Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I dont understand how this mascara has so much hype; it didn't work for me at all. The product didn't stay on my lashes and smudged terribly throughout the day. It didn't hold a curl, they ended up droppy instead. Also, it leaves your lashes feeling very dry and crusty! Not ideal..

I didn't think much of this mascara. I felt it did not spread well, it clumped when applying to eyelashes and it was hard to get added length to my eyelashes. So I was very disappointed with this product and probably wouldn't purchase it again when I compare it to other mascara brands.

I have read so many rave reviews of this product, so thought I would give it a try when my normal mascara ran out...

It was advertised as no clumps, but that is exactly what i got! My eyelashes all stuck together and it looked like I had just been reapplying over the top of old mascara for weeks. Was not a fan of the look this gave me at all :( Which was very disappointing seeing it is so highly recommended!

Years ago when I first purchased this mascara I was impressed with it. But when I tried it again, all it did was darkened my lashes a bit. It didn't lengthen or thicken my lashes at all, it was just so wet and thin and clumped easily. The colour was really good it was just a pity that it didn't make my lashes fuller so that you could notice them more.

It worked better on my bottom lashes but was hardly worth putting on my top lashes.

I still have this in my draw as a back up when I run out of other mascara but it is not my go to mascara at all.

I tried this mascara as it was getting a lot of hype for it and was a great price. I liked how it had a small wand to apply although I had to use a cotton tip to mop up mascara getting on my eyelids and underneath. I have sensitive eyes so although it did not irritate my eyes I found that by the end of the day I had smudging under the eyes. I wouldn't purchase this mascara again.

With the hype behind how great this mascara is I was so dissapointment when I used it.

The Maybelline Great Lash Mascara comes in a pink plastic square tube, screw top lid with a brush applicator.

The product itself I find far too thick and we'll glugy.

Upon application I found straight away my eyelashes were really clumpy and the product didn't go on evenly. Made my eyelashes bold but not in the way you want them too be.

For a $20 Mascara that you can get from almost anywhere I think you can find better.

I'm sorry Maybelline, this product was a huge let down for me.

I have seen this mascara in so many friends make up bags over the years and decided to give it a try. Pretty disappointed really. I wanted to like it but found absolutely no redeeming qualities beyond the cheery packaging. The bristle wand is standard but felt a little shorter than the average wand. The mascara went on fairly easily and unfortunately came off just as fast. Twice I had to remove smudges under my eyes during the day which I honestly haven’t needed to do in years. It didn’t offer much in the way of volumising or lengthening and I didn’t continue to use it long enough to see if it started to clump. (Most mascaras don’t clump the first few times you use them, when they are all fresh, and this one didn’t either.) I don’t know why it kept running on me but the second and third time I used it, I found the same thing happened and eventually gave it to my teenage neice. There are so many fantastic mascaras on the market these days and I found this product lacking in comparison and somewhat dated sadly.

I wanted to like this mascara as I usually like Maybelline products. But I find it clumpy, and it never seems to dry. I also don'l like that it stings and irritates my eyes at the slightest bit of contact.

I bought this because I like buying and trying new mascaras, well, this one was a huge disappointment. It did absolutely nothing for my eyelashes. I wouldn't bother buying it when there are cheaper options that do a better job.

I would love to say that Maybelline Great Lash Mascara has rocked my world, I really would. I've tried it twice - approximately 10 years apart and both times MGLM and I have had to part ways. I would put it on and the next thing you know it would be half way down my cheeks or half way up towards my eyebrows. It just wouldn't stay on. Initially I thought it was me being young and too quick to flutter my eyelashes, so in my late twenties I tried it again and the same thing happened, mascara everywhere. I gave it a few good goes each time but it just wouldn't stick to my lashes. What am I doing wrong? I would love to love it as much as others do as it's so affordable and apparently great. Do any lashalicious ladies have advice?
