Great Product

This is the first concealer I've actually bought and used regularly, and it's one I'll definitely repurchase. I have pretty bad dark circles under my eyes, but I also have fine lines there which meant that most concealers I'd tried previously were a bit useless; they'd look good initially but crease like crazy and I'd have to take them off. Anyway, this concealer - while not entirely crease-proof (although maybe I just have weirdly crease-inducing eye sockets) - does just what I want it to. It's easy to apply with your fingers or a brush, the shade range seems decent (I use 'Vanilla') and it stays put. It also looks really natural and doesn't have any of the bizarre glitteriness that other brands put in their under-eye concealers (sup, Clinique!). I'd describe the finish as somewhere between matte and dewy. I usually wear this over a tinted moisturiser or sunscreen. It works well for covering spots, too.

Tips: Not really a tip, but the RRP above seems wrong - this cost me NZ$46 from Mecca.

Fantastic!

This concealer has been a staple for me. It's great!

For a while I fell in love with the Nars Soft Matte Concealer, and while I still use that everyday, it can't replace the Nars Creamy Concealer.

As I get older and the dark circles under my eyes get darker and the skin gets thinner, I struggle to find concealers that don't cake, look heavy, or settle into the fine lines under my eyes. Luckily the Nars Creamy Concealer is there for me - time after time. It's not cheap by any means, but it does work, and it has earned the rating it has received.

Tips: Use a sharp concealer brush to clean up around your brows for perfect definition!

Creamy?

I splurged on this concealer and am so disappointed in it! In my opinion it's not very creamy, on me it's hard to work with as it dries really fast on the skin. I like products to be creamy and hydrating on my skin as I can get dry skin, this would probably work better on oily skin tones. Oh and this creases on me.... And I don't really have problems with other concealer a I've used. Big fail for me but may work for someone else!

I didn't find this one creamy either! My skin is dry under my eyes but my face is more combination. It doesn't work well anywhere on my face. What up NARS?! Have you tried Sheer Glow?

Thanks for your review-I've been looking at this concealer for a while now but reading about the problems you've had blending it I will stick to my Rimmel one(and its a lot cheaper!)

Wow!

Impressed doesn't even come close in describing how much I love this concealer! Previously I had been using a Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Concealer, which was ok but a little bit hard to blend and it would dry too quickly. I found the Nars concealer is far superior and it definitely does what it promises! I use it in the shade Vanilla (With 'Fresh Alabaster' Clinique foundation) and not only is it creamy and easy to blend, but it also definitely gives me a softer looking complexion! It has not creased at all for me and it is very easy to apply, so this is definitely my new favourite concealer and one that I would highly recommend!

Tips: To make sure you get the right colour, bring your foundation into the store and the makeup artists will be more than happy to help you find the perfect matching shade :)

Thanks so much for sharing! I can't wait to give this a try. Matching colours can be such a pain, so great tip to bring in your foundation :)

In Christchurch I get mine from Mecca Cosmetica and I'm sure there'd be one in Auckland :) I'm pretty new to make-up as well, but I found it easy to use so I would definitely recommend it!

Its slowly making its way to my HOLYGRAILS

This is a recent addition to my collection but oh my, its so lovely and the only thing i regret is that i haven't purchased this earlier.

The consistency is creamy, not too thick and not too thin, non drying and just a dream to blend in. I think its going to replace my love for Mac prolong wear which is a big claim. I also like the doe foot applicator, unlike mac prolong wear that has the most stubborn pump. You only need a little for this concealer to give a really good coverage.

I do sometimes find mac prolong wear to be a little drying so I'm glad that is not the case with this. However, i experienced very little creasing that a setting powder would fix. Its very highlighting as well. The blend-ability is amazing! And it doesn't dry too fast that you're not able to blend it out. Im truly impressed with this concealer and I've been reaching for it more often.

P.s: didn't mean to compare this to mac prolong wear but couldn't help it.

Tips: If you're applying under your eyes, apply just a little amount below the bags of your eyes and blend up, not directly. It gives a more natural, highlighted look and prevents creasing :)

The concealer to save my fine lines!

