Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara - Washable

I was really keen to test this mascara as I am currently using Maybelline Falsies & I wanted to see how they compare. First off; I loved the packaging as I think it looks more upmarket than some of the others. The wand looked a little disappointing as it is quite narrow & not robust looking so I was sceptical as to how well it would work. However, looks are deceiving as it did work very well. It really coated the lashes & as the brush is thin it means you can get right to the corner lashes without getting mascara everywhere. It describes a ‘flex tower brush’ which initially I couldn’t see what that meant. The flex part is that it bends where the brush joins the wand. You have to press quite hard on your lashes to get it to bend & to be honest I got just as much coverage without having to flex the brush that much. I did like that you could keep building up the length & volume without it clogging. I also wanted to see if you could reapply later in the day without it clumping as I reapply to freshen up before going out & don’t always want to take all my make-up off (who has time for that!) Well, it worked fine & better than Falsies. I chose washable as I often find waterproof mascara too hard to remove. This washed off easily with my facial wash/makeup remover. The flip side with washable mascara’s is that sometimes they are not as long lasting. Sky High was fine. I did get a little bit of shedding towards the end of the day but nothing too hideous but for a more positive review would prefer no flaking. I liked the Blackest Black colour too. Would I use it again? – Yes, it compares favourably to Falsies so would buy this over that & some of the others I have tried in the Maybelline range. Have I found the perfect mascara? – I will still continue the search but happy to use this in the meantime.

i love mascara so im always buying new ones because why not. i have quite the collection now!

i love the pink coloring and thats mainly why i bought it. i like the brush, its not my favorite but i can dunk other brushes into the formula and get mostly the same result. lovely black color and makes my lashes go va-va... almost voom. gets there very slowly but for a nice natural look? this is a winner.

it washes off really easily just in the shower with one cleanser but i use 2 to be safe. i like it and ill definitely keep using it!

So I did really enjoy using this mascara initially. It made my lashes look suuuuuper long and defined, without clumping or smudging under my eyes.

The only downsides to this are the price, I didn’t feel it was worth 24 dollars! The bottle seemed to dry up really quickly and started going a bit clumpy upon application after that.

Overall, I’d recommend it but I do think there are better mascaras out there!

This mascara is impressive. It has great hold, with a rather wet formula that dries very hard, keeping lashes lifted for hours. It doesn't do much volumising, but you don't get the gunky-looking clumpiness as a result. I wore it for about 10 hours, ending the day with a sad show along with tears and I didn't have any smudging, flaking, or running. It is difficult to remove, but coconut oil did the trick. My two big downsides are that it is more annoying to remove than expected, and the "true brown" colour I purchased for a natural look is much more black than I expected. The wand is also one of those rubber ones with very short stubby bristles, like L'Oreal Telescopic, but that's not a downside as it gets the product on right to the very tips of my lashes.

This mascara certainly delivers on its promise of adding length, I don't think I've ever seen my lashes so long! I didn't see a single clump, as promised it didn't smudge or flake, and heck - I even managed to poke myself in the eye with it and it didn't burn like my usual mascara! I was apprehensive when I saw the thin, long brush but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It allowed me to apply the product easily without making a mess. It also removed well using my regular facewash, no makeup remover required. My only gripe is that I don't really think it gave me as much volume as my usual mascara.

This was awesome, gave my lashes some much needed length. I struggled to get my lashes completely separated at first, but once I got a hang of the brush and texture it was fine. It comes off pretty easy too! Didnt have any smudging during he day which is nice. It's also a pretty tube too! Looks good in your makeup area!

I have only had four days to review this mascara as arrived a little late but have been putting it on every day so I can judge it fairly, I really like the pink packaging, it is quite eye catching. This mascara doesn't smudge and goes on very easily. Lashes don't clump or stick together so your lashes look quite natural. Sometimes its hard to put mascara on your bottom lashes but this was very easy. The brush is great. This for me is a day time mascara and although it makes your lashes lovely and long, there is no volume. I have been rubbing my eyes and my mascara hasn't smudged. I would use again but not for the dramatic eye effect.

The Marcara tube stands out being a beautiful pink colour with 3D writing. The mascara wand or flex tower brush is very flexible and while this allows you to maneuver around the corners of your eyes and define each lash, I did find it a little tricky to use as it's a bit flimsy.

The formula appears very thin in consistency almost serum like. I found it went on with minimal clumping and there is time to do a few coats before it dries.

It gives extremely good length but unfortunately little to no volume. I have thin eyelashes so after more then two costs my eyelashes looked a little spidery. I was worried it might flake/smudge easily being washable but it hasn't been an issue so far.

I liked that it washed off really easily. I just used my normal cleanser and was left with no panda eyes. I have sensitive eyes and found this fine to wear.

Nice alternative to fake lashes. Happily recommend.

Liked it for volume and no clumps factor. It delivered on promises. I'd buy this again. And the price is affordable too.
