This product comes in a cute yet strange container. When you look at it side on all you see is glass and the black lid no colour till you turn it upside down and I've seen a lot of fantastic colours and when they were on sale I thought I better buy one for a try. This colour is a nude gold colour, which is easily applied by fingertip am yet to try with a brush yet but so far so good

I have four of these and while 3 are great 1 was a let down.
The colour pay off is amazing, they are so pigmented and easy to use, easy to blend and easy to apply.
However my gold/glitter shade is patchy hard to get on the makeup brush, hard to apply and not so easy to blend. I have sprayed my brush with setting spray before dipping into the shade and it still doesn't stick to the brush which naturally makes it hard to apply.
All shades are cream and sit on the lid as a cream also which make it a little heavy and tacky feeling if you use too much. (use a little if you can, the pigment is great enough to get good colour without packing it on)
All the shades are cream. in a small glass bottle which you can't really see the product through untill you unscrew the black lid off.
I will continue to use these shades but I will give up on the gold.
I love these and own quite a few. I apply using a small brush as that is what works for me. They are so creamy and last sooooo long! The colours are fantastic and higly pigmented which I always have a hard time finding in an eyeshadow. Great price and cute packaging. Definately worth buying :-)
Beautiful colours and seems nice and creamy but I found the texture hard to work with, probably fine for someone who is better at make up than me but I definitely prefer a powder eyeshadow find it easier to blend than this. I wanted to like it more! It's so pretty
Very Pigmented, Good amount of product too! I have used the blue, purple, black and white one and i will say i will be using them more! Cute packaging too! I use several of Maybelline's products too so its a good brand. So far this is my favorite!
Tips: Very good base colour when using glitter or (white) doing a bright eye look
For the price, this is a great product. I do find that it is a bit dry so i have to dig my brush into it. Also it doesnt blend well, but if you want a solid high pigmented colour it is great!
Tips: Use only a small bit at a time and build it up as it is very flakey and it will clump if you over apply
These used to be my absolute favourite eyeshadows before I learnt how to use and blend palette eyeshadows. I would definitely reccommend them for people who like to have gorgeous eye colour but can't be bothered with the fuss of blending and crease colours etc.
Throughout the whole of 2015 I would wear one of these colours almost every day and they always stayed on. This is even without an eyeshadow primer. I only ever used the more metallic colours as I felt they had amazing pigment. A couple of the coloured ones I owned seemed not as pigmented.
Occasionally I still wear these when I don't have time to do a full eyeshadow look so they are perfect for a fast, beautiful, easy eyeshadow look.
Tips: Brushes apply well too but I found using your finger applied really nicely too as the shadow warmed up from the heat of the skin.
I love this product on my lids for special events where I want my makeup to stay perfect all night without fading or smudging. My issue with this is that it is hard to blend with a brush, fingers are the best option but this means less precision. Still a wonderful product, I like to do my whole eye look and then finish it off with a dash of the silver in the middle for an eye catching metallic pop!
Have this in #35 Tough As Taupe and I have to say I'm impressed. Not only is this super accessible across NZ (hello, Farmers), the color is vivid and lives up to the promises for long staying-power! I love this matte shade for everyday wear, easy to use with a smokey eye or layered under some glitter some a more glam look. You can't go wrong with this neutral shade, but that pink and gold shade is now calling my name...
These pots are magic. Once you get used to the correct way to apply, you won't look back. I own about 7 of these and wear them most of the week. They stay on for all heavy exercise and don't fade, smear or bleed. Micellar water takes it off, or jojoba oil - my 2 make up removers of choice. Dramatic black is my new black eyeliner for eye lid. Barely beige is good for nude look. Bronze and Champagne are nice as is with some eyeliner, or under shadows as a primer. Taupe looks like a neutral grey on me, can be made dramatic for a darker eye.
There are 2 ways to apply: Using an ELF concealer brush I pat and poke it onto the brush making sure there are no crumbs. Then swipe it into the corners and keep filling over the lid. Most of the shades perform very well like this. Deep forest I chucked out as that went smeary and didn't stay still. It's a leather variety like the taupe and dramatic black but the formula isn't as good. Or you can pat your finger into the pot and then pat it on your eyelid, giving a more blended out look. This I don't prefer for the darker shades as I find it hard to get an even shade using finger tips.
You don't need primer with these, in fact I think it stops them sticking if you use it.
Tips: My sensitive eyes don't have a problem with these.
