I was very excited to find this Max Factor lippie in my beauty box as I have been a Max Factor fan for many, many years.
It is packaged in a very classy gold container with the Max Factor logo on the side.
Mt shade is Rosewood 833, and while I usually prefer brown lip shades, this one was not for me, as it is kind of 'pastel' for the want of a better description, and probably a shade I could have carried off better in my youth.
In spite of the shade, it is a lovely product and is moisturising and longlasting as it claims to be, and is soft on the lips.
At $24.99 it is reasonably priced.
I wouldn't buy this shade but would consider the product in a different shade being as it has a lot of other qualities besides the colour. After reading the other reviews it's clear there are some very lovely shades available in this product.
The Max Factor Elixir Lipstick is a good lipstick for when you're on the go and need to pop something on that will look good with whatever you're wearing. I find most of the shades from this range pretty versatile, and they wear well throughout the day with minimal feathering or fading. I personally prefer lipsticks with a slightly different finish to these — I'm not a huge fan of the pearlescent look. I also hate that Max Factor still tests on animals, so I'm not going to repurchase based on that too.
