Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara

I have used this for a few days now and have really been enjoying it!

First impression - the packaging is not my favourite, it looks bulky and a bit cumbersome. However, the lid had that satisfying ‘click’ when you close it, and I also really like the shape of the wand! It is gently curved which makes getting into the root of your lashes nice and easy.

The product itself is nice, no strong smell, no irritation.

I love the way it didn’t clump my lashes together - I don’t know if it’s the formula or wand or a combination of the two but bit left my lashes really defined.

I wore this with no other make up and as such, rubbed my eyes as I forgot I had anything on, and was pleasantly surprised when I had no fallout or smudging!

I love trying new mascara so was excited to be on this trial. One thing I always make sure is that my mascara is waterproof as I get watery eyes sometimes and there is nothing worse than looking like a panda! This however is not waterproof but says up to 24 hour wear so I was definitely going to put it to the test for staying power.

The tube it comes in is super chunky, it's definitely not my favourite.  The wand is a good size with one side slightly curved and sturdy bristles. I did one coat and holy moly my lashes were huge! It lengthened and curled brilliantly I was quite blown away by how they looked. It is a lovely deep black too which I like.

For me I only need one coat as when I tried going in for a second coat they just looked clumpy and some lashes were stuck together badly....it was quite a mess. The formula is more on the dry side and I feel like you need to work quickly as it dries quite fast.

I got no flakiness or transfer at all during the day.....I definitely did not look like a panda,  they pretty much looked exactly the same when I went to remove it 10 hours later. I used micellar water and it came off easily.

I feel like this is a brilliant mascara and it definitely does what it says. It makes my eyelashes really stand out which I love. It is great for both day and night and would look amazing with full eye makeup.  If you are looking for a new mascara that gives you beautiful lashes then I highly recommend buying this!

The mascara has a thinner texture which I like because it means the brush doesn’t apply too much product at once, allowing me to have a natural look which I prefer, but it does layer well too. I liked the brush, it is a good shape and was easy to apply even to the lashes in the inner corner and lower lashes. I found it dries fairly quickly which helps hold the curl, especially for my lashes, which don't like staying curled. It lasted over 12 hours, without flaking. Just a little transfer on lower lashline but it was almost unnoticeable. The mascara also reapplies well, I did this in the evening without any clumping or going on too thickly. It came off very easily with micellar water. Overall, I would definitely recommend this mascara, I really like the versatility and lasting power and it is a decent price.

I wore this every day after receiving it. I like the brush, it worked really well even on my lower ones, easy to get the lashes no accidents bumping into my skin. The tube I got was a good consistency not dry, also not too wet. One coat gives noticeable length and thickness without getting crunchy. I tried another coat after the first thoroughly dried and got super thick long lashes but not that awful squashed spider look. It does get hard on the second coat. I have pretty long lashes, if I frowned and looked down you could see the tips of my lashes touching my eyebrows. I could feel them hitting my glasses too. I was on a Teams call for work and someone asked if I had lashes on. So I stuck with one coat only after that. I found it didn't flake or transfer at all unless I forgot and rubbed my eye a bit. It was easy to get off just with a bit of micellar water. I really like this mascara, I am going to continue using it and would purchase it when I finish it.

So, feeling rather dubious, (since most other mascara I have tried have been, well a bit meh) I gave this one a whirl and.. Well.. It's awesome! My blond tipped lashes sprung up and out like a flower opening its petals and holy moley this stuff is hard to budge. It stayed on all day, even through a rainstorm and needed a serious rubbing with the makeup remover. It isn't heavy either which I loved. My lashes were fluffy and separated and even the wee spidery ones in the corner looked good after a coating of this wonder paint. It does what it says it will on the packet and I reckon that's pretty rare these days.

Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara is an absolutely epic mascara, i have used so many different brands in my many years of wearing makeup an this is by far the nicest i have been blessed to try. I believe it will be my forever go to mascara, unless they somehow come up with an even better one this beauty. It is thicker than alot of other mascaras I've used in the past, where I've needed to have endless cotton buds on hand to clean up the eyelids.

This is from where my lashes would touch my eyelids as I opened my eyes as they weren't dry oh the dramas, No clumps just the words a girl wants to hear with a new mascara. Then we have the coverage an what can I say but AMAZING, this baby dries fast so if you want more coverage doubling up applications isn't a long process an no mess needing those good old cotton buds. Dont forget about the amazing brush that also helps with the curl that every girl loves her lashes to have, I didn't even have to use my eyelash curlers now that's just another plus for this solo mama with not so much spare time on her hands.

I love this mascara so much I even went out to get one for my mum from the chemist warehouse at the wicked price of only $17.24, this makes me super excited an happy that this is available there an its cheaper than I've paid for other brands.

So ladies if you need a new mascara, make sure bee line to chemist warehouse if you want it at an amazing price or other stockist an try this bad boy you won't regret it.

I did an online shop with countdown and ordered my normal maybelline mascara but was substituted the curl and bounce and it’s become my new fave. I love the shape of the wand. It really curls my lashes. And it lasts all day!

I have always been Benefit Beyond Blackest Black Mascara lover! But after receiving this beauty in my last lot of goodies I am so in love with it x The wand is amazing does not feel like it is scratching your eye lid, evenly spread on the wand, brushes on the lashes so beautifully. No irritation too, which is a huge biggie for me as I have sensitive eyes. All in all I have repurchased this beauty Mascara with my beauty points through the Beauty Vault x so happy I could get another again x

I can’t remember the last time I used a mascara this fantastic and I’ll be buying this again and again. From the first swipe it grabs all your lashes including your teeny tiny ones and coats them to look longer and thicker. Even just one coat is enough to look good but I always do two coats to build up. I don’t ever use mascara on my bottom lashes (I have a different eye shape) so I can’t comment on how this looks there but on the top lashes this opens up your eyes magnificently and yes it does curl up a bit. The wand is actually curved so just look before you apply which way you have it facing. A day can go by with very little smudging so it’s very long lasting.

I can remove this with a light makeup remover but just be wary that if it gets wet the colour will start to transfer off and you’ll get little black spots on your skin. Likewise if it hasn’t dried enough after applying and you’ve sneezed you’ll need to do a touch up.

I wish I’d remembered how great Maybelline mascaras are as I can now stop looking and just get this one forever!

I picked this up in the vault along with another maybelline mascara as its one of the things I religiously wear and buy.. and as usual I do purchase maybelline.

I very rarely shop outside maybelline for mascaras as they are just so affordable and do the job for me.

This one lived up to the task.. It didn't smudge and lasted all day. It didnt break or snap my lashes.. and left them growing as per usual with no snapping or breaking off - unlike some other mascaras I have used.

I can have watery eyes and sensitive skin and this has not irritated me yet which is another bonus.

In terms of colour it is black as black and doesn't dry a lighter colour.

Nice consistency to apply and doesn't crumble which is great!
