Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick Review

I have about 5 of these lippies.

I don't think this is a bad product by any means, but I do find that I reach for other lippies over these often.

I am not a huge fan of the smell, I am quite sensitive to scents and so this is a bit off putting for me.

The formula is quite nice, not too dry but not to creamy either so I find these actually stay on my lips for a decent amount of time. They are nicely pigmented too so you get great colour payoff.

I personally find the packaging feels a little cheap and I really dislike when purchasing from places like Farmers that they don't come enclosed in a plastic/cardboard packet - but only have sticky tape keeping them closed. It is hard to remove and I always feel a bit unsure about if the product has been opened.

Not my absolute fav lip product, but definitely worth 4 stars.

I have these in three shades (all nude, I have a problem!) and I love them all!

The consistency of the product is lovely - it's a colour rich formula that isn't drying at all.

For easy to maintain day looks I use one coat and top up every 2-3 hours. When touching it, it's not bitty/patchy - you don't need to remove the existing product which is great.

You can build the colour with 2 coats and you'll get a great night time look.

You can pick these up regularly on sale, but they are worth the RRP.

I absolutely love this colour! It is my top chioce for purple lipstick. It is a bright colour, that looks amazing and can be worn day or night.

I adore that it has a bright purple colour, which looks like purple, unlike other colours that have a purple hue.

It goes on very easily.

Unfortunately, it does dry my lips out, and fades after about 2 hours. Although it is high maintenance to keep up, the colour makes it worth the while.

Everyone comments on how amazing my lips look!

Have gotten two of these and love the colours and the feel of then on ur lips feel so soft and moisturising i like how it covers my lips like its not patchy and its not sticky :) will so buy again and its easy to get as supermarkets have a range of maybelline

I have the shade Mango Diamonds. Love this name! I am still not 100% sure where I received this goodie from as lots of BR ladies received them and we still haven't figured out why? I am not complaining though, am very grateful as I've never tried any Maybelline lipsticks before.

I love the square shape packaging. The lipstick holder is silver and the lid is clear pink with shimmers of multiple colours throughout which I find stunning. I've had no issues with the lid falling off either which is perfect!

Mango Diamonds smells divine, exactly like mangos. To me the shade is a light coral with a hint of orange. This lipstick also has glitter throughout but not an overload of shimmer though. It is extremely creamy and moisturising to the lips.

The colour is gorgeous, however I did need to apply a few layers to be able to actually see the colour on my lips. It didn't have long lasting power, possibly one hour which was disappointing. This hasn't put me off though and I look forward to trying more shades out.

I would recommend this lipstick, even though it doesn't stay on very long, the smell is to die for!

I love this lipstick. LOVE IT! I have it in shade "Pink Peony", and it's utterly delicious. The color is a lovely soft subtle pink with a subtle shimmer. The colour is not special as such, as something similar us not difficult to come by, but what I really love about this lipstick is the texture. It's a really creamy, silky, balmy consistency. There's no oily feel, so stickiness to it, no gritt, it honestly just feels wonderful to apply. I love how it makes me lips feel. it also doesn't have that gross, bitter taste that many lip products seem to have. It's very subtle, and very pleasant. It doesn't feel dry or cake or leave residue. I really like this lipstick. My favourite out of everything I've ever tried, which is saying a lot. I have a few different brands, some cheap, some medium, and some high end. This hits all the expectations, and for me in many ways exceeds that if the far more expensive products. it's even great on my lips when they're feeling dry or flaky. Such a great lip product. I want all the colours!

I've always been a lip balm girl, but after receiving one for a promo that Farmers had going on, i decided to get into it. I got a lovely Plum Perfect shade, and it goes on so smoothly, gives off a lovely deep colour and shine, and actually lasts a good few hours without the need to constantly reapply. This particular shade makes me feel a little edgy, but really glam. I also have the Red Revival, wow I really love this product.

I have this lipstick in the shade 445 Mango Diamonds and I love this lipstick and the shade. It is very shimmery and shiny and the colour is more like a soft coral/peach colour (rather than an orangey/mango colour). It's not a colour I would normally use, but it's been fun to be a bit different and wear something brighter for spring/summer.

The packaging is very cute - pink shimmery see through case around a silver applicator. It does bug me though that I can't get the ingredients sticker off (it's too sticky).

The texture is very creamy and it is very moisturising on my lips, but the colour doesn't last very long (so need to reapply often). It smells very yummy though (fruity scent).

I recently just brought one of these in the shade Mauve-ulous and I LOVE IT. It is a great colour and it lasts all day. It doesn't fry like other lipsticks and the price is very affordable compared to other high quality lipsticks... I got mine on sale at the Warehouse for approximately $16 which is what enticed me to buy it I've seen them around for $20 or less. I want more! I plan on adding more different colours in this brand and range to my cosmetic collection

Love the colour range! They are nourishing on the lips, and never leave me feeling dry (as a lot do) the colours are great, and they last reasonably well. I usually touch up a a couple of times a day, i find that in a night out i would maybe retouch 2 times, if i'm drinking, which isn't too bad!
