Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

Hunting high and low for a great mascara, I tried this as it has been on the market for many years and recommended by many, and the price is right. It goes on easily enough, with a generous spoolie brush, a nice glossy black which plumped up my lashes. No extra length but I wasn't really looking for that anyway. Unfortuately it very quickly ended up showering down my face in little black flakes which made my eyes water. Mixed with the aforementioned black flakes I ended up with red smeary eyes. Not the look I was going for. Consigned to the bin.

This mascara does nothing for my lashes, I have pretty crappy lashes that need a lot of help from mascara to look nice. This formula is quite wet and the brush is tiny. If you have already nice lashes but they are light then I think this mascara would be great to just darken it up. Even when I've tried to build it up, nothing much happens.

I love maybelline mascaras usually but would never buy this one again.

this is a awesome mascara if you have shorter eyelashes this brush allows you t get every lash and it makes them appear longer and spaced out giving the affect of lots of lashes. DOES NOT CLUMP:)

Maybelline great lash mascara gives a great even look with no clumps. Lengthens and thickens while conditioning. Would definitely recommend for someone who doesn't have very long lashes and is looking for something to give you length and definition. I would definitely use this again and am replacing my old mascara with this one.

My big sister always told me this was the best mascara and she swore by it so when it went on sale i got the blackest one and all it did was make my eyelashes feel rock hard and stick in some places and then be perfect in other places.

This is about as basic as it gets when it comes to mascara. It's always lauded as the world's favourite mascara but all that says to me is that there are a lot of women out there who are settling for less-than-ideal lashes if they're using this!

The brush is very basic and does nothing to separate or curl lashes. The formula is... well it makes your lashes black, I'll give it that. It doesn't lengthen or add volume, and my lashes are already black, so it's a bit of a waste of time.

I remember loving this mascara when I was younger but when I tried it again about a year ago it was definitely not as good as it used to be. This is a very basic mascara. It does as it says and does not clump up however, it doesn't really do anything for your lashes it doesn't volumize, lengthen or anything like that it just like taking some wet gel eyeliner and coating your eyelashes in it. I think this would be good as someones very first mascara or for a beginner.

This is such a classic, it was probably the first mascara I ever had. But compared to others now I don't find that it does what I need. The formula seems to dry out my lashes and just never has a fresh look.

This was my first mascara and I used this brand for years! I definitely do have others I prefer now, but do keep one of these on hand. The best thing about it for me is that it just doesn't seem to clump up on my lashes which is great! There are definitely better ones out there for volume and length though. Good basic mascara.

It's a good first mascara, but it does not give you volume or length, so it does not create attention to your eyes. I had a bit of clumping but it's not to bad, I think this mascara would be good for young girls who don't need dramatic make up and lashes, so it's rather average.
