Picked this up on sale (like I always do when I want to try something!) after reading many reviews and articles praising it. I’ve got combo skin and I just think it’s too greasy for my type. Don’t really think it does anything for pores it’s just a standard primer really. Feels too think and oily when applying for my taste and makeup doesn’t really stay put.

This product and I have a love/hate relationship... So where to begin, I picked this up on sale to give it a try. Instantly I knew from the consistency of the product it wasn’t going to work for me, it is greasy and a tad thick so isn’t going to be great on oily skin but I worked with it. Then I tried to apply foundation on top of that... it went downhill from there. I guess if you had dryer skin it could work a little better for you. I give it a 3 because I must say on the dry parts of my face my makeup did apply a lot nicer (around my mouth and under eye). Did it erase pores like it said it would??? Hmmm somewhat yes. Over the colder months I have been using a small bit of this and my porefessional primer and a little light coverage matte foundation for the days I don’t want to wear a full face.
Tips: I use in combination with either my Porefessional or any other matte primer. Works well on dry parts of the skin
This gives a siliconey silken feel to the skin when applied (Like Garnier perfect blur), so applying makeup on top it will make the foundation/concealer move around and not last very long. On the other hand it hides pores and has a blur effect on the skin. So it kind of makes the skin looks better by itself. I also think it is kind of hard to remove and even though they say it is non-comedogenic, I find myself getting small breakouts after using this. I will not be buying this again as the one I have is not even finished halfway and I had it for a ..while.
I liked this product mainly for the fact of the nice smooth skin feeling it gave my face after using. In saying that, you don't get much in a tube so I scrimped on using it to get my moneys worth. For my skin type it seemed fine with the Maybelline foundation I used with it - but like all my makeup, doesn't seem to stay on my face without touchups.
This primer does have a lovely consistency and texture. It's smooth and light, does not feel heavy on the skin and isn't oily. It creates a smooth canvas on which to apply your foundation. My only gripe is that as time passes, it causes my makeup to separate. I find better hold on my foundation without using this primer.
Tips: A little goes a long way...
I had high hopes for this product as I didn’t want to shell out for benefits version. Unfortunately though this product felt super siliconey, I didn’t see any pore blurring or filling. It might work for people with a different skin tone and type however. I’m a bit combo - dry patches but oily by lunch, struggle with a few spots and black heads and pores that I feel grow in diameter by the day! A younger person with fresher skin might have better luck with this product. I won’t be buying again and have decluttered this from my collection.
Tips: Try before you buy!
This is honestly one of the best drugstore primer out in the market for the longest time. This was the first primer I've used as someone really addicted to trying out drugstore products this is one of the products I repurchase and use. It is really good for someone who has a combo skin like me to keep the make up intact for a long time
Was very silicone textured which didn't help my makeup stay in place, I also didn't like how It didn't really last either as the tube is such a small size. I do love the colour of the tube and the branding it is very cute and eye catching.
Tips: Don't use too much at any one time.
Really siliconey, I use it occasionally if I'm doing a heavier base with a blending sponge as I found brushes made it shift with the makeup. Feels nice and soft though and makeup in oilier areas seemed to stay put better while wearing it.
Tips: Apply other makeup with a sponge
I found this primer never set down on my skin, so it felt oily/greasy. Meaning the make up slid around more than without it, so would not recommend unless you need to add moisture to your skin.
