Max Factor isn’t a brand I would normally buy. It does remind me of my grandma who loved the brand and I do feel it is targeted more to that age group. I received one of these lipsticks though in a beauty box. Whilst it wore well and it was nice and moisturising, it had a very pearly finish. Again, I felt this put it in the grandma category, as did its scent and taste. Whilst this wasn’t a bad lipstick as such, it’s not for me so I wouldn’t go out and buy one for myself.

I hadn't used any Max Factor products before receiving this little beauty in the March BRBB. I remember doing the survey and I selected pinks at first..then thought no try something different and go for red. I am so glad I did, I didn't even know I could wear red. Anyway I love it. I got a beautiful bright red - Ruby Tuesday 715
You do have to be careful about applying(use a pencil first) as this does stain a bit and fast too.
I was really impressed though I wore this to work and only had to reapply after lunch.I didn't get that icky look of lippy wearing off even after eating. I was told it looked great all day.
It is a lovely creamy formula and has a matt finish. And the packaging is beautiful. I don't think you can go wrong with this
I was lucky enough to try Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in Angel Pink 610.
I love the classy packaging. Max Factor Elixir Lipstick comes in a sturdy, elegant gold tube. I like you can see the shade of colour at the base.
The lid is easy to open and the lipstick is embossed with the Max Factor Trademark "X". Max Factor Elixir Lipstick Angel Pink is a lovely, delicate shade of frosted pink. What you see in the tube is what you get on your lips.
Max Factor Elixir Lipstick applies smoothly and has a slight shimmer. The lipstick feels light on my lips and is not drying. In fact if my lips are on the dry side before applying Max Factor Elixir Lipstick, luckily it isn't attracted like a magnet to the dry bits.
I do need to reapply often as I am terrible at licking my lips and I drink a lot of water etc throughout the day.
I am very keen to try Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in other shades.
The Max Factor Elixir Lipstick is a good lipstick for when you're on the go and need to pop something on that will look good with whatever you're wearing. I find most of the shades from this range pretty versatile, and they wear well throughout the day with minimal feathering or fading. I personally prefer lipsticks with a slightly different finish to these — I'm not a huge fan of the pearlescent look. I also hate that Max Factor still tests on animals, so I'm not going to repurchase based on that too.
