Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I used to use this mascara for years when I was young. At some point I wandered away from this brand, as there's always something new on the market and mascara is my weak point in regards to buying on a whim. Last year I bought it and used it again, having had fond memories of it when I was young I thought it would be a solid buy. I'm not sure why, but I'm not sold on it any more. My eyelashes are thick and naturally curled, so I'm not sure if thats it, but I found it really clumps. I used it quite a few times, in various ways thinking it was user error, but the result was always the same and I felt that other brands were much better on me.

So I have not tried the original black one before, but I really wanted a blue mascara and this was the only one I could find. It was also very cheap online. I have no idea if the black one is better than this, but this mascara was meh. I didn't exactly expect a ton of volume or length or anything like that, I just wanted the colour. But I did, of course, have hopes for the formula of the mascara.

The colour payoff is fine, but the formula is very thin and it sticks to the mascara wand weirdly so that it can be kind of difficult to apply. It also smudges everywhere, especially if applied on the lower lashline. It flakes quite a bit throughout the day and it comes off extremely easily, but I'm not sure whether you'd call that a pro or a con. Overall it's okay, but I kind of wish I could've gotten better.

Back when I was even younger, I never knew how to buy makeup and just bought whatever is cheap and has 'good claims'. I thought it was good back then but when I think about it, it wasn't that great. It was just clumpy and smudged a lot.

I used this mascara for years, I remember one day seeing an ad that said this is what makeup artists recommend, so it had to be good, right? Don't believe everything you read, folks!

The brush on this mascara is quite small, which I like, but the bristles are really far apart so it just clumps your lashes together. The wet formula is pretty average, there's not a whole lot of volumising action either and it smudged under my eyes every single time I wore it...I had permanent panda eyes and nobody ever said anything, haha!

It's not horrible, but it really does nothing for your lashes. The only time I'd use it again is if I was on a desert island and this was the only mascara available to me.

I used this years ago and remember loveing it so i gave it a go again.. big mistake. . I wasnt a fan at all, it went clumpy really fast which made it really hard to apply. i also found it made my eyes a little itchy but that may be because i keept noticing little peices of mascara had come away from my eye lash. over all i dont think i would waste my time or money on buying this again

I bought this mascara after hearing how it is a cult favourite! Maybelline mascaras have always been a personal favourite of mine - so I thought why not add to the collection. I found the consistency to be very wet, the brush looked small but still a nice size. After a few attempts at trying to use this mascara I've come to the conclusion it's simply not for me! Im a fan of big thick lashes with lots of volume at the base, however Maybelline Great Lash only delivered in seperation and adding length to my lashes. I also found that it took a longer time to dry then other mascaras I own - resulting in more smudges. I'm so disappointed I couldn't add this to my list of HG Maybelline mascaras!

This mascara is affordable so I thought I'd try it out but ended up being dissatisfied with it after the first use. It was really heavy and even after curling my lashes gave them no volume and made my lashes look droopy and not at all what I wanted. I thought maybe it was the brush held to much product so I wiped it down before I applied my mascara, this helped a little but still didn't separate my lashes or give them much volume. It is super waterproof though which is the only thing I was satisfied with although it was a pain to get off

used this as a fill in between my normal mascara, the brush is really small which is great if you like that sort of thing! the formula was clumpy and didn't go on very well. it left me with panda eyes and I had flaking throughout the day onto my lower lids/cheeks. the coverage was good minus the clumping.

Firstly the brush is too small for my liking I feel like I have to put a dozen coats on to notice any difference, it tends to flake off so if you are wearing it make sure to check the mirror so you don't have unwanted black lines.
