Maybelline Baby Lips Review

This was a fine product back in the days where chapstick ruled the roost, but I feel like now Hurraw and EOS have come out, it's not really anything special. It's average at best as a lip 'moisturizer' and does leave quite a bit of residue, that isn't ideal. I have the mint one which is nice and refreshing (without the normal minty tingle, if you don't like that sort of thing) and it's a good spare, but I probably wouldn't bother repurchasing. Especially because the name 'baby lips' is a little bit creepy...

I buy this when it is on special at the supermarket. I have a few different shades now. My favourite is cherry although the smell is a bit artificial.

The lip balm comes in cute, bright coloured tubes. They are very eye catching and certaintly distinguishably from other lip balms on the market.

The lip balm goes on smoothly and while it feels like its providing nourishment for your lips I keep finding I need to reapply this. Definitely not eight hours worth of wear as they claim.

I only use these in summer when my lips aren't as dry. My lips need more protection and moisturising in Winter then what baby lips can offer.

I do like using these when going for a casual look as they have a hint of colour and are prefect for keeping in the car or at work as they are cheap.

Does the job. Good to keep in your bag or i always have one in my car. Its a good lip moisturiser. Does the trick when i need it. Doesnt work well for very wind chapped lips i found though. Needs re applied through out the day. How ever i must say value for money! The packaging is super cute bright makes it easy to find/spot. My daughter who is 8 loves this lip balm. I do like maybelline baby lips. Its smooth not sticky better than others i have tryed and deffently a good price.

I picked one of these up in a big bucket sale in a purplish tint called Grape Vine. It also tastes like grape flavoured fizzy drinks or candy. I don't think this one is readily available on the NZ market though. I'd heard great things go about baby lips (a big favourite amongst teenagers) so I thought I'd give it a try. You can never have enough lip balms, right?

This is quite a hard wax. It does easily smooth on to the skin and your lips feel moisturised. It's not a heavy balm and feels light on your lips. It isn't sticky at all but sits on top of the lips rather than sinking in. It doesn't real feel like it does much though and certainly wouldn't last eight hours. I feel like it needs applying more like every two hours. It does has quite a good colour payoff though so don't smoosh it all around your lips without looking in the mirror like I once did!

This is good to keep in your bag, drawer etc but I prefer beeswax based balms and this feels more petroleum based to me. This isn't my favourite lip balm but I would buy it again in an 'out and about, left my lip all at home and my lips are about to fall off' moment.

Easy to find these at a lot of shops at a reasonable price. Great range to choose from.

I find the balm applies nice and smooth, non sticky, but definitely doesn't last 8 hours, of course if I could not eat or drink anything for 8 hours it might.

I'm a lip balm junkie and have one stashed in every area of my life. Stick balms like these are my preferred option for my makeup bag and my desk as they tend to be nourishing without being glossy and are slightly waxier than the ones I like to use at night. I bought this in the 'Mango Pie' flavour, which is the dark pink tube with yellow writing. Baby Lips comes in lots of different flavours and often has seasonal releases so you are bound to find one you like. The mango scent is fairly artificial but still fruity and pleasant. To be fair I don't expect a piece of wax to accurately capture the complex aroma of a mango.

The balm itself goes on smoothly and does provide nourishment, though not for the claimed 8 hours. Usually it has disappeared long before then and I don't like to use it at night so haven't tested it properly.

These are cheap and widely available so I may add another one in a different flavour to my stash one day.

Good lip balm but not my favourite.

It's great packaging and very eye catching and not badly priced. The smell is lovely. It was quite nourishing but needed to be reapplied several times throughout the day.

It left a white colour on my lips which was not ideal so I ended up not using the whole tube. I wouldn't really buy again as there are balms that I much prefer.

I found this product great for daily lip smoothness. It glides on smooth and gives me great general lip hydration. For this product to become my go to lip care product I would seek a high level of sun protection as I suffer from sun damage and wind damage but if you just want smooth kissable lips I'd recommend it to all.

This lip balm was a great inexpensive product that felt great and smelled good too. My lips felt silky for hours. Regular use kept my lips ftom getting dry during winter months and summer sun.

Packaging: love the packaging it is by far the most eye catching lip balm on the market in my opinion.

Product: comes in 6 different shades, available in most supermarkets, department store like Farmers. Reasonably priced for a drugstore lip balm. Slides up and down inside the Bullet with ease with a twist up style bullet. The balm itself is easy to apply. My lips are always thirsty so I find with this balm I am having to re-apply it more often so I don't find it lasts long for me at all. I love the smell of these balms but the taste to me is that typical balm taste. As I hate wasting product I use this as a primer for my lips before applying liquid lipstick and does well for that but to keep my lips nourished to wear alone is a no go for me.
