Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Review

I really wanted to love this product, couldn't resist the promise of soft full lashes - and it did deliver on the promise of softness, just not the fullness. The brush I found awkward, and if I do buy it again I'll go for the non-waterproof option - I found the waterproof one a little flaky. It's a lovely mascara for a natural look though, another maybelline goodie :)

I read some of the reviews and decided that I needed to try this out myself (I was also well over due for a new mascara!). I love this mascara the wand makes me use less pressure when applying it which helps me not to apply to much or get clumpy lashes. It adds length and definitely separates my lashes. If I want full lashes I just apply another couple of coats otherwise one coat is plenty for a very soft everyday casual look. Highly recommend this product I love it!

I purchased this mascara only last week i personally think its no different to the previous Mascara that came out (yellow one) it didn't make Much of a difference however unlike that the brush Is thick :)

I brought it as it came with a free colour tattoo and i needed a new mascara anyway and i loved it. Most mascaras go flaky in a matter of hours for me but this one doesnt at all!

Don't get me wrong I love Maybelline Mascaras but this one just didn't do it for me. Sure it coated the lashes and was not gluggy, it provided length and curl but I felt it was the exact same formula as the over Maybelline Volum'Express Mascaras just with a different wand type. This is what made me give it an average score.

Right, I purchased this from countdown the other day purely because it was on special for 20 bux and I was desperate. I dragged my boyfriend to the make up department and because im useless at picking mascaras with all their empty promises etc. I made him select it. His reasons were 'Its blue and its cheaper than the girliest looking ones!'!

So where to start, the packaging is quite eye catching and bright! I never use Maybelline mascaras so this was a first for me. Now upon first using this I was a little disappointed , it almost felt like the consistency was too 'smooth' or something. You know when you feel like you've applied it on wet eyelashes or something. they just seemed a bit flat, no drama. I didn't think much of it until I pulled it out a few days later.

AND LADIES!TRY AGAIN! I have been won over by this product, I am not unlucky in the eyelash department mine are reasonably long. I curled my eyelashes before application and they looked stunning. This mascara delivered great results. However the down side is that it does take a few layers to achieve my desired look. I don't mind spending time on lashes when I'm off out, but this is also great for subtle make up for work and during the day. It provided length, volume and maintained the curl from the eyelash curler. Very happy! Best part of all, no black smudges at the end of the day.

The brush of the mascara was a little bit chunky for my taste, however with any new product its all about learning and manoeuvring your eye and hands for perfection!

I would definitely buy again! I would recommend this is good for people who aren't always rushing to get ready, you can build up a dense dark look without it becoming all crusty and gross.

I purchased this in the weekend to take advantage of the free color tattoo eye shadow i love my great lash mascara but thought id give this a go..The moving brush takes a little to get use to but is actually super handy at getting the little inner lashes, I took a photo before and after and was quite surprised at the difference my lashes were significantly more volumised no clumps i love the look of this on my eye lashes and will continue to use may even ditch great lash after nearly 6 years!

Really love this mascara but it does need a few layers. After I have applied 3 my lashes look long and thick. Love it. I don't love the flex brush but that is because I have never used one before. I'm getting used to it. I brought this mascara and got a free eye tattoo at farmers the other day so it was a great deal.

First I’ll mention the flex brush – the first time I used this mascara it felt like I wasn’t able to get a firm stroke against my lashes, however after a few days I’ve gotten used to it and love how light it is. It coated my lashes well and gives them a really great curl, better than any other mascara I have tried. The brush takes on the perfect amount of mascara = no clumps or product build up on the end.

The mascara itself is awesome – It really lengthened my short lashes, without clumps. Even with multiple coats I didn’t get that dry, crunchy feel. Also liked that it dried quickly, no mascara smudges on the eyeshadow (which often happens due to my eye shape!).

I have thick dark lashes so what I really liked about this is that it gave a more natural appearance – perfect for the ‘no make up’ make up look. Despite the claims that it'll give you 'massive, supple volume', if you are after a heavy mascara that gives lot of volume and a dramatic look, this one isn’t for you.

I’ll be buying this again!
