The packaging is sleek and clean looking. It is a sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser. I like using pump dispensers as it feels like it it keeps the foundation fresh and hygienic. The pump dispensed a good amount of product. The foundation has a medium consistency. It smoothed on really easily and evenly. It made my freckles and redness around my nose disappear. When you spread the foundation around it turns into a very fine powder finish. It didn't move around my face. which I sometimes get around my nose with some foundations. It touched up very easily, although I found it didn't need much touching up and the foundation does truly stay put. This is a fantastic foundation to give you that classic flawless matte finish.

I confess i’ve never tried a Maybelline foundation before. It’s a go to brand for Mascara for me but foundation? It has never really been in my bucket of brands that I would even think about so I was intrigued to give this baby a go.
It’s marketed as a matte, full coverage foundation. I confess to being a bit nervous as i’m not one for a thick face of slap I generally like a more sheer coverage. But hey, i’m all for trying new things.
The product comes in a glass bottle with a PUMP. You read it right people a PUMP. I love this, foundation that come in bottles without do my head in! So we are already off to a good start.
I chose the colour Nude Beige and it’s perfect for me especially now. Interestingly enough, the texture of the product is surprisingly light, and…I tell you, a little goes a long way. In general one small pump is enough.
I applied it with my foundation brush and it went on like a dream, no patches or streaks and I was relieved to discover although it was full coverage…the final result was still very sheer and natural. I guess you could build it up with a thicker application if that was the look you were after, but for me it worked like a dream.
The only gripe I would have is that the writing on the pack is literally teeny tiny, even with my glasses on i’d be hard pressed to read it. I’m not sure why it has to be so minimal but anyway, i’m not gonna mark it down for that it’s just a passing comment.
I loved it and I will certainly be repurchasing once this runs out although given how little you need to use each time that won’t be any time soon.
Thanks Maybelline! You’ve found a new foundation friend.
Tips: I used a thickish foundation brush and it went on perfectly, and don't be scared by the words 'full coverage' it's beautiful on!
I didn't use a primer btw so you may get a different effect if you do.
I can't believe in all the foundations I've tried over the years, I've never tried a foundation from Maybelline (caveat I've tried a BB Cream).
First off I was impressed with the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump which dispenses the product nice and cleanly. The glass allows you to see the product colour.
On application it was smooth and easy to apply. I used a kabuki brush and it applied nicely without any streaking or patching. Now at the end of the day I can see that it has lasted well with only a bit of wearing in a couple of areas ( I think I touch my face quite a bit).
I had seen online that some people found this to be an oily foundation, but for me, who tends towards a bit of oiliness through the day, it has lasted better (in my t zone) than my Lancome foundation!! (can't believe I just said that).
This is some thing I would definitely repurchase!
Tips: For a lighter finish you can apply using a makeup sponge - my faves are from Chichi and Real Techniques :)
Actually love this product, I'm glad I didn't go darker but this is 1 I would need to wear in winter just so it doesn't look lighter on my face. I found with my elf primer and then this on top I could build it up a bit not that I needed to but to try it out really. Seems to cover the red blemishes on my face which was great to see.
(My skin type-combination) This product is beautiful! It blends beautifully and drys down to a smooth soft finish, it's also transfer proof. It smooths over poses and doesn't settle into fine lines. A good selection of shades. For me I would say this is a "Medium" to "Full" Coverage. It is buildable and it sits perfectly on the skin. Definitely a Super Stay foundation. They did a good job with this product.
Tips: Use a dense flat top brush to apply the foundation, I found it gives me fuller coverage unlike using your fingers or a damped beauty blender.
This is now my favourite foundation. After reading all the great reviews I had to buy some but I waited till it was on special. I was very lucky to pick a shade that matched, because I purchased at countdown where there are no testers. The coverage is pretty good medium buildable to full coverage. And it has a pump which is good so it's not messy.
