I received this lipstick with the September Beauty Box in the shade 530 Fatal Red. It saved me purchasing a new lippy for Halloween (red themed devil makeup), and I was quite surprised that for a creamy lipstick it was not messy during and after application (left it on for an hour). The best thing was it made your lips look luscious!

I am a huge fan of red lipsticks - have tried a lot of them but never Maybelline - this is a nice true red, not a pinky or orangy red like a lot of them, and it did glide on really easily - the colour was great but I did feel that it didn't have the staying power of some other lippies on the market. Probably not my "impact" red lippy but it has found a home in the top drawer at work for a quick touch up after lunch
Tips: Definitely needs a red lip liner applied prior to the lippy
These are pretty good lipsticks for the drugstore / mass retail arena. The color choices are excellent as there are so many and what's good is there are a number of shades with a satin or creme finish as I do not like glitter or shimmer. The formula is smooth and not drying. I could do without the smell, which smells exactly like L'OREAL,which in turn, owns Maybelline so no surprise there. The staying power isn't that great but apply, blot, and apply and that seems to increase wear time.
I received the fuchsia shade of this lipstick in the September beauty box which is a super bright and gorgeous colour!
It glides on the lips really easily, feels really smooth and moisturising, and the colour builds really well. It looks fabulous for about 10 minutes but just disappears so quickly after that and ends up looking very messy. Therefore I find that I cannot really use it very easily.
Overall I love the colour and feel of this lipstick but it is just not long lasting enough for me to use it.
I received this lipstick in the September Beauty Box and was quite excited as I hadn't used a Maybelline lipstick before. The colour was very bright but still looked quite nice.
The formula was very smooth and creamy. Unfortunately I had to apply quite a bit to get nice, even coverage which then made it look messy and it wore off quite quickly.
I'd use it again once I buy a similar shade lip liner and then could use the lipstick in a more gloss-like manner, but until then it remains in my lippie drawer.
Tips: Use a lip liner underneath and don't apply the lipstick too thickly.
I love how this lipstick feels incredibly moisturising but it colour slides right off my lips. I have three shades: Are you Red-dy, Vivid Rose and Twinkle, and all three feel like a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. After a meal, it looks like I have not applied lipstick at all.
I guess this lipstick is ideal for you if you want to try a bold colour but have been hesitant up until now.
Tips: Treat this lipstick like a lip gloss or lip balm.
This lipstick is so easy to apply and the colours look great but it's just too creamy for me. I like lip colours that last and this product smeared and came off too easily. If you want your colour to last all day you have to keep reapply. It's really affordable though which is great, would just be nice if it stayed put a little longer than it does.
I picked up one of these in the BRBB last year and almost never wear it; I've tried to the last few days as I'm working through things in my makeup stash to see what needs keeping, and I actually like it more than I thought i did.
The Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick range comes in silver tubes with a bright casing reminiscent of the old 'jewel' cd covers for burnable cds (showing my age here, maybe!). I have 904: Vivid Rose, which is a bright hot pink.
This swatches quite brightly, is but actually more subtle on the lips. The formula feels stable int hat it doesn't feel like it's slipping and sliding around - but it is slightly tacky. It transfers like mad, but does leave a pink stain on lips that means they look pretty even once the majority has worn off.
I'm hugely into matte liquids right now but this is a casual 'slick on and go' option that I really must start using more often!
Tips: You'll get better staying power if you put a layer on, blot, dust with powder and repeat
I brought my lipstick online for a very reasonable price, the shade I chose was vibrant mandarin because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and go for something a little risque.
I think the packaging is very simple and nice and easy to work with, I feel that the lid wont come off in my handbag and tarnish everything!
I couldn't stop smelling this product, it just smelt weird. I think I liked it? I think I didn't.. I don't know but its all I could smell. It was almost like the smell of candy, turkish delight and a cleaning product all mixed up into one... Hmm?
I found the lipstick really creamy, you definetely need a light touch for this one. It was so creamy that it kind of ended up everywhere once I had it on.. Ummm?
The colour however was outstanding, I was really pleased with the shade I chose. It kind of reminded me of something Taylor swift would wear pre met gala ;)
I would say give this lippy a go and try the different shades, I don't think it would handle a night out on the town though... I feel that it would be a bit messy to keep!
I got gifted the dark red colour of this and i wasnt really a fan. They are extremley pigmented and the color was nice and deep but i didnt find it too long lasting especially when i was sipping drinks i have to reapply quite a few times and the red stained just above my upper lip quite badly, however because i was given it i cant really complain to much but i dont think i would purchase for myself. I would rather pay another $12-$15 for a lippy that i know ill be in love with!
