Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

Omg I hated this mascara!yes it has been around for years and has a great reputation so I thought after all this time I would give it a go, my friends love this mascara but not me! I used it for a week and the brush was just horrible for my long curly lashes, they just looked limp and lifeless and there was no pop at all! I was highly disappointed and unfortunately would never buy again. There was one out a while ago with a different brush that I tried and really liked but this one like in the picture just is not a love for me.

I am highly confused by this mascara, supposedly a 'classic' and very hyped up product and yet it's just so average. Yes, it has a great colour but it doesn't provide volume or length. The formulas quite wet and doesn't layer particularly well. Brush is really nothing special either.... Also flakes slightly at the end of the day. Overall, it doesn't do anything expect provide a lick of colour to my lashes.

I liked this mascara when I knew nothing about make up. Tried it again once I knew more about make up as it is a cult classic and I was so sad. It made my lashes black, thats it. The formula is nothing special, the brush is nothing special, it caused my lashes to clump together. It adds nothing in the way of volume or length. A total let down

I remember this was one of the mascara's a few of my friends and myself use to wear throughout our high school and to be honest i wasn't a fan of this product as my eyelashes usually became clumpy, or the wand was clumpy. I have hardly no lashes and length and thickness is important to me, and this product was unable to fulfil my needs.

Iv tried about 6 different maybelline mascaras , and this is definitely my least favourite. It seems to just coat my lashes black but doesnt make them appear any thicker or longer. I would definitely go with a different option in this brand such as falsies

For me it didn't give me great lashes.

I don't know? I just found that it didn't make my lashes look that different..darker yes..but long and full no. :(

This barely had any mascara on the brush. It was next to useless and I needed to put another coat on from my almost used up last mascara.

I have to admit I have on used this product once, but that once was more than enough! I borrowed my sisters one a week ago and my poor poor eyelashes. There were clumps, they eyelashes stuck together, and when I removed the mascara I was saddened to see that it pulled out a tonne of eyelashes, I was not impressed I had at least 15 eyelashes fall out of each eye. Also I found this product let off a smell, I didn't even realize it until my boyfriend asked what that smell was. I will NOT be using this product again. EVER. What's worse is that my sister SWEARS by this product. To be truthful, I believe she remembers the hype and how trendy this mascara used to be, and this result hasn't happened to her.

Why is this product such a classic? I've tried it a few times but had nothing but trouble. The product claims to be clump free but I definitely had trouble with it clumping. On the upside it did apply a nice thick coat to my lashes but over all I think there are better mascara's out there now that surpass the quality of this one. Regardless of its large number of fans it's safe to say I won't ever be repurchasing this one. Sorry Maybelline.

I brought Maybelline Great Lash Mascara from the warehouse on a 20% off sale...i have to say this product lasted me ages but not for good reasons. i found that Maybelline great Lash Mascara makes my lashes clump together , when wearing it for a long period it goes really dry and smudges under the eye making me look like i have black bags. :( i also noticed it irritated my eyes to the point i nearly rub my eyes raw. never again! its cheap but not worth it!
