Mellow Ultra Matte Lipstick in Blossom Review

Blossom is one of my favourites. I sometimes add Nude over the top mute the shade if needed. It stays on for hours.

I cannot allow such an amazing lipstick to suffer a bad rating, so I gave 5 stars across the board. I genuinely am very impressed with all aspects of this lippie. It’s long wearing, brilliant finish, lovely colour, easy to apply, etc. The matte finish is gorgeous and this lipstick stays firmly in place.

I got this from my friend when she cleared out a bunch of makeup she never uses. It's the perfect summertime watermelon red for everyday wear. The color is vibrant and cute, and looks great on my pale skin. It says ultra matte but it's actually not what I'd consider matte. It's very smooth to apply and is highly pigmented. It does rub off quite easily but I don't mind reapplying every now and then. This works great as a thin layer on the inner halves of my lips, which I blend out with my finger to make a gradient. Absolutely gorgeous!

I saw this in the beauty vault and decided to try it. I was rather disappointed by it. I expected it would be a nice pinky colour but it was a bright red. I tried to apply it lightly but it was still really bright. Other than that, I actually quite liked the lipstick. It applied really easily. Maybe I would like it in a different colour.

Looking at the picture you would expect a natural pinky colour. You can imagine my surprise when I applied it for the first time and it's almost an orange which definitely doesn't suit my skin tone, needless to say it will probably sit in my makeup box and never get used :(
