The packaging is simple yet effective, - glass bottle with a white cover and pump. The bottle is clear so you can see what colour you are getting and it makes it easier to see when you are running out. The pump on the bottle dispenses just enough product so there's no wastage. The put on and pull off lid prevents any accidental spillages and keeps the product free from bacteria. A plus for me is that the formula is relatively fragrance free. I have normal to slightly dry skin that gets semi oily and a bit shiny in the T zone towards the late afternoon and in hot humid weather. I enjoyed using this foundation, it has a smooth semi-fluid texture and felt really lightweight to wear. I found it lasted well all day without feeling oily or greasy. It covered small imperfections like pores, blemishes and uneven skin tone. It's a full coverage foundation and a little will go a long way. I found it to be long-wearing and it stayed fresh and looked natural through heat and humidity. Whilst I didn't have the opportunity to test this foundation for a full 24 hours, I found that my makeup stayed put at least 12hrs without transfer or oxidisation. To apply the foundation I put a little bit on the back of my hand and then used a brush to deposit the product on to my skin blending outwards from the centre. I found the foundation applied well over moisturiser and was buildable when applied with a brush. It took a few minutes to dry down but presented a nice semi matte finish once set. I always apply powder over my tzone to ensure it lasts me the day. At first the colour seemed far too light for for my skin but after a few minutes the colour deepened slightly. I tested the 03 Ivory colour. I should probably have gone for the next shade as I did find it a bit too light for my skin tone. The finish is a natural, semi-matte that is easily buildable to a full coverage. For me using less foundation and blending out with a beauty blender or brush gives a nice medium natural looking coverage. This was a great foundation for my combination skin. In humid weather it was still perfectly in tact. It didn’t grab in dry places on my face, it always stayed even and did a good job of evening out my skin tone. I tend to get a little oily during the day, and I found this foundation was great at not sliding off, wearing away or making me look shiny. It was comfortable to wear. The foundation is best removed with an oil based cleanser, I use Lipidol cleansing oil. Overall, I found the Maybelline Superstay Makeup 24HR to be a really good reasonably priced foundation. It is suitable for anyone who is seeking long lasting coverage in a semi matte finish. Its great as a regular day to day foundation. One negative is that the foundation does not include a sunscreen making it necessary to apply another layer of product.

Tips: Smooth over face with a foundation brush gives a real flawless affect
Firstly I would like to thank Beauty Review for trusting me with this product to trial.
I am almost convinced that this is the ONE. I really enjoy using this foundation and I will definately purchase this once I have finished this trial bottle.
$33.99 for 30mls is great value in the world of foundations. This comes in a square clear glass bottle with a very convieniant plastic pump lid in white.
The shade I chose was sand, it was an amazing match considering I only had online swatches to look at.
I firstly used this foundation without a primer to see how it worked. I applied with my finger tiops as I usually do and it went on evenly and smoothly. I really liked the coverage it gave me, I do need a full cover foundation as I have quite an uneven skin tone. I am always concerned about getting a shiny look as the day goes on, however not one bit of a glow was present all day, thats a real plus for me! It is one of those foundations that while you are wearing it you actually dont realise it is on, it is very light weight. I was super happy with the staying power, it really stayed all day, until I cleaned it off that evening. I used my usual make up remover and it came off easily.
The following day I used a primer and had the same satisfying result. No shiny face or make up moving throughout the day.
Overall I am super happy with this foundation and will repurchase it when next I require a new foundation.
I've been on the search for a new foundation for a while now, so I jumped at the chance of trialling this. Luckily when it arrived it was a fairly close match for my 'tan' (aka joined up freckles). This comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump. The white plastic lid does cheapen the packaging somewhat which is a shame as this product compares well to other long lasting foundations which are double the price.
I applied this using my fingers as I can never be faffed with foundation brushes or sponges. I needed one and a bit pumps. This isn't as spreadable as some foundations so it's best to focus on part of your face at a time as once this stuff sets, there is no budging it. I have worn this outside all day on Sports Day, in a torrential rain storm and whilst trying on clothes and it didn't shift, transfer, cake or fade. I put it to the ultimate test - my very first Zumba class! Now I know I was sweating like crazy and that I would've have been bright red underneath this but you could not tell. I just had a nice dewy glow. In fact I think I looked like the lady who wears too much makeup to the gym as it still looked like I did when I applied it in the morning.
