Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

All of my friends rav on and on about this mascara. It does work well sometimes, but other times it makes my eyelashes go into all kinds of directions and leaves me looking like a crazy wide eyed lady. Sometimes I get watery eyes and if I have this mascara on it really really burns and makes my eyes even more watery and blood shot. Its great when its great and it is really bad when its bad.

In my younger years it was a mascara I brought quite a bit off heaps of heavy eye makeup was the go, it was good for the price and you can get it at the supermarket, it was a we bit clumpy and did tend to flake, but did the trick

My lashes stuck together and by the end of the day I had black crumbled mascara under my eyes. I loved the blackest black, but it's smudged.

The Maybelline Great Lash Mascara did do everything it said it would do and I find that it works best when its new, however it does tend to form clumps on the brush which makes the application difficult. I have overcome this problem by rinsing the brush under hot water to clear the clumps. Despite this, the shape of the brush makes it easy to get every lash and it helps my thin, blonde lashes make a statement. I would certainly recommend this product for those girls on a budget, it is good value for money, yet you won't get as many uses out of this compared to a more expensive, higher quality product.

The packaging is cute and simple. It's compact, travel friendly and the colour is quite cute too. For me though, that's almost where all the good things end. I don't like the brush. It's too big and I feel that it makes application very messy and the product constantly flicks onto my lids. It doesn't thicken as it says it does and I find that there is almost no difference between wearing it and not wearing it. Sure, it lengthens and darkens them a bit but it doesn't give my lashes volume. I also find that it takes a very long time to dry so would not be good for those in a rush, and it might also be this same reason that causes this mascara to smudge super easily. One good thing about it is that it doesn't clump. It separates and would be good for an everyday, no-makeup makeup look or if you're just starting out with makeup. Personally though, I would not repurchase.

This mascara separates and lengthens your lashes well and doesn't tend to clump, however it doesn't give your lashes any volume or curl. It's really easy to remove, however it does tend to smudge a bit during the day, particularly under my lower lash line. Nice compact product which fits easily in my makeup bag and the brush isn't overly big which I like - means I don't hit my top eyelid with it! The mascara takes a while to dry so you need to wait a while after application. Although it is an affordable product, I think there are better on the market - but for the price it does the job.

I purchased this because the sales lady said it was the best there is. To be fair I thought it was OK.... not the best I have used. It doesn't clump but I didn't think it gave a lot of volume either.

I bought this as it was on special at the supermarket. It is probably onde of the worst mascaras i have tried. It seems quite watery or something

I use to buy this, and thought I must have been applying it wrong as I had heard great review but was not getting the same effect as every one else... I would apply it around 8am .. but when I checked at lunchtime, around 11am it would no longer be on my lashes... but under my eyes :(... Then it was a horrible, horrible job trying to remove it from there, product that is definitely not for me :(

A really average mascara that didn't do much. Good if you were going for a really natural look though I guess. It didn't thicken the lashes at all but did make them black and didn't clump too much
