Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

Great lash is my fallback mascara. When I'm poor or have run out of my favourite I seem to find a tube of great lash lurking. And I do really like it. The wand delivers enough product without being overloaded. The black is a really rich deep black which is good. The texture is quite thin so it spreads nicely without clumping and gives a very natural look. It does really burn if you get it in your eye. Good for everyday wear.

I bought this mascara after reading the reviews on here and even though they were mixed I decided that I'd give it a go. Despite the hype it was not what I was after. I found that it was too black for my eyes, that it clumped, and that it smudged extremely easily. I ended up with massive panda eyes after just a couple of hours. Not something that I would rush back to buy again.

Not a big fan of this mascara. I dont think its as clump free as it advertises to be. Makes my eyelashed look very thick and my eyelashed stick together in groups rather than seperating tthem.

I've heard about this mascara for years, magazines always go on about it, and I finally tried it. What a disappointment. It did it's basic job, darkening my eyelashes, but that was about it. I thought it was pretty clump and the wand wasn't very good either. I wouldn't use it again.

This is a classic product. I always recommend it as its the easiest one to remember the name of the ones I prefer. And its so famous, everyone knows which one it is. Love the blue product of this!! Unfortunately it is not available in NZ. Have tried purchasing it threw other countries but the last time I saw it available was in Sydney a couple of years ago. The black is still a nice easy mascara to use. Its famous for a reason. :)

Just bought this (on Amazon so the formula may be different for the different countries) and tried this for the first time. It did the job for me - worked well, felt nice and didn't clump!

I like it, will definitely keep using it and probably buy it again. It worked for me and my needs!

I would call this your typical 'go-to' mascara for anyone who is a first time mascara user. The wand is easy to use, it paints the mascara over the lashes nicely. Lashes look darker, and fuller. It enhances the eyelashes to a natural degree... they don't look too overdone.

I used to use this mascara at high school, and I think it was my first proper mascara I owned. I have grown out of it since, but as a basic mascara it ticks all the boxes, it doesn't really clump and it thickens lashes really nicely!

A really average mascara that didn't do much. Good if you were going for a really natural look though I guess. It didn't thicken the lashes at all but did make them black and didn't clump too much
