I love pinks and corals. So, when I saw The Max Factor Color Elixir Lipstick in Bewitching Coral in the March Beauty Box, I was extremely excited. Also, because I hadn't tried the Max Factor brand before.
Bewitching Coral is a very lovely vivid bright pink shade with a hint of coral in it. It is almost a fuchsia shade but with a hint of coral. I like the way how it instantly brightens my face. The lipstick is very highly pigmented. One swipe will show enough color on the lips. I really liked the pigmentation in the lipstick, but if you prefer sheer or less opaque shades, you can apply little of the lipstick with the lip brush and top it off with a lip gloss. It applies creamy and smoothly. I liked the creme formula of the lipstick and I loved the pigmentation and the lasting power. It lasts a really long time on the lips (8 hours and I could still see the pretty lip stain).
It smells good. It does have a slight vanilla scent to it which I find very pleasant. This lipstick comes in a glossy gold body. with the color represented at the bottom of the lipstick with a transparent covering. The shade reflected at the bottom is exactly the shade of the lipstick.
It doesn't settle into fine lines or accentuate dryness on my lips. I feel its very light on my lips. There is no prominent shimmer in it, but since its a creamy lipstick , it does add a little bit of shine and does not sit flat on the lips. I would be purchasing other shades from this range as I loved their pigmentation and the lasting power.
So I was lucky enough to receive the lipstick in the March beauty box in the colour pomegranate which is a bright pink colour I love that we get a surprise and we are pushed out of our comfort zone to try new things and experiment with new colours. So I tried it and it is just a tad too bright I don't think I suit bright colours with my little thin lips however I loved the creamy texture and feel of this on my lips so I went and brought one in a lighter shade called flushed fuchsia!
The casing is square shape with a gold lid and the bit at the bottom is the colour of the lipstick. The flushed fuchsia is a peach colour it's quite shimmery and almost like a bit of a gloss. I live with these lipsticks the trademark Max Factor X is embossed on the actual lipstick which is pretty cool. It lasts a couple of hours if I'm not eating or drinking much.
It's easy to apply and just glides on because it is so creamy. I love the feel of this on my lips it's not drying they feel quite moisturised and soft. I can't wait to buy more colours in this range I may even pluck up the courage to try the bright coloured pink again.
