I've been using this stuff for about six months and honestly - I can feel the difference between when I've used it and when I haven't. I've got fine, colour treated hair and I use a GHD every day - when I've used the Moroccan Oil my hair feels lighter and more 'finished'. I put it on when my hair is wet, then once I've finished styling I'll put just the tiniest bit on for shine.

Tips: Don't use too much - just a little bit goes a long way.
I didn't think that I would be that keen for an hair oil. Adding oil to your hair sounds like a recipe for greasy hair that looks like it needs to be washed. For that reason I decided to try the light version and have bought the small bottle of this. And would advise most to do the same (unless you have thick hair). I use the smallest amount in my hand in the morning after straightening my hair and apply only to the ends. I find it makes my hair silky smooth and not at all greasy.
Tips: Start with a small amount. You can add more but you can't take it away (although a small amount of dry shampoo can help in a pinch)
I was gifted moroccan oil light as part of a birthday present, although I'd heard good things about the morccan oil brand I was a bit hesitant to swap from the Argan Oil I had been using on my hair to a "light" formula, but I'm so glad I did. This formula is amazing on my stressed, really fine blonde locks. It's not quite as heavy as the other oil I used, and gives me great shine. I did find the consistancy quite runny, but it seems to soak in really well. The smell is delish too!
Tips: A little goes a long way, put the bulk in the midlengths and ends to avoid an oily scalp
it smells fab, it hydrates, it's not too heavy (as long as you don't apply too much). The best part about this is that it's for lighter coloured hair, so it doesn't stain your hair darker like the other version
I tried my Mum's as I didn't want to commit to the purchase if I didn't like it as it's quite expensive ($67). I LOVE IT! It is perfect for my hair which can get greasy easily from products. I can definitely notice the condition of my hair is better when I use this too. I have my hair highlighted quite blonde and there is no staining. I use it on wet hair before blow drying. No particular fragrance too it. I use one full pump per application and it seems to be lasting really well. I have medium length, thin-med thickness.
This light oil has a lovely scent, I have very fine hair so was a bit unsure if this would be too heavy. It is a great lightweight oil that defenately didn’t weight my hair down. I Use it after shampooing and conditioning before using the hairdryer it protects hair from further damage from heat. it helps smooth and add shine, but dosnt feel greasy, it absorbs well too. Love this.
Tips: Use a little and spread through the palm of hands before spreading through mid lengths and ends of your hair.
There’s a reason why this oil is so highly rated, it actually does what it says it will! The original was a favourite of mine but with my extremely thin hair it just made it look heavy. I was so excited when I discovered that they did a lighter version and it’s just as good as the original. My hair is thin but with curly dry ends and oily roots so am Oil is ideal just to run through the ends. I put a small amount into my palm and rub my hands together then run it through damp hair. It has really made the ends less frizzy and smells lovely . This brand isn’t cheap but for someone like me that doesn’t spend a lot of money on hair care this is my one splurge. It can definitely be applied all over the head to help with frizz and a large bottle should last about 6-9 months if used sparingly. I have recommended this oil many times and have only heard great things from friends.
Although it can be a bit on the pricier end, it is absolutely worth it! A little goes a long way, so a bottle does last for a while. The smell is nice and light and a couple drops helps smooth the frizz from my perpetually dry and unruly hair.
I've always used the original Moroccan Oil for it's shine and heat protectant properties ( as well as it's yummy scent)
Until I found my ends coming up super brassy- apparently the original has a colorant that they have left out of this one?
Still does a wonderful job of taming frizz, creating smoothness and shine, just with out the free colour ;)
Super easy to absorb and due to it's anti inflammatory nature I also use it if I get and dry skin on my lips/ hands.
Tips: apply to ends - mid lengths first, any residue left can be used all over - it will naturally work it's way up the hair shaft to the scalp.
I have super fine hair for reference (thick but fine and lots of it and wavy curls) and this is just about as good as the original but is a bit thinner/runnier in texture and sadly seems to have less of the amazing scent that I know and love. I thought I would give this formula a try since I have fine hair but I definitely find the original better for my hair type and I can use one pump vs the two or three I have to use of this one - so the original also wins in terms of value for money for me. Still a lovely product and worth a try if you are worried about weighing your hair down. But personally I will be going back to the original for my next purchase.
