I got the purple set of this at one of those cheap make up sales. The packaging of the box is bright and catches your eye easily! The bottles themselves are a cute little size, 4.5 ml. I've used them a few times and I doesn't look like it has gone down much at all! I found the brush a bit ineffective when trying to do a nail each colour, but it makes sense to have a smaller one if you are trying to do a gradient of all the colours on one nail.
I love purple! I love how this has a glitter feature nail option as well. The glitter is actually my favourite polish out of the set. I felt like my purples were in the wrong order in the pack (yes I'm THAT girl) so I wear them in a different order. They don't wear wonderfully well, but I didn't really expect them to since I paid $5 for them. But it's great for a night out look. I haven't tried them with a different top coat, that might protect them better?
I picked up a set of these wee cuties in a sale for about $10, which I see is RRP. I have the 'Spring Fling' set, which is a range of blue/green colours starting from a very pale shade, through a light, mid, dark, and glitter version. I'd call most of them 'teal' but for the palest, which is bluer. The kid also came with a clear polish.
The polishes are in adorable tiny bottles, which are each 4.5 mls (great if you're like me, and never finish polish!), and shaped like an inverted triangle (widest at the top and tapering down. The bottles are clear with black lids. The brushes are on the thinner, shorter side (necessary because the bottles are so tiny) but reasonably effective once you're used to them.
The colours are *gorgeous*. This is one of my fave colour families to wear, and the kit allows you to mix, match and create at will.
I have worn this as ombre with all the colours except the glitter on each nail (done gradient style, with a sponge, but also freehanded), and I've used these to create tonal nail art looks, but my fave way to wear them is either 'hand ombre' (one shade on each nail) or choosing which ever colour takes my fancy (they all look glorious with tanned skin but the mid range ones are better when I'm pale!) with the glitter as either a feature nail, or a glitter French tip.
The finish on these is very very good. They don't streak badly, come up lovely with a coat of the clear on the top and wear really well. I actually panned out the clear long before anything else and have purchased another LA girl clear polish to use again as it was so good for preventing chips and prolonging wear.
I'm very impressed with this set of polishes, and when I eventually finish them I'd buy another set, for sure. Great way to try a range of colours for cheap!
