It definitely does not erase my pores - but what product does? I like this primer because it is silky, and my foundation glides on beautifully. Another issue i had was that the hard bits in it are weird, they get stuck in the top so it clogs and is hard to squeeze product out! But for the price I am happy with this prier and I use it daily.

Tips: Dont use it on your nose it makes foundation look oily
I brought this after hearing a few hyped reviews not long after it was released, once I got my hands on it I could not wait to use it!
Cute packaging and easy to use, it has quite a sticky silicony feel to the product but does make your skin feel smooth and soft. I don't feel that my foundation applied better or lasted any longer through-out the day.
I think its a good product to try with beginners and to get into practice of using primers but I feel there are much better ones out there in the market.
I picked this up from my local countdown when they were having a sale on Maybelline products, so it only ended up costing about $12 or so, which is good because this product was a horrible disappointment.
First off,I really like the packaging, its cute and colourful. However the tube is quiet small (only 20mls) so I'm quiet glad I got this on sale, can't say I would be that keen on paying $22 for 20 mls of product.
It has a thick gel texture (good if you like silicone based primers), and it didn't have a weird smell to it which I have found other silicone based primers can have. It goes on smoothly. At first glace it didn't look like it did much for my pores, but once I had put a BB cream over top it did minimize my pores.
HOWEVER, this primer did not sink into my skin at all. It sat on my face like a silicone film. I have oily skin so this was not good....It didn't get any better once I put my BB cream on. I could feel my BB cream moving around my face and it was not absorbed into my skin at all. It just sat on top of the primer. Putting eyeliner on did not go very well at all due to the slipperiness of my skin! At least the primer made the the mistakes easy to wipe off!
In order to get my make up to stay in place I had to set it with a powder and setting spray. Normally I will just use a setting spray and I am good to go.
I have the NYX photo loving primer and will continue to use that over this primer, its a similar price, you get more product and it actually works on my skin! I'm passing this on to a friend with drier skin so hopefully this will work better for her.
Tips: No good for oily skin, maybe worth giving a go for dry skin
This product and I have a love/hate relationship... So where to begin, I picked this up on sale to give it a try. Instantly I knew from the consistency of the product it wasn’t going to work for me, it is greasy and a tad thick so isn’t going to be great on oily skin but I worked with it. Then I tried to apply foundation on top of that... it went downhill from there. I guess if you had dryer skin it could work a little better for you. I give it a 3 because I must say on the dry parts of my face my makeup did apply a lot nicer (around my mouth and under eye). Did it erase pores like it said it would??? Hmmm somewhat yes. Over the colder months I have been using a small bit of this and my porefessional primer and a little light coverage matte foundation for the days I don’t want to wear a full face.
Tips: I use in combination with either my Porefessional or any other matte primer. Works well on dry parts of the skin
I always like to have this in my makeup drawer on days where I feel like my pores are HUGE and I just want it to "feel" like they are being blurred, even if they aren't doing the best job. I think this is an average product, it definitely helps to at least feel like its blurred your pores, but since the silicone texture is so slippery, depending on which kind of foundation you use, the blur effect can go away. However it is always worth a try due to the price range, but I would not recommend this to anyone who uses quite a watery foundation.
Tips: It is best to use a small pea sized amount and rub it in, then wait a few minutes before applying foundation
I purchased this product around a month ago. It caught my eye due to the cute tube and the idea of baby skin on my face ate me up, and I had to purchase. The first few times I used the product it was on make up free days. For this use, I have found it satisfactory. It does what it says in concealer pores by coating a silicone-like layer of product over your face. The application process to me was not very appealing, as it felt like I was smearing my face with a heavy type of gel. It did not feel light on my skin at all. However, it definitely covered my pores.
The big problems with this product started when I tried to use it under my every day make up as a pore eraser. It states on the product that it can be used under makeup but I fail to see how. When applying foundation and/or concealer after using this product, I'm literally just moving my foundation around my face and the makeup slides everywhere! I've tried to apply my foundation over the top of this product with multiple different brushes, a beauty blender and my fingers and had no success in getting an even foundation finish. Instead it has been blotchy, patchy and outright jelly-ish. So I've given up on this product as part of my average makeup routine. Would love to know how to apply it so everything stays where it should.
Tips: Wear only on days where you're not planning on wearing make up.
Being a fan of maybelline products - I decided to try this product out of curiosity. Usually with primers I look for ones that make my make up last longer, apply better and make my face base flawless and unfortunately this did not meet my criteria.
Upon application of this primer, I found that it didn't fill in my pores (it just awkwardly sat on top) and did not make application easier, my skin was not smoother after application at all.
In terms of longevity - this product doesn't claim to prolong make up - but managed to do the opposite for me. Halfway through the morning I found that my make up was slipping and sliding off my face - my T-zone was oily and the makeup looked like it separated on my face (note that I use powder foundation so it shouldn't matter whether my primer is silicone or water based). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to oily faced people.
I recently purchased this product to replace my normal more expensive primer's because I couldn't wait for my usuals in the mail. I found it to feel amazingly soft and silky going onto my skin, but was not happy with the results. After applying all my foundation and setting powder I found that my face became shinier than usual and had a greasy feel to it all day. My eye makeup clumped up in the creases too. I won't be buying this product again.
Tips: If you aren't a big fan of the dewy look or just are looking for a go to affordable primer this one is not the one for you.
I purchased this as a friend had recently brought and enjoyed the product.
The packaging is cute, but in my opinion, quite 'young'. For most that's not an issue and it wasn't necessarily for me as it's not something I would have on display, however, I'm generally more attracted to more sophisticated or interesting/artistic packaging but that's entirely personal preference. The packaging is also quite small, especially in comparison to most primers (20ml).
It applied nicely to the skin and left it feeling very smooth (therefore baby skin like I suppose!) and pores somewhat minimised, however, for me.. the positives ended there. I found the product sat on the surface of my skin and didn't sink it. When I applied my foundation, which is a matte foundation and usually dries quickly on my skin without a primer, the consistency completely changed because it blended into the primer and the foundation didnt apply as nicely as it usually would, it also felt like it was just slipping off my face and further products I tried to apply afterwards slipped and smudged so easily. My base didn't really set properly until I applied powder (which is part of my usual routine), however, it changed the appearance because the powder didn't set as nicely and overall I just felt like my base looked cakey and wasn't going to last.
I do however, acknowledge that this product doesn't promise any mattifying properties and really only mentions it will blur pores... I do have oily skin so I think I struggled more with this product whereas someone with drier skin may find this works a bit better for them? Or else I think this would best be for a younger audience of more younger/new makeup users.
Tips: Perhaps, treat this almost like a moisturiser and give it half an hour to sink in... as best as it can! Also I think this product would be best for either people with dry skin or younger/newer makeup users.
I bought this last week, it kind of smells funny when you put it on, i guess it helps smooth your skin a little bit and maybe blurs tiny pores but doesnt diminish them hugely. It did help a tiny bit to blur the pores i have on my cheeks which arent huge, is a nice base to start with.
