If you are familiar with MOR Marshmallow, you will know how good the scent is. Think pink musk sticks, floral notes and sweet tones.
Although this is bubble bath, I use it as a body wash, followed by the body butter and perfume. I cannot get enough of the marshmallow scent and get lots of compliments. The scent lasts all day and is gentle, not overwhelming and has a warmth to it.
The bottle the elixir comes in, is stunning. Once empty you could use it for so many things, I used my last bottle as a display bottle, alongside empty perfume bottles. It is elegant and the black and gold match any decor, being glass it is great to recycle.
The actual product is thick, I haven't used it as bubble bath but a shower gel instead. I'm not sure how it would be as a bubble wash, but using a loofah in the shower it worked a treat.
It is rather expensive so I would recommend buying the smaller MOR packets which has a more sample size of the elixir, body butter and perfume. or as an alternative you could give the soap a try, it also smells absolutely delicious.
The packaging of this bubble bath is the definition of luxury, and the packaging is the reason I actually purchased this product. It comes in a beautiful black glass bottle (which is really heavy), and looks so expensive and glamorous. It had beautiful gold detailing, and the luxury look is completed with a cute green ribbon tied around the top of the bottle. Another aspect I love about the packaging is the lid has a glass top, but a rubber seal so fits nicely in the bottle, sealing it properly, and further promoting that luxurious look and feel of the product. Another thing I like about this product is on the back of the bottle, there is a list identifying the base, middle and top notes of the product.
For those of you who are familiar with MOR products, you will know the popular marshmallow scent. A scent which I normally find too sweet in the perfumes and body lotions. However, this was the exact scent I wanted for a luxurious bubble bath, and I was not disappointed when I removed the seal to the bottle to smell the gorgeous sweet scent of marshmallow.
I would compare the texture of the bubble bath to a maple syrup but slightly thicker. It’s obviously not sticky, but the thickness, and the look of the product is very similar. I would say the colour is slighter lighter than maple syrup, so I would describe it as a very light clear golden colour.
The first time I used this for my bath, I followed the directions and used a few tablespoons, which created nice bubbles, but after 10 minutes of so, the bubbles pretty much disappear, and I’m just left with sparse and flat patches of remnants of bubbles. Now when I use this bubble bath, I’m a lot more generous with this product, which is a shame because it’s not cheap. However, when I use more product, the bubbles last longer so I’m happy. However an aspect that I am disappointed in is the smell. All the MOR products I use have a lingering smell, but this bubble scent was a let-down. When I add the product to the bath, I can smell it. It I pick up some bubbles, there is a slight faint smell to them, but the smell doesn’t really linger on my skin, or in my bathroom, and I actually have to really sniff to get a good scent when I’m having the bath, which is really disappointing considering the price of this product, and considering how most other MOR products have a scent that lingers around for hours.
So to be honest, I’m not really happy with this product. Yes the packaging is amazing, but it’s a lot on money to pay for bubble bath when the bubbles don’t last (unless you are generous with the product), and neither does the smell. This product didn’t dry my skin out, but didn’t leave it feeling hydrated either. Overall a bit of a let down. I will finish the bottle of but I won’t be re purchasing.
