I love the Maybelline Baby Lips range! As a girl who prefers sticks to tubs for lip balm (hygiene reasons), their irresistible combination of moisturising and delicious smells are great. I also love the tinted versions when I want a bit of quick easy colour. They're affordable and really good for the lips, definitely noticeable healing of my previously chapped lips in a few days. I've tried Limited Edition Protecting Berry (centre white one, NYFW edition, clear berry lip balm) and Tinted Rose Addict (not featured in photo, tinted dark pink) and both were really great.
Tips: Use a soft toothbrush or washcloth to make sure lips aren't flaky every morning before applying lip balm to help lips be extra smooth for lipstick application. Also, make sure your choice of lip balm has a good SPF for all those hours in the scorching NZ sun this summer!
I love my baby lips! I got given one of these a week or two ago, and it has stayed in my handbag since. Makes my lips feel soft and moisturised, and has the perfect little hint of colour. I cannot wait to try the other flavours and shades!
Chapped lips gone! It worked wonderfully and within two days my lips were already back to normal! Plus the smell and taste of this wonderful lip balm leaves a pleasant feeling. You do not need to remove while eating because it tastes good unlike other lip balms i have used in the past
I love this lipbalm, it is my favourite due to the fact that it is easy to afford and is very versatile. I also like how it is really moisturising and does its job and my favourite flavour would have to be mango pie!
I was given the Mango Pie flavour by a friend and I used it for over a month in winter hoping it would help my chapped, dry lips. I really want to love it because the packaging is so cute but I just can't.
I'm not a fan of the texture on my lips - it seems to just sit on the surface rather than actually moisturising and soothing my skin. It does stay put for quite a while and the flavour is nice but not worth it for the end result - I just can't stand the way it creates a slippery film and does nothing particularly beneficial. I've stuck to my usual Blistex lip balms as they take much better care of my lips!
On the plus side the Baby Lips are a good price!
I have a few of these scattered in various places - handbag, in the car, make up bag, overnight case and even in my gym bag. My fave is the mint flavour as I find it kinda tingles a little and feels nice and fresh. Great price and so handy to pick up at the supermarket.
I have a few of these bad boys. First off they all smell sooo good! They are creamy and easy to apply. I wouldn't say that they last 8 hours, more like a couple. One things I did notice with my mixed berry one is that the colour in the lipbalm started to separate from the product. So there would be this outer ring of colour which doesn't look to appealing! This is the only one that I have notice it with though. They are a good product to keep in your handbag :)
I think these are quite overrated to be honest. There are far better lipbalms out there that are just as affordable. They do moisturise the lips but not to a point where i'd use it again. Your lips feel really soft for about 5 minutes and then they go back to the way they were before. I probably wouldn't recommend these.
Personally, I love this product. I have been using it since my teens and cannot get enough. The tinted ones are the best. I love using the flavour berry crush due to the way it looks. Hydrates your lips and fun to use.
My complexion: Fair - Medium Colour on lips: Pinkish tones (Berry Crush)
Tips: try them all :)
