Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

I was excited when this product came out as I liked BB cream but have an oil-prone complexion and can't wear many liquid foundations. It says that it is a matte formula, but I don't find that it works that way for me. I use it under a powder as it gives coverage and doesn't clog up my pores at all. This is quite a runny formula, and applies better with my fingers than with a sponge. It blends well and feels light.

I used to use this product like everyday before i started wearing foundation. I liked the way it evened out my complexion but looked so natural. The SPF was low at 15 but was good for daily use when not in the sun all day (im fair skinned and burn easily). It is hydrating and easy to use. I would always set this with powder as a have oilier skin.

This product is pretty good and does what it claims, however I have quite dry skin so I found that this product didn’t suite me very much. I like to have a really dewy complexion and the mattifying effect didn’t do it for me. As for the rest: 8 skin benefits - SPF 15 - Really good to have a product that offers some sun protection. This doesn’t weigh the product down at all either. - Helps conceal redness - It did conceal the redness around my nose and chin area, so whoop! - Oil free - Yeah, not very oily. Great consistency that spreads evenly over skin. - Hydrates - I didn’t find this to be true. - Mattifies - It does settle as a matte base. - Targets blackheads - I don’t have blackheads so cant speak for that. - Smoothes - It does make your skin look more smooth, great blurring effect. - Evens skin tone - Apart from my under eye circles, my skin tone was lovely and even, all redness and dullness covered up.

I used this BB cream for approx a year before moving to the Rimmel CC 9 in 1 cream. I found the BB cream made my skin look too shiny by the end of the day and this was even with using a translucent powder on top. My skin might have been too oily for this product.

This product wasn't really for me as I prefer a fuller coverage product. This product would be great for girls just starting out with makeup or if you just want a lightweight cover. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin as this left my skin rather shiny (I don't have overly oily skin) but you can set with a light powder to combat this.

I found the colour selection of this bb cream very light. I have medium skin tone so I got the medium however I found it to be very pale and very grey toned. I find this bb cream quite drying (I have combo skin). I do not enjoy the scent of this bb cream either it reminds me of a hospital weirdly enough. It does give light coverage and feels light on the skin. I do like the fact that it does have salicylic acid In it for acne prone skin. I like the idea of this bb cream however not the end result

Personally I was a little excited to buy this BB cream. It wasnt too expensive as I bought it from a perfume and makeup sale. I payed $15.00. The packaging is pretty however, I thought the bottle was a little too small, especially at the original price you would normally pay. The consistancy is like a thick moisturiser, I dont think it had a bad smell as well. What I didnt like was the way it made my skin look. When I applied the BB cream, my skin looked dry and the BB cream looked caked on my face. I think its way too thick and the colouring made me look more pale. I would never use this again.

I'm not a fan if bb creams but I got a few samples of this so I thought I might as well try it. First off it is a little too dark for me and it's in the colour light which sucks. But it has salicylic acid in it which is great for spots! :) I usually prefer full coverage foundations but I think this bb cream is actually really good, a light- medium coverage that makes your face lookn great and blurs the imperfections. The bottle is kinda small but then again so are a lot of bb creAms. I like that it is very natural looking even though it is a matte finish, it gives a Satin look . It's great for an on the go student or those days at the beach :)

This is a pretty average BB cream. I choose this as it contains SPF and salicylic acid, which is good for problem skin. For reference my skin is not acne prone but can get oily and I thought this would provide a better finish compared to the Dream Fresh BB.

It only comes in two colours, which is frustrating. I am in the lighter shade, but I have olivey skin and usually the middle shade in foundation ranges, so it would not be suitable for a lot of paler people.

It applies easily and does give some coverage, with a mattifying finish which I prefer. Good for beginners or those who need something that they can get quickly - it is widely stocked at Farmers, KMart, The Warehouse and pharmacies.
