Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Review

I brought it because the packaging appealed to me, it was a spur of the moment splurge. After using it for a couple of times, it began to grow on me and I began to like it. But I recently discovered Revlon mascara and am in love with it! I will still continue to use the Maybelline but will probably stick to Revlon from now on :)

This isn't the best mascara I've ever used but I personally really like it! My lashes are very short so I really like mascaras that give a lot of volume and length, even if that means it looks clumpy. I don't like the flexible wand but the actual applicator is good for top lashes (not so good for bottom lashes). It has great staying power which is great during the day but not so fun when you are trying to remove your make up!!

the formula of this mascara is amazing, made my lashes super long and thick without clumping together too much. but a bendy brush is just not for me. i tried many times but just couldn't make it work for me! might be personal preference

I got this in brown and at first I wasn't fussed, but I realised that a couple of coats are required to really get something close to plush lashes. I use this on my bottom lashes when my black mascaras are too much. My lashes don't feel as stiff as they do when I've used something like Too Faced Better Than Sex.

The brush is a bit odd and takes some getting used to.

Not sure I'd pay full price for this again, or if I just like it because it looks quite natural in the brown on me.

I'm usually a 'stick to the one you know' kinda girl but I tried this mascara for the first time a few months ago and absolutely loved it! I am a big fan of the Maybelline range so I was thrilled that it didn't let me down. The brush is a little odd at first but once you get the knack, your away. The mascara lasts all day, makes my eyelashes super plush, long and doesn't clump. Better still, it wipes away easily with make up wipes at the end of the day. The only downfall that It is quite pricey, I'm sure there are equally as good mascaras on the market for less. I would, without a doubt, buy this again as I know it works and looks great.

OK first things first - the brush WILL take some getting used to! It's like trying to bounce mascara onto your lashes, and for the initial few applications, it was quite messy. However, once I got used to the brush, I actually found this mascara to be really good! I definitely wouldn't say it created mega plush lashes, but I did really like the application. I don't get any clumpiness and the mascara provides strong black coverage. In terms of volume and length, I don't really see a lot of difference, but I still will use this mascara on a day-to-day basis for a nice natural look.

Most of my mascaras are from Maybelline and this mascara is one that I constantly reach for when I want volume and extra length. It's great for a daily look or when you want to go out, just swipe some more of the product on your lashes! I have to admit the flexor brush handle is not the most ideal and I can see how some people would have problems with it, but personally I don't find it obstructive. I love how the brush separates each of my lashes and doesn't clump. However, I must say that I did not pay full price for this. I bought it on sale 2 for $5 at Big Bucket Deals. I would not pay full price for this, but I do recommend it as a great every day mascara which gives volume and doesn't clump.

Not the greatest mascara in the world but its better than nothing... made my lashes very clumpy and its hard to remove. Even when you think its all off think again!! Made my lashes very stiff.. not a nice feeling at all..

was great for first time use until I washed it of. very disappointing compared to other maybelline mascaras. would not come of easy and had to cleanse face couple times. I wouldn't buy again.

I found the mascara good but the brush very hard to use my eye lashes arent very thick and found the brush bending made it impossible to get to the roots and since my lashes are blonde you really need to get the roots as well so I had to use a different mascara for that
