I am fairly new to primers, I have used a couple of the Elf ones, and was going to spend the $ of benefits professional when I discovered that this product is being toted as the dupe for benefit. So I went out and bought it.
As far as making my pores disappear, Im not completely sold, there is definitely a slight difference, but its no miracle worker there. HOWEVER, when it comes to keeping my makeup in place all day/night long, it definitely does the trick.
If I was to ignore the claims about making my pores disappear, then it would be a holy grail product for me, although to be honest, it is definitely the best primer I have had so far, and I used it on some friends when I did their makeup the other day, and it made them look and feel great as well.
The consistency is like a gel, but different. Easy to spread out, especially over those problem areas. There is no real smell, and the packaging is very very similar to the porefessional.
I guess I wish there was more product in the wee tube, so it lasted longer, but you generally don't need much anyway.
all in all, I do love this product and I will be purchasing again
Being a fan of maybelline products - I decided to try this product out of curiosity. Usually with primers I look for ones that make my make up last longer, apply better and make my face base flawless and unfortunately this did not meet my criteria.
Upon application of this primer, I found that it didn't fill in my pores (it just awkwardly sat on top) and did not make application easier, my skin was not smoother after application at all.
In terms of longevity - this product doesn't claim to prolong make up - but managed to do the opposite for me. Halfway through the morning I found that my make up was slipping and sliding off my face - my T-zone was oily and the makeup looked like it separated on my face (note that I use powder foundation so it shouldn't matter whether my primer is silicone or water based). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to oily faced people.
