Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel Review

I bought this because of all the raving reviews! But I have to say, it is not a very good cleanser. It did not remove my makeup, especially my mascara. Even if I cleansed twice, I was still left with panda eyes and foundation in patches. I don't use very tough makeup, just good old maybelline and no waterproof formulas. Anyways, other cleansers usually remove makeup well, but this just doesn't. So it doesn't actually give you a good cleanse!

I also have dry skin, so don't recommend this for dry skin types. Leaves you feeling dried out after cleansing.

i got this in a gift set that i desperately wanted but it was sold out online, but luckily i have that lovely Trudi in my life, and she went and got for me in store and posted it down. with snacks!!!

it smelled fresh and was refreshing to use. i really liked that. it perked me up in the morning and made my skin go heellloooo. it was a really nice thick consistency, and i only needed a small amount for full face washing coverage as it spread out like whipped butter.

i also liked how my face felt in the shower after washing - it wasn't dried out or anything, and there was only a slight film left on my face (which i happen to like). so thats definitely a win in my book.

to be honest i didn't notice it clearing up or stopping blackheads, but it was still nice. i never tried it as a makeup remover and i probably wouldn't, either, as i have other products that are better suited. but as a face wash it was good.

i probably (definitely) wouldn't repurchase as i think this is quite over hyped and i honestly get better products at the supermarket, but perhaps that's just my opinion. so, lovely, but not lovely enough!

This cleanser is ok. I picked up a bottle to try. It’s lasting really well so I think it’s good value for money. I like the packaging, the little flip nozzle is easy to use and doesn’t clog. The scent is relatively inoffensive, if I’m honest it’s not my favourite. The cleanser is gentle and effective. You don’t need to use much, it massages on nicely and rinses off easily. It doesn’t over dry my skin. I tend to use this in the morning or as a second cleanse after I’ve removed my makeup. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase this when the bottle eventually runs out.

I'm a fan of this cleanser, and tend to use this in the morning. It's very gentle, smells lovely, and is a gel based cleanser so no suds. You need a very tiny amount and then you just rub it gently into your skin and then rinse. Skin feels clean and refreshed without feeling dry. Skin also looks brighter with continued use.

If using it to remove makeup, I'd recommend that you use their makeup remover first and then use this cleanser. It does remove makeup but you'd have to double cleanse with this product - and its not great at removing waterproof mascara.

Great value for money - it's lasts forever! Simple packaging, a lovely scent, and I love how it leaves my skin. It's a keeper in my regime.

I bought this cleanser after comparing and reading reviews for all of Mario Badescu's cleaning range.... and I'm so glad I did. I have suffered a number of skin conditions from acne, to peri-oral dermatitis to bacterial infections in the past few years and it's nice to find a product that is gentle on my sensitive skin. I love that every time I was my face in the morning I feel and look fresher than if I hadn't. It's a great price for what you get and I will definitely be buying it again. I have been using the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Face cream for over a year now and that is another one of my faves. The two products go hand in hand.

I brought this off Beauty Bay (I can't remember how much) and \i am so glad I did! This gets off my daily make up and does not leave a trace of it. My skin feels so clean after using it and does not feel drying at all. A lot of cleansers I try make me feel a bit dry after I use them, but not this one. My pores look a lot smaller, which is probably helped by the fact that I am using other mario badescu products. I actually like the fact that it doesn't foam up when using it. It feels like a nice rich cream. It has a faint smell, but nothing over powering. This is a 10 out of 10 product for me and something I am definitely going to repurchase. (I should mention I have combination skin and have noticed my oily zones are a lot more controlled and hasn't caused any drying)

I has this in a travel size which as a pourer type spout dispenser. Although small in size it has alot of product being a 2oz bottle. It has green slime appearance within its clear bottle. A simple sticker around the bottle which has Mario Beduschea skincare information on it & his labeling logo at the front. The product comes put as it looks slimey but don't let that put you off. It isn't a foaming wash so there isn't any foaming on dispensing. As you apply it to your skin a scent is apparent. A fresh fruity scent of which I can't distinguish & having some on my lips has led to me tasting it & I admit it doesn't taste bad at all. You know it doesn't seem chemically or awful that your left gagging from the mistake of doing so & trying to get rid of the rancid taste that's left behind. This product doesn't sting my skin and/or strip it is of its natural pH. Instead it feels revitalizing to te skin as f it regulates your skins condition.

The results from use. Regulates my skins condition,remove dirt,debris & makeup. Cleans pores & reduces the size. Non stripping , non foaming. So happy that I got this as a gift I'm now going to purchase this in a full size once I'm finished because this travel size has lasted 2 months.

i absolutely love this product, I pair it with the Mario Badescu acne face wash and their drying lotion, i use evry day at night after the acne wash and it smooths out my skin, adds some hydration in there and smells amazing, 10/10 would recommend, i have severe acne and it keeps it calm and controlled

This cleanser is lovely, it gives my skin a thorough clean without stripping it of all it's moisture. I'm in my mid 30s, I have oily skin that is prone to nasty breakouts and this is gorgeous on my skin. I find some acne cleansers are too harsh and strip my skin making it dull and rough. This cleanser leaves it smooth and plump but well cleansed. I also found that over time my skin texture improved as well as keeping the breakouts to a minimum. Highly recommend.

I purchased this product yesterday from Mecca and I have used it twice so far. The gel feels really nice on my skin and takes away my makeup easily. I have rosacea and this is nice and gentle. I would buy this again!
