Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Tattoo Review

After weeks of deliberating as to whether to purchase or not to purchase, I purchased. And I'm so very glad I did. I got mine at a makeup sale for about $15. I got inked in pink which wouldn't have been my first choice because I have blue eyes but it makes a great base and looks gorgeous when paired with gold. I holds powder shadow all day. I really want one of these in barely branded as an everyday colour to wear alone but it seems that it is so popular that where ever I look for it it is sold out.

I purchased this after reading really good reviews & watching youtube videos, everyone was so overhyped about these pots, how longlasting they are. I ordered the pink one, it was so bright and glittery, I really didn't expect it, it didn't look good on me and it was creasing on my eyelids after an hour. The wrong color choice was probably my fault (although pink should look good with my brown eyes and hair), but it wasn't longlasting at all. I tried it again with eyeshadow-base underneath next time, but got the same results. I gave it to someone who loves these color tattoos.:) I love maybelline products, but this one really isn't for me.

I'm a purple freak.. i love purple. everything purple! so when maybelline were giving away a free tattoo eye shadow with their new Volum express plush mascara, i was instantly interested! of course i chose the purple, and i have never been disappointed! i love the colour, the smooth consistency, and the staying power it has, i use it for smokey eyes under my lower lash line and i have also used it as an eyeliner with a fine brush. I havent tried it all over my eye lid, i normally do a half & half with a lighter colour. I cant rave enough about this product, and the size is awesome too so i wont be running out in a hurry, however when i do i will be purchasing another one!

I was really excited when these came out because eyeshadow was my favourite kind of cosmetic. I had the blue, green and purple shades. Each color came in a small glass tub with a plastic lid. The colors when inside the jar were beautiful solid metalic colors but when I applied them they were not as bright unless u applied it quite thick. I tried applying with a brush and that didnt work too well so I used my fingers and it applied way better. Because The colours were not bright enough for me, I would use these under some of my powdered eyeshadows creating different looks. It also made the powdered eyeshadows pop more and last from dusk till dawn. Because of that, I would pay $14 for one but Id love to see more shades in this range. Although 24hours is a bit over exhagerated, they do last alot longer then the average eyeshadow by miles. Or should I say hours.

Love these! Such a great product and great alternative to some of Mac's paintpots. Think the neutral toned ones are so good for an eyeshadow base.

These make my eyeshadow last a very long time without creasing I love them. However some of the shades are too glittery for my liking. But overall these have to be one my favourite products of all time

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about this product, but its amazing! They are so pigmented and super easy to apply in many different ways. They easily blend and they make a fantastic base for night time dramatic looks. I want the whole collection!

Mine stays on without creasing which is great considering i have extremely oily eyelids. Although i find them a bit to glittery for my liking to wear through the day and mostly wear it when im going out at night.

I have hooded, oily eyelids, so usually my eyeshadow barely lasts the morning. This got me through a whole day, including a concert where I got hot and sweaty. The colour is gorgeous, and is very pigmented. I am now after a few more to add to my collection

This is a good eyeshadow, the colour pay off is great, and easy to work with. I love the colour Bad To The Bronze, it gives beautiful detailing to the eyes without any other shades. This shade is suitable for day time and can be dramatic for night time by pairing with a dark lip.
