Tips: If you have oily skin like myself, I press powder my face to set th foundation
I'm on the fence with this product. I have the fit me powder, sticks and the liquid.. This is the only one I am disappointed with. I find it makes my skin quite shiney and looks quite oily. I do still use the product but not as my main foundation.
A couple of years ago I only wore foundation and mascara. I didnt get colour matched, I just guessed. So I'm super pale and got 320? Don't know why, I thought it would match. It was horrible, I then got 230, then 225, then 130. NONE OF THEM LOOKED GOOD D: They were either too yellow toned or too pink toned, I felt like the colour selection is definitely not as big as it could be, also even though I didnt get colour matched, I still didnt get any help in decided which is why I wasted about 80 on colours that were way off. Also makes it feel cakey on my face which I hate, it's not too bad for night outs just I wouldnt leave it on for too long and the feel and look of it makes me think of breakouts eeek
Tips: Even though colour wasnt great, I mixed 220 and 130 together which created a colour I was able to wear out at night and use powder etc to lessen the colour a bit. I still have them and use them, but I suggest mixing colours like I had to do and even then it wasnt perfect :/
I found like product to be just okay. I didn't think it was very long lasting and I certainly wouldn't want to wear it on a long day out or to work. It had a nice light coverage but would be better if it lasted longer.
I started using this foundation about 1 year ago when my younger sister purchased it and I was impressed with the coverage and colour fit. This has always been my go to basic foundation and its great when you want coverage light or heavy. Just recently I stopped using this for a few months as my sister gave me a few a few bottles of other foundations she had brought but never really used so I switched for awhile to try something new. I have always had combination skin but having only just switched back to Fit-me I have realised how much more I am breaking out now and how oily it looks and makes my skin feel. Only now have a realised my issues previously and that this may and is most likely some of the cause. I had no issues while using the other brands. I tend to now use this lightly and with a mineral powder over the top. I'll continue to use the new bottle I have and see if I still get the break outs but at this time I don't feel its suitable if you have oily skin as the foundation itself is quite oily. Easy application with the sponge however and colour matches are always great.
Tips: Wouldn't recommend for oily skin.
I like this product, I don't love it however, I'm a regular Shiseido user and had run out so for the time being until I could get into town I went to my local store to see what they have , with a bit of a verity I was however drawn to this.... On using it it was ok, it did cover the things I wanted to cover (my spots), but I didn't like the end result my skin looked shiny! It was far too oily, a light brush over with a powder fixed this issue however it's not great on it's own :)
I purchased the fit me foundation for my local farmers. At first I did like the foundation as it was not heavy but, the coverage is not great. I found it to have very little coverage and stay power. It has a very dewy / glossy look to it which I am not a big fan of. I found it to become very oily very quickly on my skin
Tips: If you have oily skin I would not recommend this product
My first ever foundation, when I didn't know what the heck I was doing.. I picked the wrong shade, and applied it with my hands.. no wonder I wasn't getting good results! It's such a good start off foundation though, light coverage, gives you an even skintone, and doesn't feel too heavy! Great stepping stone for when you are not ready to rock full coverage :) I did find that it slipped around a lot, and I personally wouldn't repurchase just because I need more coverage that lasts long and have many other foundations I am in love with at the mo
Tips: Use with the powder, and the concealer! Because they are also amazing products (and were created to work with it) :)
okay, i guess if your under a budget then this foundation does the job as it gives minimum coverage and it is buildable but however tends to get cakey. I have oily skin hence i had to set everything over with a poweder to keep it matte. The consistency is quiet runny and it does glide on your face quiet well BUT do not blend in with your fingers however use a brush or sponge as it wont cause any streaks.
I was excited to try this foundation because it’s for normal to oily skin. Maybelline have rebranded their Fit Me products well at least the foundations. There is this one the matte and poreless and the normal fit me foundation with the original formula. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is a tone and texture fitting foundation formulated with blurring micro-powders that supposed to mattify, erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless looking finish. The formula is a very thin and runny consistency.
The formula is made for normal to oily skin types, if you have dry skin this is not for you, i recommend trying the dewy and smooth formula. The foundation shade selection comes in 16 shades, i got the 235 pure beige. The packaging comes in a glass bottle, with a description sticker on the back of all the ingredients, the shade name and number on top of the lid and also the brand name, shade and number on the front of the bottle. This foundation also doesn’t contain a pump dispenser.
The foundation feels very lightweight on the skin and provides a light to medium coverage, it’s certainly not a full coverage foundation but can be layered for a fuller coverage without making your skin look cakey. It is very easy to blend out with a foundation flat top brush but i found using a damp beauty blender made the foundation look beautiful with a really nice finish. The finish of it isn’t matte i felt it was more of a velvet finish. I also tested for flashback taking a photo with and without flash and there was no flashback.
I found the foundation did oxidize roughly 45 minutes after application as well as the foundation did sink into my pores. It did not control my oil very well at all, i found it made my T zone area where i would normally get oiliness a lot worse then normal. I found myself using alot of blotting tissues and after each use the foundation had transferred onto the blotting tissues. I don’t recommend this foundation at all for those hot sunny days especially if you have oily skin, i think this foundation is more suited for normal skin.
Overall i am disappointed with this foundation and i don’t like it at all, Maybelline need a pump dispenser for their foundation products especially for how runny the product is, their is no control over how much you pour out onto the back of your hand or mixing palette. I don’t recommend it for users whom have oily skin or enlarged pores. I think it’s best suited more for people who have normal skin with much smaller pores. I am thinking the formula isn’t strong enough for enlarged pores and for people who have oily skin. This product is not something i will repurchase.
Tips: Apply with fingers or a brush, if you have mild oily skin you can set it with a powder after your foundation application & before applying foundation also a good primer is good too.
