Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink

I am always on the hunt for a comfortable, long lasting lip product that will actually stay in during food and I think I may have found it!

I received the lip colour ‘peachy’ and through many online swatching, I settled on this colour that is a my lips but better colour. This colour was the perfect choice as it is indeed my lips but better and provided a little hint of colour , for those days where you want something just a little bit extra to feel nice! This is also a great choice for work or everyday wear for (stay at home) mums like me who don’t really have many places to go but would like to apply a little lip product to feel nice.

Upon first application, it does feel a *little* but sticky but it settles down after a while and is comfortable to wear and almost invisible and forgotten! There is also a *slight* taste after applying but again like the slight stickyness, it goes away.

I also did specifically apply just before eating something and have to say I think it did last and wasn’t patchy like other longwear lip products. Will have to try with a variety of foods but feel might live up to its name!

I really enjoyed this lip product. The container itself is quite a bit bigger than other lip glosses/sticks etc I’ve tried in the past and it’s in cute modern chunky shape with VINYL embossed in capitals down the side and can I just say as someone with a clutter filled handbag how great this is to quickly find it blindly amongst other stuff when I need to retouch…iykyk. The colour I got was 35 Cheeky and it’s quite a dark mauve. It looked like it was going to be quite bold but it was actually close to my natural lip colour. I’m not someone who wears a lot of colour or anything very dramatic, I’m fair neutral cool toned with a bit of pink and red and struggle to find something that doesn’t throw to orange/terracotta on me. This colour was beautiful for me. The formula is a bit sticky to begin with but it drys down without looking matte, something I’m not used to with a wet look product. The applicator applies product nicely and evenly. I had no issues with it feathering however I did notice it transferred onto my cups and I did need to reapply mainly in the centre of my lips a few times but I enjoyed wearing it. It gave me a wet vinyl finish which I loved and found it wore well considering it wasn’t matte finish even if I did need to reapply. Best part for me was how non-drying the formula was because my lips are prone to dryness so that was a huge bonus for me. Definitely keen to try some of their other shades in this line.

I love it, beautiful colour. I put this on when I went to work and it has lasted all day, it has faded a little but is still there. It did stain my coffee cup a little but not as much as my usual lippy. It didn’t stain my teeth or run off my lips. It was a little tacky on my lips to start with, but didn’t last long. It had a lovely gloss for the first part of the day until lunch time. All in all loving this vinyl ink. Would buy more colours.

I remember Maybelline's superstay liquid lipstick when it came with a lip balm attached because it liquid formula was so drying.

It's come a long way.

The Vinyl Ink is so much sexier in so many ways.

First off, it doesn't leave your lips feeling like they took a trip to the Sahara Desert.

In fact the formula was so light after it dried I barely felt like I was wearing lipstick at all.

Application was quick and easy and it dried quickly, the associated flavour could however be improved.

In terms of staying power it did last pretty well throughout my workday, but by about halfway through it started transitioning from 'full bodied colour' to 'stained and could benefit from a touch up.'

I also really liked the packaging, although perhaps slightly bulky, it was cool and felt like at 'it' product.

I would super stay with this lippy, of which I had in the shade Lippy.

The Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink comes in a stylish container that is easy to open. The day I got the ink I had to be in some work photos so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try this out. The wand allows maximum precision when applying and was a little sticky after applying. I noticed on my first cup, a couple of hours after applying, there was a lipstick stain but when I checked, my lips looked a gorgeous peachy colour and my lips still had maximum coverage. Some fruit and lunch later, when I checked, the vinyl ink was still in place and stayed that way until I got home and had to remove it. Pretty impressive considering I had only applied one coat. Not only does it have staying power, it smells lovely too and I loved the 'Peachy' colour as it was natural looking. This is my new favourite lippy and I love that it gives a lovely shine and you don't have to reapply constantly. Highly recommended!

This lippy is a beautiful rich shade of red. The application is super easy with the soft tip at the end. It definitely is super stay, it stays put both drinking and eating. I’m tempted to buy a few of the other shades, that’s how good it is.

I've struggled with liquid lipsticks, probably due to my lack of coordination and my very thin lips. I find them messy and they highlight my uneven lip line.

So I'm super excited to have discovered this gem from Maybelline - thanks to BR!

This goes on like a creamy matte, but the finish has a slight sheen. So it's not flat or drying, it's moisturising and gives dimension to your lips.

It's easy to apply and holds a nice outline. Touch ups go on evenly.

I got this in the colour witty and I love it. It's a little bit vampy and very 90s.

WOW. Just wow. This is a smooth, creamy liquid liptick.

It's like Maybelline have taken the best of different lip products and blended them together into an uber-lip product.

I chose cheeky, it's a mauve shade that really compliments my skin tone. I think it's a shade that would look amazing on almost anyone.

I love the packaging, I love the branding, I love the product.

Go forth and buy it in alllllll of the shades!

I like lipsticks. I am also a lipstick floozy. I buy, I use and if it isn't love, it gets tossed into THE BASKET never to be brought out again.

I quite like liquid lipsticks, and I rode that matte wave hard. But as I get older I tend to gravitate to more sheen, just to stop the colour sinking into my crone lips.

This is a luminous lipstick with shine and colour. Once on it doesn't budge, but it also doesn't dry which is amazing.

The only thing I didn't like was I found the applicator difficult in terms of getting a neat finish. I ended up using an invisible lipliner, and then a fine lip brush dipped in the product to outline my lips before using the appplicator to fill

The 16 hour wear, no budge or transfer, had me eagerly wanting to put this lip vinyl to the test. The instructions were simple.....shake, swipe and go!! I followed these instructions but I found it to be sticky on my lips The gloss look was nice and the colour is great, however I found it did transfer to my coffee cup and water glass. I liked the idea of a vegan lip gloss and enjoyed using it. Sadly it didn't meet the claims for me, I found it no better than other lip gloss brands I already owned. Would I buy it? Probably not, overall I found it to be average.
