I got the itch to buy one of these Audacious lipsticks after so many rave reviews all over the YouTube community, then while having a play browse I spotted Liv and it was love at first sight.
Quality, this lipstick has it in bucket loads and although I know the price is hideous at over $50 but it screams of being well worth it. Firstly let's look at the packaging, it comes in this cool touch black metal casing with the NARs name on the base part of the bullet in its shiny blackness. It feels heavy and just carrying it in my hands makes me feel special, sometimes you just need a product that makes you feel 100 dollars and just that little bit of something magical and I get this feeling from this lipstick. It has a magnetic catch inside the lid, so it won't be coming undone in your beauty bag or handbag, and it is strong to pull the lid onto the body of the barrel with quick a swift click, which is quite satisfying and had me playing with the lid quite a bit from the moment I brought it. Inside the lipstick is quite chunky and full once untwisted, you are not being skimped on my only having a half full lipstick. Engraved on the lipstick is the NARs logo again just to add another level of luxury to it.
Finally lets talk about the lipstick formula, oh my it is creamy so it is easy to apply and the pigmentation is out of this world, from the first touch on my lips I was staring back at a lovely fullness of colour that was truly matching to the colour of the lipstick itself. There was no need for a lip liner as it sat perfectly where I placed it, no slipping and sliding across my lips, or did it feather or leak into my surrounding skin it is a very well behaved lipstick. Even after a blot with tissue to settle onto my lips the pigmentation is intense and almost looks like a stain on the lips, but wipes off easily enough with a makeup remover. Long lasting even stayed put a little during lunch and drinking, however it started to fad just a bit around the inner places of the lips so a quick top up was needed to keep the colour vibrant and popping but the packaging of this little darling means you want to take it with you anyway.
Liv = This is the only shade I own at the moment (oh yeah I am going to have get a couple more, she needs some friends) Liv is an intense deep purple shade like eggplant and has a satin finish to it. The amount of compliments I have received whilst wearing this lipstick makes me love it even more.
Although this is a super rich high end brand lipstick and is expensive I do recommend it as I have never had a lipstick like Liv for the quality and luxury.
I had heard so much about these lipsticks. They were mentioned on blogs, raved about on YouTube and were splattered all over Instagram. That, paired with the good reviews I had read everywhere else, and I was sold.
I brought two lipsticks, and two that seemed so talked about. The colours were Anna (which was sold out for so long) and Jane. The first time I opened these lipsticks, I lost my mind. I'm not joking, I was shocked at how I felt about these lipsticks, I had literally never been so happy with my makeup purchases.
Firstly the packaging. Cue the angels singing because that's what it was like when I opened these lipsticks. The packaging is rectangle shaped and is black and sexy. The lid has a magnetic design which connects to the bottom half of the lipstick tube and almost ‘snaps’ closed.
The lipsticks are beautiful, they wind up revealing the word Nars written down the actual lipstick which I love, and the colours are stunning. I have Anna and Jane, Anna is a beautiful mauve, whereas Jane is terracotta. Both colours have identical formulas (which is good since a lot of products don't do this).
The formula is lovely, there is no smell but these glide over lips and feel more like a lip balm then a waxy lipstick. There is no tugging, they just apply beautifully and feel moisturizing and hydrating. They last a long time on my lips, but when they do wear, they don't exactly wear evenly, and leave a heavy 'lip liner' look on my lips, but that’s easily fixed by applying more lipstick.
I really like these lipsticks, even though they are pricey. I would love to get my hands on some more.
