I am forever searching for that holy grail of mascaras, and unfortunately this is not it. However having said that, it is an incredibly trusty side-kick.
It has a great price tag so makes it one of the most affordable mascaras. It doesn't give a great deal of volume, but it certainly coats the lashes beautifully (even the tips) so gives a great lengthening effect.
The small brush makes applying to the lower lashes really easy too.
Tips: Don't leave this product lying around too long otherwise it tends to thicken up and start to clump.
I found this mascara very easy to apply and it made both my top and bottom lashes stand out more. It stays on for the entire day and doesn't smudge at all. It separates my lashes and I was also impressed at how the mascara doesn't go 'clumpy' and I have been using it regularly for around 5 months. I will definitely repurchase this, as it is very affordable and is very easy to use.
This is one of the first mascaras i have bought for myself, i always seem to have some in the back of the cupboard or deep in my makeup bag. I tend to use it more when i have run out of another brand as i find its quite thick and hard to get off with just water or a cloth and will take eyelashes out if i try this. Other than that theres nothing wrong with it , i like the brush shape its quite easy to get into the corner of your eye and gets evenly distributed .
Tips: i sometimes after its gone use the brush with other mascaras that have brushes that are tricky
Beautiful, long, thick lashes are what women strife for when purchasing a Mascara. For me, I have very short, fine, barely there lashes, so Mascara is an absolute must. This is a popular mascara and one a lot of makeup artists swear by. The brush is on the smaller side of brushes I normally like. It picks product up well and applies very nicely. However it doesn't do anything to lengthen or thicken my lashes. It definitely doesn't clump which is fantastic and great if you are after a natural look. If you are after dramatic long lashes, look elsewhere, it does do what it says and doesn't clump so does the job it says it will.
Tips: Wipe any excess off the brush if there is too much when using on first application.
So I decided to buy some Maybelline Great Lash - I haven't owned one of these candy pink and lime green sticks since the 90s! I have to say as a simple, everyday mascara it is great. I can thicken and lengthen my lashes easily (just don't let it dry between coats, keep working with it before it sets!) and I love the super dark colour it gives my lashes. I find the fact that it is a 'washable' mascara soooo good as I detest struggling to get mascara off at the end of the day... losing eyelashes and all in the process! I do find that formula wise it doesn't exactly 'solidify' hard on your eyelashes like some other mascaras (I personally dislike that brittle feeling some give) so in one way it is good but in the other way it can stray a bit so some touchups may be needed throughout the day. Overall I really like it.
Tips: If you are working on building and lengthening your eyelashes with Great Lash, work on one eye at a time until you have the look you want - If you have a delay inbetween coats and it starts to dry slightly, it can get very tricky.
Amazing product! It ayers on thick and make your lashes look extremely long. As awell as that, you can find it at a lot of places for a very cheap pirce. Only downside to this is that it takes a bit longer to dry compared to other products but i still highly recommend it!
Tips: I use an extra mascara mrush so i can comb through my lashes when using this, just to make them look extra full and not clumped.
This mascara is an oldie but a goodie I like it for really natural day or to layer with a volumising mascara.
Tips: Apply 1 coat and follow up with a volumising mascara for that falsies look
This isn't the best mascara I have used but it certainly does a good job of giving you some great lashes! I like using this mascara best on my bottom lashes but it works great for top too :) It is a very build able mascara and the colour is great! This mascara isn't waterproof so it sometimes does smudge.
Tips: Don't touch your eyes when you have this mascara on as it does smudge!
I've tried others but keep coming back to this mascara. I like the brush, doesn't clump, lasts in the bottle for ages (ie doesn't go gluey). Easy to just purchase at supermarket. Doesn't dry out eyelashes. Will never stop purchasing, at this price a firm favourite. Only negative doesn't thicken lashes as claimed.
This was the first mascara I ever owned, So has been around for a wee while! I love the smaller brush that it has so you can get to those tiny bottom lashes. Its does well at defining lashes, easy to use, looks great on and has stood the test of time! great little mascara!
