Eh. That's the best way I can describe this product... It is NOT a primer, as I've seen others describe it as. It does nothing to help your make up last, if anything it almost melts it/makes it slide off. It did smooth out my skin, so I guess that's a plus? But had absolutely zero affect on my pores. This also makes my skin break out a lot easier. I think maybelline was trying to make a dupe for Benefit's "the POREfessional" (which is amazing btw) however this product is an overall fail. Not worth it.

I love the whole idea of this product! Primer! Smoother Pores! Wow! Not so. The first time applying it to may face I felt like I was doing something wrong, my skin looked the same, and the product didn't want to soak in. Second and third attempt, used a little less, but still didn't soak in properly. I tried to follow up with my normal makeup routine each time but found it was slipping everywhere like putting water on wax. Disappointing. To use up the last of the tube(I hate wasting products) I now mix a little with my tinted moisturizer(10.0.6FaceTheDay) for the days I don't want full makeup, AND, it works! The combination of the 2 products together actually make my skin look great! Not quite what it was designed for but at least I'm still getting my moneys worth.
My skin type is oily and acne prone and I found that this product was absolutely horrible for my oily skin. I have very large pores around my nose area but at the same time that is where the most oil is produced. This is definitely a no go during summer for me and I'll have to find another pore filler product to use. However I do find that this product does diminish the look of pores as my foundation and concealer applies much more smoothly when I use this. I would not recommend for people with oily skin unless it's during winter time when your skin can get a little dry
Tips: Massage with warm finger tips so that the product actually fills the pores
As soooo many people have been getting excited and saying this is their new favorite pore hiding primer, I decide ok let's try this... so wasted my money. Packaging is cute and i would only use this product if my others were suddenly all emptied in some awful accident though I'd probly still not us this product.. When I first put a pea size amount on the back of my hand it visually reminded me of the nyx clear primer, after rubbing it on my face it felt sort of smooth but spread around it just disappears and disappointed me. For this product to possibly work you would need to cake it on =/
Tips: Save your money spend the $5 more on the nyx clear primer, baby skin is only 20 ml and the nyx is 30ml so you get more product and better results
I find this is a good drugstore product, meaning that it doesn't cost a fortune but it does the job. But it isn't something that I would recommend to everyone. It has quite a silicone feel to it which would only work for those that have dryer skin as I feel it would just slide off an oily complexion. it does a good job at blurring out my pores but I find after an hour or so I found my skin would end up looking patchy if I didn't wear a setting spray over the top, soI use this on days where I am only out for a few hours and don't need a full coverage foundation. I like the cute packaging and a little does go a long way.
Yes please. This cute little puppy comes in a minty blue coloured tube quite a small size thst has a screw tip which is also it's base to stand on. The contents is a almost clear a tad cloudy gel like silicone paste that dispenses easily from the tube. It feels silicone like but goes on velvety and has a very matte feel and how it works is it warms up and instantly diminish the pores so it does as it says pore eraser. I am loving this little cutie. I use it daily it does hold up my makeup but doesn't prevent any slick or oilyness thru the day , which has me wondering how does it keep my makeup on if it does become oily well one thing it does also contribute with being oily is creasing around my nose like build up of makeup so I will need to powder that and smooth the build up out & my t zone does become shiny. Nevertheless I still like this little cute puppy bc it does erase my pores and does ok to hold my makeup for the price I can't complain but also I can't rate it 5 star
it gives a dry but silky smooth finish and it doesnt really minimise pores , it is my first primer ive ever owned and maybelline is my go to brand. i was verry verry excited to add this to my makeup collection
Tips: use only a little bit when you use it
I picked this up for $10 on sale at countdown....well i'm not impressed with it at all. Doesn't do anything for me, if anything it makes my foundation look worse and sort of sit on top of it. It does give your skin a silky smooth feel but that is about it. It can feel tacky and mask like if you use a bit too much. Not going to continue using it and definately not a great product for me.
Primer is one of those things that we all need but can't bring ourselves to spend that much money on as say a lipstick or an eyeshadow palette because you don't actually see it once it's on. However it is definitely a worthwhile investment as it's essential for keeping your makeup on longer and making it stay where you put it. Because of this I believe that this Maybelline primer is one of the best options out there. Although it doesn't 100% erase your pores like it claims to (cause let's face it, that's impossible) it does give your skin a smooth base to apply your foundation onto. I've used it with a variety of different foundations and it's worked well with all of them. This product is a staple in my makeup bag, and as it's so cheap I believe it will be for months to come.
Tips: Try not too use too much as this product works best with a thin-medium level of coverage. If you use too much your foundation will look cakey.
I had high hopes for this as Maybelline has been a go-to for my skin and primers and it promises such lovely results!
I first picked it up as it was on sale and could not wait to get home and try it out. The packaging was super cute (although a little small) and I'm not above admitting i may have purchased it due to the hype and prettiness of it. The texture was silky and silicon like and since other primers I have used have felt similar I was pretty amped to see it in action.
What a sore disappointment. It seemed to stay on the surface of my skin for a long time, and be too oily to apply make-up for about ten minutes. Even when it had "soaked in" my foundation seemed to skim over it and not stay very well, in fact doing the opposite of what a primer should do. I saw absolutely no difference in my pore size, and when applying it over blemishes, instead of creating a smooth surface it made them look more obvious and bumpy.
Possibly good for someone with dry skin who or someone who prefers powder make-up, but otherwise a definite avoid ladies.
Tips: Leaving it to soak in for as long as possible before applying your make-up is the way to get the best results
