Mitchum Roll on Deodorant Review

This roll on deodorant by Mitchum is the best I have tried, definitely reduces sweating. This is the only deodorant I use.

Firstly ... Yes it is expensive.... Well more expensive than some of the other on the market. However, I find you use less (don't need to reapply as often).

Now the big question... How does it perform? Honestly I find it just smells like clean laundry. It's not over powering, it doesn't stain your clothes and it does fade fast

While not a terribly pretty or nice looking deodorant (I'm looking at mine now and can't really get over how much the dark green packaging of mine looks like a dude's deo), it's really really effective.

Generally about $3.50-4 a pop, it's very good value. It more than holds up after a day of running around the office and a decent gym session late at night. I personally only start feeling "not so fresh" towards the end of the night so I find that it holds up very very well.

The scent is fairly negligible. At most, a faint babypowderish scent so it's not at all overpowering. It's nice to have a deodorant that doesn't compete with your perfume.

The only down-side that I would give it is I find that it does tend to leave white marks so just be wary of that, particular if your job has you in a black t-shirt/uniform or the like. I'm willing to make the trade-off of white marks vs. potential sweatiness so you'll have to decide for yourself whether you're able to.

Hallelujah! After a traumatic recent experience with a deodorant that didn't work it's great to go back to a trusted brand that gets the job done. You never realise how much you take something as innocuous as deodorant or granted until it forsakes you. Why deodorant WHHHYYY!!??

The great thing about Mitchum is that it's one of those great deos that last longer than 24 hours. Perhaps not the full 48 like they claim but they will get you through a day where you forget to apply or a shower in the morning day one evening day two 36 hour stint with ease. Perfect.

I use the powder fresh smell because it's fairly neutral and I secretly love the smell of baby powder because babies bums awwwwww babies bums.

The roller has a great smooth action which is actually one of my main criteria in deodorants because I cannot stand that pinchy pully feeling from a tight ball (ooh that came out a tad dodge...).

The one thing I don't like about this is the bring packaging. It seriously looks like something you find lurking around gathering dust at the back of your Dad's cupboard. They've just slapped a pink stripe and made the bottle a lighter shade of green but otherwise it's still so masculine. Superficial though and what really matters (as I have learnt the hard way) is results with deo.

It's pretty awesome when a basic, everyday item is actually something I look forward to using - and this roll on deodorant is. I love the scented version as it smells like baby powder but isn't overwhelming and doesn't seem to clash with other body products or perfumes once it's on. I apply it daily in the mornings - although I have forgotten a couple of times and have been fine throughout the day, so it does seem to live up to its claim of keeping you dry for a whole 48 hours. The formula dries relatively quickly and doesn't leave any white marks, and once it's dry it's definitely dry and there's no sticky feeling during the day (unlike with some other roll on deodorants) - so I don't think about if I'm 'protected' at all as the day goes on, which is the sign of a good deodorant. I often applied straight after shaving, and never had any irritation. While I'm interested in trying some more 'natural' alternatives, this is a pleasant and cost effective product which I'd happily use again.

This deoderant comes in 2 forms as far am i'm aware of and have used. One is the standard roll-on, the other is in a creme stick from, and there is around a $10 price difference between the two.

The stick is my prefered option, and other than scent, I don't find it any different from other stick deoderants that i've tried (Rexona & Nivea clinical protection.) Which isn't a bad thing, these are all around $15 deoderants, and personally I think that they're generally superior to roll-on and aerosol types.

The stick is a creme that almost turns to a light powder upon application. It dries quickly and completely prevents sweating 100% (and i'm a heavy under-arm sweater). But it does tend to leave white marks on clothing, nothing that doesn't wash out.

The roll-on version I find also prevents sweating, but not for as long as the creme stick. It doesn't tend to leave white marks on clothing, but it's a very wet deoderant and takes a couple of minutes to dry.

I continue to buy this brand in both roll-on and stick form because I know that it works for me, and i've tried so many others that don't.

I’ve pretty much always been a dove or rexona girl but I was finding it just wasn’t doing the trick. I had always thought Mitchum was a little fuddy duddy but my teenage stepdaughter uses it so I thought I’d try. And it’s fab! Lasts the whole day and smells good!

For the product designed for my heavier perspiration, I found Mitchem really stood out against more expensive and perscribed under arm deodorants. I like the gentle scent of the powder fresh, which smells just like baby powder, plus how delicate and gentle it is on application. I do top up in the afternoon, from a personal preference and it does dry quickly. The only thing is that it will leave white marks on coloured tops.

I love this cos it actually works! Only problem is after awhile your darker singlets or tops will be stained white. But hey the deodorant does actually work. I used to have to wear tight white shirts to work and I found this was the only deodorant that actually kept me dry. I've since found the spray is just as good if not better and definately saves the singlets :)
