, including a massaging head for use with creams etc.
The instructions state to charge before first use, which I did using the included cable. It is a USB cable which you can plug into a computer/laptop or a wall charger. The end that plugs into the device is a special pin shaped jack so don’t lose the cable! The device took about 1.5-2 hours to fully charge as indicated by the red LED on the power button.
After clicking on the brush head the device is ready to use. It has two power settings - gentle and normal, and you can cycle through them by pressing the power button. Please note the brush head does not spin, it just vibrates.
I started on the gentle setting and used it with a cream cleanser. I found it easy to use, the device fit nicely in my hand and the brush was easy to manoeuvre over my face. The vibration felt relaxing and the bristles did not feel irritating on my slightly sensitive skin. The device has a 5 minute auto shutoff and does not have a zone timer like some other sonic face brushes.
After use my skin felt soft and clean. I felt like the brush helped my cleanser go further. The brush head was easy to rinse off and the included brush cap has plenty of ventilation holes to allow the brush to dry.
The instructions say to use this device morning and night, but I find this might be too much for most skin types. I have been using it most evenings or when I feel my skin needs a deeper clean, e.g. after wearing makeup. I have also used it in the shower which was just as easy as using it over the sink, but it has slipped out of my hand once due to the shape and smoothness.
Overall I feel that this device is nice to have but definitely not necessary. It does little more than a manual face brush in terms of cleansing, but I think the massaging head will be beneficial and soothing - it’s a shame you have to purchase it separately.
Tips: Rinse the brush thoroughly after each use and make sure no water gets under the brush head as this is where the charging port is.
I don’t think it’s necessary to use twice a day as thrust may be too harsh on the skin.
The packaging is nice and simple - you know exactly what you're getting.
The product design is so clever - the brush head removes and the charger port is under there. So when the brush is affixed it's a water tight unit you can use in the shower! The charger cable is of a nice quality and it fits firmly in the port on the brush unit. It doesn't take long to charge.
The shape of the unit is a revelation to those of us who have used different brushes or cleansing units before. It fits snugly in the palm of your hand and feels like an extension of your hand.
The brush head is, like the rest of the unit, of high quality, the bristles are soft, but don't feel weak. They're gentle on the face.
I've been using this about a week, and I just love it. I'm using it with an Oxygen Creme Cleanser, and I feel like I'm getting cleansing benefits and exfoliation too.
All up - I just can't fault this brush. I'll be picking one up as a Christmas present for my sister for sure!
