Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Review

I brought this mascara as I love maybelline for their mascaras, the formula is rather liquidy and has not dried out compared to my others. However I do have mixed feelings about the brush applicator I do find It messy to apply to the top lashes and always end up cleaning it up off my eyelids but I do love the finish and I have no problems applying it to my bottom lashes it makes them so long and the colour is very matte black

I decided to try this as I love Maybelline mascaras, however this one was not so great. When I started using it there was just so much mascara on the brush each time it was ridiculous, I'd have to wipe some off before using it each time. Then when I put it on it would go really clumpy. I use a different mascara brush to even it all out.

Now that I've been using it for awhile it seems to have calmed down a bit. It gives a really nice finish and I find it lengthens my lashes really nicely and thickens them. I still often use a different brush just to declump a little bit.

It does come off easily which can be a bonus.

So not my favourite Maybelline mascara.

I read reviews of the mascara on a beautu site of some sort and decided I'd give it a go.

Well I gave it a go, a few goes but it failed me every time.

I got no volume and certainly no added length. It didn't even push my lashes up!

It flaked off and my gosh did it hurt when it got in my eyes, so do most things that get into your eyes though. It is still a result though that shouldn't of happened!

I'm highly disappointed with this mascara and will not use it again.

I do like maybelline products however i do not like this one, Its too clumpy when applying and after awhile of wearing it it starts to feel heavy would deffinately not use again...disappointed

Dont get me wrong, Maybelline is good for its formulas for thick, luscious lashes. This mascara doesnt disappoint.... but I HATE the wand with a PASSION. Every time you sweep the wand against your lashes, the damn tip bends away, meaning you literally cannot get the product into the lashes. I ended up using a wand from the CollossalLash mascara after about three or four applications. In saying that, the formula is very thin and I kept getting it on my lids every time i used it. I just wouldnt recommend. Ever.

I like this mascara but at the same time I hate it. I love mascara that is thick and this mascara is but each time you blink onto the mascara wand it seems to bend away from my eyelashes! I love having long and as clump free as possible eyelashes and when this is applied it does this just the wand is all I can't seem to get my head around. I usually use the Colossal and find this to be exactly the same in a different colour tube with a sturdier brush. The colour I used was blackest black which is brilliant. The mascara didn't make my eyelashes stick together and the removal was easy and also any mistakes were easily cleaned up too! I'm 50/50 about this mascara but different things work for different people and I'm sure some people would truly benefit greatly from this mascara!

This mascara was my favorite for a while, I had it in the colour blackest black. I love it for making my lashes long thick and voluminous.

It says that the mascara is a mousse formula and is meant to "wash off" I find it's easy to wash off but does take quite a lot of effort if your only using just water to begin with. I have sensitive eyes and this didn't irritate them at all which I was really happy about!

I love the brush as it moves with your lashes and has a unique shape! Overall I love this product and I will be repurchasing after I've finished my current mascaras

I was so excited to buy this as it's the only mascara from Maybelline I don't own. I love every single one of Maybelline mascaras until I tried this one. For a person who has pathetically short eyelashes like myself, I thought "Mega Plush" was going to give me huge bold, lashes. I was wrong, t did absolutely nothing for me.

The brush has a flexible tip, which I found difficult to control as it's not steady. It gets hardly any product on the brush, which I thought was a good thing, until I tried to put it on. It looked like I wasn’t wearing an mascara at all. It didn't lengthen, thicken, darken - nothing. It did nothing. In an attempt to make the mascara look better, I piled on a second coat, only to have my lashes stick together - and almost impossible to separate. I probably wouldn’t even recommend it for the purpose of the “no makeup makeup look”. It dries like powder, and after a couple hours almost literally falls off, which consequently leaves black residue, making my dark under eye circles even worse.

It was easy to get off, no make up remover needed, but that was probably because there was hardly any mascara on my lashes in the first place.

Overall, thoroughly disappointed. I just spent all that money for a mascara that might as well not exist.

This is my go to mascara when I'm going for a natural/no make up look, it gives me everything I need without being too over the top. I find it best for lengthening and I really love the flexibility of the brush.
