I used this for the ball last year in the colour 'Bold Gold" and ended up wearing my makeup for twelve hours, and my eye makeup looked the same after that time as it did in the beginning. The glitter in this colour particularly is very chunky so I prefer to spread it across my eyelid with my fingers but all in all its beautiful, great for gold smokey eyes. The other colours are just as pigmented, if not as chunkily glittered.

Can be worn on its own, or as an eyeshadow base. Very pigmented and easy to blend. I don't wear makeup for 24 hours but have worn this for 16 hours at least and my eye makeup held well. I love 'em but I wish that Maybelline would come out with a beige matte shade.
Tips: Best applied with fingers, and blend edges with a synthetic blending brush.
Love this product! I recently found these on sale and bought five of them..... Im in love. The colours on their own are amazing and have a beautiful sheen to them. Used under shadow they create a great base which gives Mac a run for their money. They are a tad shiny which makes them harder to set though and should be used as a base with a shadow over top and not used in the crease. But for the price vs quality they are a must have essential for me now.
Tips: Try using them on their own with a translucent powder to set them to get the full effect of the colour
The colours are amazing and the pigment is great, will agree that it doesn't go on evenly if put on with a brush though. I also can't vouch for the 24hr thing, mainly because I haven't had it on for a real extended time, more just playing around. I have the purple, teal and gold and I'm so gonna buy the rest of them, just because all the colours are so beautiful!
Tips: Apply with fingers and not a brush, just because it doesn't on evenly with a brush! :)
I’m going to confess that I am a MAC snob. (Side note- I own MAC ‘Snob’ lipstick, and it’s great and yes you should go buy one). However, certain ‘drugstore’ products have sneakily made it into the MAC cool kids club in my makeup kit. One of such products is my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Silver Strike. These awesome pots of goodness are the affordable alternative to MAC Paint Pots.
Silver Strike is intensely pigmented and applies evenly to the lid. I like to use my fingers to apply so that I retain the most of the colour intensity. The texture could be ever so slightly smoother but this really isn’t a big deal.
This stuff lasts really well and doesn’t crease. As for the 24h claim, I do not know. Aint nobody got time to sit around for 24h without taking off his or her makeup. All I can say is when I take off my makeup at the end of a standard day, the eyeshadow looks to be in relatively the same state as when I put it on. You won’t want to muck around once you get it on your eyes though- there is only a small window of time in which the product can be manipulated before it dries, at which time it will not budge. Because of this, they can be a little bit harder to work with if you are intending to blend several colours ensemble.
Now for the colour; Silver Strike. If you raided Michael Hill, melted down all their charm bracelets and put it into a pot, that’s what the colour is like. Pure, glittering, crisp silver. It’s not steely, not grey, not asphalt-esque, just a perfect bright, shimmery silver. Particularly beautiful on blue eyes with a fresh complexion and bright lips, but anyone can rock it.
Maybelline Colour Tattoos come in a screw top pot and have no discernable scent. They are non-sticky, long wearing, intensely pigmented and a great product to have in your makeup arsenal.
If you want your eyes to make a statement with minimal effort, give these Maybelline Colour Tattoos a whirl.
I found these to be incredible. They are highly pigmented, a great base if you want to add colours on top and they stay on for ages. I highly recommend these.
I was a bit reluctant to try this product as I hadn't had a good experience with cream eyeshadows. But this product has gotten me back into them! The range of colours are amazing and the price is very reasonable!
Tips: I first bought the shimmery white "Too Cool" colour tattoo to use as a base under matte eyeshadows to add a slight shimmer. I then went back and bought more...
I like the colour range and the product works well as a base. I quite like the effect it has once eye shadow is put on top of it. Quite a good price too so I'll be getting some more of these
Tips: Use fingertips to apply, it doesn't work well with a brush because the product won't apply evenly.
I have 3 of these and they are great!! They work really well under other eyeshadows as a base/primer and help the colours to last longer.
I always used the MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study as my eyeshadow base religiously....that is until I tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded. Not only is it sooo much cheaper; it goes on smoother. The pigmentation is great and it keeps my eyeshadow crease free all day. What more could you want?! Definitely my new HG. I plan to collect them all : )
