I bought this mascara as it is a cult classic. I am a big fan of Maybelline mascara so - they work well and generally do what the say. I liked Great Lash but didn't love it as much as their other ones. It isn't bad but I do think that there are better formulas out there.

This is my back up mascara, its a good mascara when i apply to my bottom lashes they look great, but i dont find it very buildable and if i want to apply more layers it sometimes clumps. It doesnt last very long might be because it isnt waterproof. But removal is very easy!
I bought this mascara as an emergency mascara one day when I was caught without. I have very long but blonde eyelashes so wearing mascara is like breathing for me! I actually thought the mascara was pretty good, offered great coverage. However, the brush is too small to achieve the look I normally like for my eyelashes so I actually used the brush from a recently used L'Oreal Extra volume collagen mascara and found the coverage was much better. For the price I think this is a pretty good mascara however I think it needs a slightly fuller brush to achieve lush lashes!
Tips: use a fatter brush from an old mascara to get better coverage.
I had been looking for a decent, well priced mascara for a while (well priced meaning below about $15.00 due to budget).
I saw this mascara on special at Countdown online, down from $14.99 to $11.99 so thought I would give it a try.
I like the colours of the tube, nice and bright and easy to see on the shelf so found it easily at the store. It was still on special so pretty happy about that.
The brush is an older style and has short bristles, which I wouldn't normally pick but again it was the price that made me buy it - plus it is a good brand. The brush was not laden with mascara when I pulled it out of the tube but I did dunk it back in to get some more on it as I like a thicker coating on my lashes.
It went on ok, doesn't really clump too much but I do find that it ends up all over the inside of my lower lid leaving black marks which doesn't look great and make my eyes run lol. It does give fairly good coverage (I apply 2 coats though) and is waterproof which I like.
Is a bit hard to get off even with waterproof removing makeup remover.
All in all it's a pretty good mascara which I would probably buy again but mainly due to the price, if it was on special, I probably wouldn't pay full price for it (but then again I'm a scrooge haha).
Tips: Be careful when applying as I find it does tend to "run" a bit and can end up smudging
Saw this on special and thought I would try again since I had used it many years ago. I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting a thicker product to come out but was happy with the wand which separates my lashes ok. It is very waterproof which is a bonus. I used the shade very black, which is a bit harsh for me being an older woman. I found it doesn't clump or leave a mess.
I don't know, there was a lot of hype about this product - I didn't get it. I'm not saying its a bad product, more of quite an average one though. It darkens your lashes, yes. It thickens your lashes, yes. It doesn't really lengthen your lashes too much, a little flaky and clumpy. Overall this product does what any other mascara does but there is nothing that makes it stand out.
Best mascara I've tried so far is "Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal"
This is not the best mascara there is but I usually wear it with another mascara to build up the volume and for my bottom lashes. I find that it separates my lashes and make them longer
Tips: When doing your bottom lashes wait to dry cause they do tend to get on your eyes and they do take a while to dry
I think the selling point of this mascara is the price and how long it's been around. It's fairly inexpensive as mascara goes and been around since the 70s or something like that.
It didn't do much for my lashes. I found the spoolie very easy to use but it left my lashes as straight as ever. Mine are very short so I have to use mascara to make it look like I have lashes in the first place and this one just didn't do the job as well as previous mascaras I have used from Maybelline. I did get the waterproof one and that held up very well since my eyelids are supremely oily so if that's what you're looking for and nothing else, this mascara will do the job!
I doubt I'd get this again. There's mascaras out there that are cheaper and could potentially be better than this one.
I found that this made any slight curl in my lash drop, this is a very black pigmented mascara but does to and any length or volume to the lash
This was one of the first mascaras I owned/borrowed from my sister. It was good and did the job properly. So good for like a basic mascara but doesn't volumise or lengthen lashes. It does the job well. Just not the one for you if you are wanting vavoom
