I’ve been using the Milani Baked Blush range for the past 4 years and on my skintone my favourites are Luminoso and Rose D’Oro.
They are affordable and from a distance the packaging looks pretty darn cute but just note that it’s relatively cheap plastic which is prone to scratches – I can no longer see the name Milani on my lot but I really don’t care because the product makes up for it. The compact has two compartments/layers, bottom for the below-average brush (typical of these types of products in my opinion) and the top has the beautiful product.
The two main reasons I love these blushes is the silky smooth texture and the great pigmentation swirled with fine shimmer just enough so that it leaves a healthy glow on my skin.
On me, Luminoso is a beautiful apricot coral with flecks of gold shimmer whereas Rose D’Oro is a coral rose-gold with what I feel looks like larger flecks of shimmer but is not overpowering. I feel both blushes have the perfect amount of shimmer to give off a lovely glow with a somewhat highlighted look (more so Luminoso).
The blushes are quite powdery so you will notice a bit of the product kick up but I tend to forget about it when I see how lovely it applies on the cheeks. My main issue is the lasting power or lack of – I can get a maximum of 2-3 hours before it begins to fade which is annoying because you can easily apply lipstick anywhere you go but blush requires a bit more concentration so you don’t walk out looking like Krusty the clown.
Would I recommend these blushes? Absolutely because you can still make the blush last by using a cream base underneath :-)
I was never a blush girl until recently, my god I was missing out!
I love this blush; it gives a subtle tint and also a sheen of highlight which is perfect for when you don't want to use multiple products. Berry Amore is my favourite shade. I apply using the Wet n Wild Contour Brush.
Tips: At $30 odd from Farmers, the price is reasonable, but I always hold out for the multi-buy deals!