I have been hearing people rave about this concealer, up there with the Mac Pro longwear and I took the opportunity to pick one up when I was in Sephora in the States. My nc15 made me the shade vanilla which is just right. I apply this by putting a line under the eyes and blending it out with my fingers. I found there to be no creasing compared to the Mac Pro longwear that was pretty close to solving the problem. I've been very impressed with this and I will continue to buy it, even in New Zealand dollars!

Tips: Blend it out with your fingers. It warms the concealer up.

Nars Creamy Concealer - Amazing!

I am always on the hunt for a good concealer that doesn't accentuate fine lines as I'm mid 30's and no longer have creaseless skin under my eyes! I have the MAC prolongwear which I do like, but I find it still creases so the hunt continues! I decided to purchase one of the Nars creamy concealers while I was having an online shop at Sephora so when it arrived, I couldn't wait to try it! I bought the shade Vanilla (pink undertone). The applicator is a sponge like applicator which find ok, sometimes I find that it takes a few goes to get enough of the product onto the applicator and under my eyes but apart from that I really love his product. It is definitely creamy and its not as thick and heavy as the MAC one which I think is a great alternative. I usually use my fingers to apply under my eye area as I feel that it applies better this way than a brush and with my fine lines I can pat on extra onto certain areas where needed. Then I use my XO Tapered Top Synthetic Face Brush to just even out the area. I generally find it doesn't crease too badly, maybe after a few hours wear it will start to crease a little but generally I'm really happy with this product, as long as you set it with a powder under the eye it will last a bit longer.

A great concealer to try if you are wanting something to even out your skintone under the eye with a medium-high coverage that is buildable.

Worth the Hype!

After SO many reviews and YouTube Guru recommendations I had to purchase this product. Like all Nars products this did not disappoint! It's like the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on steroids. It does everything: conceals (obviously), doesn't cake, doesn't crease yet leaves the skin luminous and not dry looking. Therefore it is perfect for both covering blemishes and all over the face. I would definitely recommend to any concealer junkies. If you can't afford and prefer coverage the Collection Concealer is a great cheaper alternative.

Tips: Mix with a lighter coverage foundation for a luminous and higher coverage finish.

Not the one...

This was originally purchased with the intention to use it under my eyes. I have very dehydrated / dry under eyes, which not only have dark circles, but also have a million fine lines - lucky me!

I wanted this to work so bad, but instead it worked bad...

After only a few minutes of applying a light layer to my under eye area, this concealer creases badly on me. I've tried it on my days off, and have worn it around the house just to see if I can make it work, but by the end of each day that I've done this, it has caked up and gone really dry.

There is not as much coverage at the end of the day, and it also manages to find its way into my lines - showing off even more than I knew I had - eeek! I'm not too sure where creamy fits into the title of this concealer, because I really have found it to be anything but!

Seeing as I can't use it under my eyes, I've decided to use it on my face - I can't bear to waste a tiny tube of $$$!

To me it is just an OK facial concealer, and I'm not too sure if I would buy it again for this...actually, I probably wouldn't. I find that it wears off, and while it covers things nicely to begin with, half way through the day it looks powdery on my combination skin.

The more I think about this one, the more disappointed I am...seems like it works so well for so many people!

Tips: If you have dry / dehydrated under eyes, this one isn't for you... If you can, get a sample or try it on at a store at the beginning of the day, and see how it wears.

Thanks Sylvia! I haven't tried MAC Pro Longwear before, so I might have to give it a go - especially if it works on someone with similar problems! With all the technology out there, how is it still near impossible to find the perfect concealer?! x

Great review! I've been tempted to try this, but sounds like it probably wouldn't work for me - nearly every concealer I try creases really badly. Have you tried MAC Pro Longwear concealer? It's the only one I've tried that doesn't crease at all. :)

Amazing coverage concelaer

I've been using this concealer for about 6 months now and have been converted from my previous favorite.

It comes in a tube with a twist lid and doe foot applicator, which I love. It also comes in a huge range of colours, some of which are even fair enough to be able to highlight on my fair skin!

The coverage of this concealer is amazing, with a few small dots, I can get great coverage of my dark undereyes (I'm no longer told I look tired!!), without it looking heavy or too dry. It blends out well, and has a natural finish and is long lasting. Its also great at covering redness on the face, as I love to use this around my nose and on acne scars.

Tips: I do have to set this with powder under my eyes to stop it from settling into my fine lines, but once set it doesn't shift!
