Tips: Set with powder eye shadow on top to last longer, use the gold one as a highlight above the cheeks bones
I decided to grab a few of these when they were on sale and have the shades Pomegranate Punk which is like a deep plum color and I also have Turquiose Forever which is a very nice shade of blue. I think that these are great for a base of eyeshadow or you can even wear them on there own. I find that these are easy to apply as they just glide on and they are very pigmented. I have found that these do dry up very quickly so make sure you do purchase these in shades you would use. I have found that these are at a reasonable price and that there are a lot of different shades to collect. I would definitely repurchase these.
Tips: Apply with your fingers.
I initially bought these to use as an eyeshadow base. Mostly, I have colours from the metallic range, but also have a few of the originals. First impression: amazing!
The are extremely hard to get off, so the 24hr claim is completely true! I feel as though you only need a little bit as it goes a long way so I know I wont need to restock on any of my colours for a while. Very affordable and easy to pick up from Farmers. Definitely a fantastic range of colours.
Tips: Use finger or a concealer brush to apply. Blend well and quickly before it sets.
I only own two of these but am hoping to expand my collection once the Matte shades are available in NZ.
I bought Barely Branded and Bold Gold. I didn't bother with the other shades as the colours are not ones i generally wear. I apply with either my finger or a concealer brush, i prefer using fingers though as the warmth of my skin helps it go on smoother.
Barely branded is a great base for neutral shades and lasts so long and keeps the colours vibrant.
Bold Gold i wear under Half Baked from UD and it looks so pretty. I've used this dozens of times and theres still looooads left in the pot, these are going to last forever.
I have 3 of these and they are great!! They work really well under other eyeshadows as a base/primer and help the colours to last longer.
I was a bit reluctant to try this product as I hadn't had a good experience with cream eyeshadows. But this product has gotten me back into them! The range of colours are amazing and the price is very reasonable!
Tips: I first bought the shimmery white "Too Cool" colour tattoo to use as a base under matte eyeshadows to add a slight shimmer. I then went back and bought more...
I found these to be incredible. They are highly pigmented, a great base if you want to add colours on top and they stay on for ages. I highly recommend these.
I used this for the ball last year in the colour 'Bold Gold" and ended up wearing my makeup for twelve hours, and my eye makeup looked the same after that time as it did in the beginning. The glitter in this colour particularly is very chunky so I prefer to spread it across my eyelid with my fingers but all in all its beautiful, great for gold smokey eyes. The other colours are just as pigmented, if not as chunkily glittered.
I always used the MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study as my eyeshadow base religiously....that is until I tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded. Not only is it sooo much cheaper; it goes on smoother. The pigmentation is great and it keeps my eyeshadow crease free all day. What more could you want?! Definitely my new HG. I plan to collect them all : )
Okay I will admit when these came out I saw them as a cheap version of paint pots and I guess they are but they are just so brilliant.
They are far more affordable, have amazing longevity, don't crease, have an easier to get air tight packaging (important so it doesn't dry out), have a wider variety of colours and are so easy to apply. I love them, I want them all, I have to have them all.
The nudes and white are great as bases as well.
Just wish they had some darker colours that weren't limited edition/ridiculously hard to get in NZ. Would love a matte and shimmery black.
