I love this product. I have always had trouble with my eyebrows but with this pencil I am able to get the look I want and to me it looks fairly natural or as natural as I would like my brows to be without making me look moody.
The pencils goes on smoothly and the powder fills well. I line the bottom of my brow and sometimes the top and then fill in with the powder. It is a very great idea and so glad I own one. I love it so much I bought my sister one.
I was lucky enough to be chosen for the trial team for this product, and have been using it for a couple of weeks now until I decided to finally sit down and write this review. I was sent the dark brown colour, because my hair colour is black. The Brow Satin product itself is a double ended pencil, with a thin, soft pencil on one end, and a spongey powder on the other end. To start off, I have to say that as someone who is still trying to figure out eyebrows, this product was initially a bit difficult to use properly. There were minimal directions on the packaging, and so my first attempt to use this product ended up a disaster, as I ended up with over-dramatic brows. The shade of the pencil is much, much darker than the small amounts of powder which comes out, only after pumping it quite a bit. I realise that the pencil is intended to define the brows, and so it makes sense for it to be darker, but when the powder doesn't have much colour payoff at all, it ends up becoming a bit difficult.
However, I found that after a few trials and errors, and figuring out where to start defining your brow, and how much you need to build up the powder, my brows stood out nicely and looked quite neat. I ended up becoming more impressed with the product as time went on, and now it's one of my favourite brow products!
Tips: Start defining your brows maybe 1cm in from where your brow starts from the middle- the brows look way too dramatic otherwise!