Tips: Go to a chemist and test the shades out before buying
I didnt expect much from this foundation but OMG it delivered!!
Firstly - my skin is normal-dry depending on the day - so usually anything marketed as full coverage or 24 hour wear does NOT work for me and leaves me dry and patchy!
The coverage on this foundation is great - I use 1-1.5 pumps for full face, pretty full coverage. I personally dont like building it up too much more as it tends to look a bit heavy and cakey, not that you really need to build it up anyway.
Only downside is the shades are a bit whack - there arent very many shades, and they are oddly named (for example I am 010 Ivory, wheras in other foundations I am usualy a light-medium!) so if you cant get to any testers definitely look up some swatches online or on YT.
This foundation is such a good price I really recommend anyone who is interested to try it. I have almost finished my first bottle and will be buying a 2nd.
Tips: I find this applies best with a damp beauty blender, I find brush application more difficult :)
I bought this recently after a friend recommended it to me, she was absolutely blown away so I thought I should give it a go. Matte foundations aren't usually my first pick, but ohhh my gosh I have fallen in love with this! The coverage on this is just insane and so is the staying power! I have combo skin and I feel like this lasts really well all day on my skin and so far I haven't had any issues with separation around the nose and chin like I usually do with other foundations, this also doesn't leave me looking like an oil slick by the end of the day! The only thing is I'm finding it hard to find a good shade, they seem to be a bit yellow for me so I'm having to mix a couple together and it still doesn't seem right, but hopefully they release more!
Wow I was not prepared for this foundation to be as good as it is! I have always worn Lancome foundation and was in need of a new one (and potentially a new shade as I had just coloured my hair from blonde to brunette) so booked in at my local Lancome counter for a makeover in a couple of weeks time. When I got home I started researching alternate (and cheaper) foundations and stumbled across reviews on Maybelline Superstay foundation and they were so good that I thought I might give it a go myself. The universe agreed and had a 40% off Maybelline sale at Farmers so I rushed on down with nervous excitement. Oh my ... there are so many shades and I have to colour match myself which I haven't had to do before. I found a mirror and made lines of foundation on my face until I found what I thought was the closest match to my skin and then I wandered around the store for about half an hour so the foundation had a chance to oxidise and also gave me a chance to see how it felt on my skin because I really do not like touching my face and feeling foundation. I went home with shade 10 Ivory and couldn't be happier. It is the perfect shade for my Autumn/Winter skin tone and feels like I am not wearing foundation at all - it just feels like I have super soft skin. It comes in a square shaped tall bottle that is really easy to hold and it has a pump which works really well and you can easily control how much foundation you pump out. I put a tiny dot on my beauty sponge and tap it round. A few tiny dots (it wouldn't even be a full pump worth all up) is all it takes to cover my entire face and despite it being full coverage it looks so natural! It covered up my redness on my cheeks and made my complexion look smooth and even. I set it with a setting spray and some powder and it stayed on all day... family had presumed I had touched it up during the afternoon which I hadn't. I have even been to the gym and sweated away and it still looked good when I got back home. I am very impressed by this foundation and will definitely be purchasing it again - in fact I have cancelled my Lancome makeover and Maybelline Superstay is fast becoming my new fave and at this rate will be my 'go-to'.
Tips: Apply with a wet beauty sponge
I've really enjoyed using this foundation, the coveridge is awesome I've had a few problem spots before using this but it's been so good at hiding these. I normally use a high coverage concealer as well as full coverage foundation but all I need with this is the foundation. I did find you needed to blend it well and quite quickly as once it's on your skin it's not moving anywhere! And that's not a bad thing! I found it went on well with a damp sponge and worked into the skin nicely Another small thing I love it that the bottle has a pump for easy application which is different for Maybelline foundations which normally have a screw top lid. I like that there is a range of colours so I can have a lighter shade and a darker one. This foundation is a win for me and I look forward to trying the rest of the Superstay range.
Tips: Blend, blend blend real quick!