You will need a good cleanser to get this off. I recommend double cleansing with a hot cloth and an oil balm. I don't think anything less would be effective in getting this off which could led to skin issues. Whilst I still prefer a dewy finish, this is not a flat looking matte like some so I will continue to use it until those freckles fade. I recommend this to anyone who wants to 'set and forget' their foundation and just get in with their day.
I've really enjoyed using this foundation, the coveridge is awesome I've had a few problem spots before using this but it's been so good at hiding these. I normally use a high coverage concealer as well as full coverage foundation but all I need with this is the foundation. I did find you needed to blend it well and quite quickly as once it's on your skin it's not moving anywhere! And that's not a bad thing! I found it went on well with a damp sponge and worked into the skin nicely Another small thing I love it that the bottle has a pump for easy application which is different for Maybelline foundations which normally have a screw top lid. I like that there is a range of colours so I can have a lighter shade and a darker one. This foundation is a win for me and I look forward to trying the rest of the Superstay range.
Tips: Blend, blend blend real quick!
The packaging is sleek and clean looking. It is a sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser. I like using pump dispensers as it feels like it it keeps the foundation fresh and hygienic. The pump dispensed a good amount of product. The foundation has a medium consistency. It smoothed on really easily and evenly. It made my freckles and redness around my nose disappear. When you spread the foundation around it turns into a very fine powder finish. It didn't move around my face. which I sometimes get around my nose with some foundations. It touched up very easily, although I found it didn't need much touching up and the foundation does truly stay put. This is a fantastic foundation to give you that classic flawless matte finish.
I confess i’ve never tried a Maybelline foundation before. It’s a go to brand for Mascara for me but foundation? It has never really been in my bucket of brands that I would even think about so I was intrigued to give this baby a go.
It’s marketed as a matte, full coverage foundation. I confess to being a bit nervous as i’m not one for a thick face of slap I generally like a more sheer coverage. But hey, i’m all for trying new things.
The product comes in a glass bottle with a PUMP. You read it right people a PUMP. I love this, foundation that come in bottles without do my head in! So we are already off to a good start.
I chose the colour Nude Beige and it’s perfect for me especially now. Interestingly enough, the texture of the product is surprisingly light, and…I tell you, a little goes a long way. In general one small pump is enough.
I applied it with my foundation brush and it went on like a dream, no patches or streaks and I was relieved to discover although it was full coverage…the final result was still very sheer and natural. I guess you could build it up with a thicker application if that was the look you were after, but for me it worked like a dream.
The only gripe I would have is that the writing on the pack is literally teeny tiny, even with my glasses on i’d be hard pressed to read it. I’m not sure why it has to be so minimal but anyway, i’m not gonna mark it down for that it’s just a passing comment.
I loved it and I will certainly be repurchasing once this runs out although given how little you need to use each time that won’t be any time soon.
Thanks Maybelline! You’ve found a new foundation friend.
Tips: I used a thickish foundation brush and it went on perfectly, and don't be scared by the words 'full coverage' it's beautiful on!
I didn't use a primer btw so you may get a different effect if you do.
I can't believe in all the foundations I've tried over the years, I've never tried a foundation from Maybelline (caveat I've tried a BB Cream).
First off I was impressed with the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump which dispenses the product nice and cleanly. The glass allows you to see the product colour.
On application it was smooth and easy to apply. I used a kabuki brush and it applied nicely without any streaking or patching. Now at the end of the day I can see that it has lasted well with only a bit of wearing in a couple of areas ( I think I touch my face quite a bit).
I had seen online that some people found this to be an oily foundation, but for me, who tends towards a bit of oiliness through the day, it has lasted better (in my t zone) than my Lancome foundation!! (can't believe I just said that).
This is some thing I would definitely repurchase!
Tips: For a lighter finish you can apply using a makeup sponge - my faves are from Chichi and Real Techniques :)
Actually love this product, I'm glad I didn't go darker but this is 1 I would need to wear in winter just so it doesn't look lighter on my face. I found with my elf primer and then this on top I could build it up a bit not that I needed to but to try it out really. Seems to cover the red blemishes on my face which was great to see.
I was really impressed with this product, you dont need much, Its got good coverage on my older uneven skin and stayed on during a workout session, great product, very happy with it
Tips: I preferred to put it on a moisturized face
